Hi. Like everyone has said so far that when you go in store they are all after you to get a sale off you but when it comes to after sales service...well it may as well not exist or brand the company as being from the third world country as it hasn't got the British Western culture it was once meant to have taking pride in its service. Bought sofas and the one side of the furniture came wrong and in fair play the drivers were excellent (they should be promoted to replace the management as they were very polite and sympathetic) but no top managers followed up with phone calls to say they were sorry and would look into not just rectifying the situation asap but also compensate us in way of fuel as we had a fair distance to travel from Newport to Bristol but also throw in a rug or something to keep us as a loyal customer and perhaps refer others to the store....really...Hmmmm!!! As yet, and it has been a few weeks and a big fat ZERO for after sales service.....ZILCH for service. A shame that in UK we have service like this...I feel sorry for the Owner of the company as long as he too is not involved in the careless service. A very dissatisfied couple. Had no choice but to give it one star as you have no choice to give minus stars!!!

TERRIBLE SERVICE, RUDE STAFF AND NO CUSTOMER AFTERCARE: Spend close to £15K in Furniture Village Watford, had loads of items arrive faulty and replaced, including power sofas and lighting, etc. It’s been 11 months since I put the order in, there were problems with the sofa twice and the lighting they sell, I asked for help to deal with the issues, not only the problems are not solved, the staff was utter arrogance and rude ignorant. He seemed to be very un-helpful and defensive. I still left with the problem, and cost me more to fix the issues. PLEASE BE WARNED – they are friendly and pushy when you buy from them, the good reviews from the customers were those without problems, however, should you have any issues, ‘ZERO’ support will be get from them and leave the mess you will deal with it. A VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER AND WE WILL NOT GOING BACK TO THIS STORE OR ANY OTHER STORES DUE TO THIS EXPERIENCE

Terrible aftercare service. Terrible quality. Sofa delivery was delayed and when it arrived the sofa was nothing like in the showroom. The chaise (Chill range) has too much stuffing in it and the back cushions collapse as soon as you lean on them. Called FV Watford 4 times without anyone calling me back or trying to resolve the issue. Had to go into store in the end, and when I explained my issue they were aware of other customers having similar problems. 4 months after ordering, the problem is still not resolved.

The staff in the York store are smug, arrogant and the most unprofessional, unhelpful bunch of people I have ever had the misfortune to come across. There are plenty of other furniture stores alongside this one, I would recommend you go to any of them!

This is to advise anyone who has had to complain about the lack of after sales service. A free online site called ‘Resolver’ can assist and quite often achieve positive results. Do not give up

Bought a mattress as reccomended by the floor manager for £489. Bed developed a large dip on one side in three months. Funiture village sent out a technitian who said it's from general wear and tear and there's nothing they can do about it. First response from customer service was talking about a leaning chair, so obviously just copied and pasted from another complaint. Really get the idea they couldn't get a monkey once they have your money. I spent weeks looking for a good mattress to invest in and a lot more than I would normally have spent. Will just go to the local mattress factory and get a £200 one next time. At least then I won't be as dissapointed if it goes wrong in just a few months of normal use.

Disgusting how i have been treated by this brand, i waited 8 weeks for my sofa to be delivered in the wrong color and after this i have emailed and called now for over a month and been ignored each time they say they will get back to me and do not and i call and no answer, I still have the sofa in the wrong color with no option to swapped or return my sofa to the correct color nor have they even emailed me back with an apology of some kind! Don't waste your money and buy here unless your happy for a lucky dip on what sofa may arrive!

Went to my local store on Sunday in Birstall was approached by young salesman called dan was very pushy said to me I am just with another customer and I will help after I have fineshd he was already with a customer on a desk taking a payment when he got up and said I will help u on a bed and he actually said am on commission I have kids and wife to feed so wait for me that’s not very professional for a salesman to say that and make me and my wife guilty about his commission so we ignored him then was approached by another salesman called Charles who was very understanding and professional and we bought a bed of him thanks charles

Paid for two sofas £4000 given 4 different dates for delivery. Called given another different day for delivery, was told we are lying we were never given the date change again, lucky for me the conversation is recorded. they have breached the agreement speak over customers and lie constantly to said customers. I paid for the sofas on my credit card so thankfully covered to be refunded back. My advise is always pay for goods on your credit card it gives you better protection. Don’t use this company they are very polite in taking your order but once you step foot out of the building your treated with no respect. Cameron from the Birstall store you don’t have the first clue of customer service let alone consumer rights.

Simply atrocious. I ordered at the Purley Way Croydon in person with an A3 scale drawing of my hallway asking for a sofa that would fit that pinch point. I was repeatedly assured that the backs come off the sofa which I chose, and that there would be no problem whatsoever. I re-checked this crucial point, and also pointed out that I would be moving in 6 months and need a removable back. I waited the 9 weeks it takes. The lorry turned up over an hour early on the specified day, while I was still clearing the hallway. Managed to finish moving furniture around the house in a bit of a rush, and took the broken-down old sofa to the bin shed to enable free moving space for delivery. Delivery staff then said the sofa couldn't have the back removed and they'd have to return it to base since it would not clear the corridor. An engineer was supposed to call me back that day so I stood by [day off work now]. Never happened. I called at 4pm describing the situation, someone said they'd call back in an hour. Nobody did, so I emailed, no response for at all. So I called again, got an assurance someone would call me later. Eventually spoke to a manager who said that FV take no responsibility for access issues. I mentioned this was a trading standards issue since staff are describing items at point of sale incorrectly. Was assured that staff are fully trained and that access issues are not their responsibility under terms and conditions which I should turn to and check. Advised to put all my furniture back in the hall and living room since delivery would not be made that day despite assurances to the contrary. Asked to terminate the order, they refused to advance this. They have £1800 of mine, and I've wasted a day of annual leave. I am sitting on the floor in chaos, am quite elderly and haven't the energy now to put everything back. Will have to take legal and/or Trading Standards advice of course for mis-sale. They are not a fit organisation to undertake transactions with.

Had a really bad experience after buying a 700 pound mattress it has ripped from end to end luckly i took guardsmen insurance out but they only offered 350 cash or replacement which is fine but the manager at birstall is the most arrogant narrow minded man i have ever spoken to he seems to think he is doing me a favour by replacing it well i will be making a complaint about him but for sure i will never buy anything from there again

Bought a dining table, 4 chairs sideboard and top February 2018. Waited 5 months for delivery. When the items arrived, the sideboard top was the wrong design. After being told there were two tops, both with the same barcode waited another 3 months for delivery of the right one. They delivered the same style again so we had two. Refused them both and took a refund. Now, 18 months later one of the sideboard doors has a crack in it. Been ringing up for 4 weeks now, have sent photo's and description. keep getting passed around. Apparently the manufacturer is not returning their calls!!!!!!!!! Disgusted.
