no return phone call no direct phone number for the chester branch 20 minutes minimum to get though to a call center and then to be put on hold for the call to just turminate. wrong color feet on our new sette and what we believed to be a british company our sweet came from china. would never buy from them again.

Purchased a sofa told the salesman prior to purchase it looked like a friends that started peeling. He was adamant it was genuine ITALIAN LEATHER. After six months it started peeling now 7 years on in is in a terrible state. Feel like dumping it on their doorstep. This item was not fit for purpose. Have purchased several thousand pounds worth of stock will NEVER buy anything else from this store. I reported it but no one was ever interested. Now looking for another one of course will not set foot in Furniture Village again.

Having had a sofa delivered damaged over a year ago, many phone calls and visits to the store we are no further forward! Totally frustrated and very disappointing with customer service! Every time I call I’m promised someone will call me back but surprise surprise they never do. The only response we got was a phone call after I emailed with again another promise I would get a phone call first thing this morning and wait for it!! No phone call! Would not recommend this company and the sofa is poor quality for the price we paid.

Over 17 weeks have passed and still no sign of our dining room table & 6 chairs. The Exeter branch have seemingly buried they're heads in the sand and remain silent regardless of my calls and emails. Buy from this store at your peril. They take your deposit and fail to deliver anything. I suspect the table and chairs are in with the box of unicorn horns... there is more hope of them being delivered!

I contacted them about the issue from last 1 year and no outcome however, they say I am out of warranty from august. Yeah so? I have contacted regarding this from December. Must avoid at all cost.

Even one star is to much I brought 2 swivel chairs and 2 stools they made a mistake at the Ipswich store and after ordering them beginning of July I went into the store in October snd found they had been sitting in the warehouse snd no one told me they turned up in so many bits it was ridiculous , after being pushed from one store to another trying to get someone to put them together as I was told this should have been done no one wanted to help me even the staff were found out to be lying to me i even e mailed the ceo who couldnt be bothered to get back to me their after care service is disgusting Steer clear of this company

Furniture village haven’t made me happy.We purchased Azione 2 two seaters suite. Since we have had it it has been making creaking noises a technician come out to inspect it took the back off the suites and found that the joints of wood were splitting. He repaired but now the stainless steel legs are buckling. There is only me and my wife and a suite shouldn’t have gone like that the cost of the suites were £3850 they are a disgrace furniture village I would never buy off them again Still waiting for the promblems to be sorted .

Our 4 Seater Bronwyn sofa was delivered with incorrect throws. We have been in touch with the New Malden branch so many times but never received any positive feedback from them. It has now been almost a year since we placed the order and we still have not received the right cushions

Absolutely despicable company. I purchased a sofa because I developed neck and back pain to the extent I'm having physiotherapy. The sofas that arrived are not equivalent to the standard I've received. The head rest protrudes over the back rest causing me pain. This is in addition to the dents and misalignement on the chair. Despite requesting a return, I was advised that I need to have a Technician to confirm that the sofa is affecting my back. I am totally flabbergasted at the response and lack of concern for my health needs

Do not order from Furniture Village. We were asked to transfer money into a private account and were never given a receipt. We received a mattress but no furniture. After dozens of calls to customer services and to Scott Taylors mobile, which he insisted I use, I never got anywhere. We have been waiting 10 months and have now been informed that Scott has been sacked due to missing furniture etc. We were told that we would have to order from scratch again and wait up to 6 months for a delivery! I was told I was not allowed the regional managers number and that my complaint didn't need to be escalated that high!! I think theft would warrant speaking to a regional manger or higher. The whole debacle has left a bitter taste and I would urge you not to deal with this company

I had been considering ordering from FV until l read these reviews. They are from people who don't know each other and yet they have all had very poor experiences. FV - are you reading these reviews?

We bought a sofa in 2013 costing £2200. We also paid extra for Guardsman cover at £160. The sofa has worn badly peeling etc. I have another leather sofa I had in 2006 which still looks like new. I have treated them both the same and I feel the one I was sold is not genuine leather! Like other people I too was told the guarantee is out (after 5years) and sorry! I would have expected this to last more than my previous fabric one which lasted until I got fed up with it after 12 years. Something terrible wrong with some of their 'genuine leather' sofas and they just don't care! I will certainly not buy anything else from them although I guess they on't care if I do or not! Customer service does not exist after you have placed your order and with all the bad remarks they have received, they need to change their act or go broke!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! Ordered a lamp in April said would be in stock beginning of May. I was happy to wait. Lamp still hasn't been delivered now there saying lamp should be in stock end of November. No one will update you on delivery unless you contact them. Now waiting for a refund

Terrible - do not buy from them. I paid extra to have my old mattress taken away when they delivered the new one. The delivery company refused to take it as it was not stated their documentation and the shop will not refund the collection/disposal cost.

Appalling service. I have now waited 2 days for a return phone call. I phoned initially because in June we paid a substantial deposit for 2 x sofas. It is now 15 weeks waiting and we havent even been able to speak to someone. The least they can do now if and when the sofas do turn up is to drop the delivery charge!

Purchased two leather sofas from Furniture Village and after just six weeks of minimal use they looked absolutely awful. I contacted FV and they sent out a technician who advised that it was an Italian made sofa in a loose fit style which is favoured by Italians who like the lived in look. Despite enquiring at the point of purchase about the leather quality/grade, I was never informed it was a loose fit style and if I had been I wouldn’t have purchased it. Incidentally the sofa in the showroom has apparently been in store for over a year and looks far better as did my 19 year old leather sofa which I changed because I wanted a different colour. I would avoid FV at all costs and I will add pictures so you can judge for yourself.

Absolutely appalling. Been waiting since June for my items. Nobody rings you back . They've got my money so they're not bothered Next step - chargeback action via my bank. 'Which' website has a step by step guide. Wish I had never heard of furniture village!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm an happy with after purchase service because I am contacting them to see their product condition and it's still under warranty now 6 months passed we just get promises we will contact and we will visit you to see and no one contact and no one visit. totally not happy with this company.

We took a while to choose a sofa, finally picking one that was very comfortable in store. We paid up front full amount (advise not to do this) We noticed on in store product arm was dented but they said it was the way it had been stored in warehouse. Our sofa arrived after delays 13 weeks later. The delivery was terrible and hall was damaged. The sofa looked terrible. The backs were over stuffed causing distortion and making it impossible to sit on. It looked nothing like the one in store. It was very uncomfortable. We complained. A man arrived and was at our house no longer than 10 mins, said nothing took a picture of sofa and underneath sofa and then left saying report would be in a few days. Heard nothing. After another week the arm had a hole in it. we have no children or pets just us in our 60s. No one called me from customer service. I called them again and said I wanted a collection and refund. The said that would be ok and arrange collection. couple of weeks passed nothing. I then called them again. This time they said they man who came to the house said no manufactures fault and no refund. We are left with a £1000 sofa, looks terrrible and adds no comfort for my unwell husband. No interest at all from furniture village Reading. Or Resolutions team. Not bothered, not interested, after all we had paid them our hard earned money why would they care. Not sure what to do now, another phone call, another person clearly not interested. DO NOT BE TAKEN IN BY FURNITURE VILLAGE THAT THEY CARE. I could weep. It could have been resolved very nicely in the beginning with good customer service, but I would no longer trust them. NEVER USE YOUR CASH TO PAY, GET IT ON TERMS WHERE AT LEAST YOU CAN STOP PAYING IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM.
