“If I could give this review I would. Purchased ‘sun lounge’ just over 2 years a go. When it was delivered and after my contractor had started to put it together he discovered that they had sent two identical ends! It leaks like a sieve. Now I am in the situation of owning a wooden colander! Not only does the roof leak but the sides as well. Not worth complaining because if you use your own contractor that will be their get out. When you call them you are talking to someone in Peru or similar so communication is not great. I now have it wrapped up in a tarpaulin like a parcel until the weather improves. They won’t recognise my email because I never managed to set up an account which could be recognised”

“If I could give 0 stars would had items replaced 3 times as lots damaged and es h time new damaged items came. Absolute joke of a company avoid customer service is appaling”

“If I could have given it zero stars I would have I wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing my Billy Oh greenhouse from them as I would have avoided them like the plague. I have now found out the Billy Oh Greenhouse is their own product and I have to say it is a pile of rubbish. It is flimsy and the panels blow out at the slightest bit of wind and to get them back in,,you either have to prize them back in or unscrew the whole roof section to slide them back in. These started blowing out within a month or two of purchase and after spending the whole of last summer repairing this, now the winter is here it is now beyond repair and still within the 12 month warranty. I phoned Garden Buildings direct and they basically expect you to go through hoops to get your money back. The instructions to assemble are difficult and I am pretty good with flat pack furniture. It said it should take a few hours but took me many more. Avoid the Billyoh Greenhouse and gardenbuildingsdirect alike”

“WARNING: Do NOT purchase a BillyHo plastic shed under any circumstances. You have been warned. I purchased a 12’x8’ shed to replace my rotting wooden shed. WELL, I’m a fairly competent DIYer and this shed is made out of Estate Agent’s flimsy plastic advertising boards! There are almost 900 parts & 31 pages of picture instructions which you require a microscope to see the details. It also states it can be erected to completion in 6 hours by 4 persons. Well if anyone has managed this they deserve a Nobel Engineering Prize and a place in The Guinness Book of Records!! It is so unnecessarily complicated that NASA could use the technology of how all this fits into 3 boxes!! There are literally hundreds of different screws etc that you have to get perfectly lined up or they will not start!! In addition, you cannot slide the joining pieces together without a silicon spray!! Fisher Price toys has gone up in my estimation. So next time you put out your recycling bag remember, someone will end up with a Billyoh shed as a result. On the bright side, I will persevere and complete it just to prove the impossible can be achieved assuming the overnight Gale doesn’t blow it back to China where it belongs.... You have been warned.”

“Absolutely awful company!!! Paid nearly £2k for a shed, when it was delivered we checked all the million parts were there like we were told too. We then paid someone to come and build this and he got near the end and 16 planks of wood were made 2cm too short so it didn't fit, so we were left with half a shed up with no roof on and in the winter so the wood got soaked through and when I rang to get the right parts sent we were told we should have measured every single part that came!!!! 3 weeks later when the shed was ruined we got the parts delivered I waited in all day for the delivery driver to put them 3 roads down on the wrong house didn't even call, they send me a photo of the house they left them at and I had to go and find it myself!! DONT USE THIS COMPANY !!!”

“Sub standard quality shed for the price I paid. Really poor fit, with gaps all over. Appalling customer service, wont acknowledge anything. The delivery was quick & foreign delivery driver was very sweet. One pane of window was broken but thankfully he had a spare which he left me, otherwise after several months I sincerely believe I’d still be trying to get them to replace it, as they won’t engage at all. I 100% urge everyone to not bother with this awful company.”

“I ordered a 10 x 8 reversed apex shed and it was delivered in an acceptable time, all ok I thought but when I came to build it there were no instructions for it, I found some online and started to build, we got no further than the floor because 2 of the panels were bigger than the other 4, they should have been 1.199m and they were 1.24m, the walls were not going to sit flush, a quick call to the customer help desk in the Philippines and I was instructed not to continue and they would let me know what to do. A couple of days later and they told me they would have to deliver me 2 new panels and collect the old ones so I dismantled the floor and waited another week for the new panels to arrive. I got my tape measure out just to double check that they had delivered the correct one only to find out these are also 1.24m, another email to the customer help desk complete with photos showing the panels with a tape measure attached to find out if I am missing something to get the standard “we will come back to you within 48 hrs”, I emailed back asking to speak with a member of staff rather than someone from the Philippines only to receive an email from Amanda who turns out to be based in the Philippines asking me to send them photos. Again I email back demanding an actual phone call, I want to talk about my shed problems with someone that can deal with it, I finally get a phone call the next day from Amanda who when asked, tells me they are based in the Philippines, we discussed the photos and the measurements and they agree they are not the correct sizes and will arrange to replace them. I have told them that this is not acceptable, I have been trying to build this shed for over 4 weeks and have now told them to come and collect it and refund me the money. They said they will come back to me next week. Having seen the panels they don’t look like the photos on the website and some had holes in them. I had wished for better results but so far a very very poor service from this company, customer service is disappointing and owners seem reluctant to try and resolve any issues themselves”

“Billyoh shed a subsidiary company, I recently constructed a large shed for customer ,I couldnt believe the poor materials sweating in plastic ,inch by inch load bearers 100s of bits shocking, I had to spend 80 pounds on slate Batton to reinforce it ,don't buy as absolutely rubbish”

“Awful business. 0 stars from me. Got a delivery after 3 weeks of waiting. Many panels and wood pieces bowed. Doors are poor fit. Windows broke entirely only 2 survived. Gaps in the wood and in the T&G panels. Biggest insult I've been told is "sorry" Never ever deal with this company. Build your own shed.”

“Absolutely, quite positively the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Not only was the delivery late, missing parts and bowed. The windows have already broken because they are 1mm thick plastic. The side of the shed is damp from poor T&G joinery. But beyond all of that, the resolution made by Garden Buildings Direct was to disassemble one side of the shed and send it back. How about a partial refund for the crappy windows? Or replacement doors? Nope. Send us back a panel so we can 'investigate further' Because the pictures I emailed aren't clear enough? The descriptions I've given aren't enough? You claim "we take complaints seriously with top priority" yet I repeat myself and am told "just send us actual photos of the issues" Sorry, did the photos I send not display the broken windows? Did they not display the holes and gaps in the panels? Did the doors not look bowed and poorly fit? Avoid.”

“If I could give 0 stars I would. The 1 star can only be applied to a good website which sucked me in to begin with. However, from then on in, I’ve nothing positive to say. I was given a delivery date, based upon which arranged time off work. The day before it was due we’d heard nothing and the website status hadn’t changed. We called the so-called customer service number and was only then told it wouldn’t be coming when expected. So we kept checking the website for updates, again, no changes and no phone calls / emails from the company. Two more calls to their overseas-based CS numbers resulted in repeated, scripted replies using the excuse of missing parts. I requested a UK contact number and was refused. Finally, TWO WEEKS later the website delivery status changed - again, no email, no call and no apology. It arrived exactly two weeks late - just as I was about to return to work - and it the flimsiest, thinnest she’s ive ever laid eyes on. The construction is poor at best - a lot of adjustment has had to be made. The instructions are gobble-de-gook, missing stages out and mixing the order of some stages up. I’ve had to buy extra wood to strengthen the roof and side panels and quite frankly, if I didn’t need something desperately to shelter garden equipment - and if I was not already two weeks behind and really stuck for time - this would have been returned for a refund. In short: not recommended at all, DO NOT RISK YOUR MONEY.”

“Have to say I would not recommend this company to anybody on this planet. My father in law bought a large shed from them and as you can see on the recipe he paid a lot so you would for that amount of money expect a high quality shed. Well to say he was robbed is an understatement it is not fit for guy Fawkes to use!!! its thin shoddy and leaks beyond belief I wrote to the company after receiving it and voiced my dissatisfaction to be told "sorry". The shed has had 4 coats of Cuprinol paint but this wood is thin enough to breath through we had to purchase more struts to try and make it more sturdy also boarding it inside but as you can see from the photos it was to little avail. The water is coming in every where so my father in law and husband now have to take all the boarding off and buy shiplapping wood and recover the whole shed. For a pensioner this is not a cheap fix so please be warned before buying any products from this company. I have copied and pasted this to my own face book page also so the story can be seen by many before the company probably take it down.”

“Avoid. Ordered a metal shed and a summer house. Delivery delayed by 2 weeks before we even started, poor updates about delivery. I was disappointed but understood. When it arrived the metal shed was damaged and the extra flooring we ordered was missing. I was advised 2-5 working days for replacement parts for the metal shed to be sent and I had to go back and forth to get them to refund the missing flooring. It was so frustrating but I understood mistakes happen. The 5 working days came and went, no update. I had to chase them every step of the way. Eventually I was told the replacement parts wasn’t in stock and wouldn’t be coming back in stock. I asked for their complaints process and ombudsman's details, this request was ignored. I had to chase up, I was then offered a 10% refund. I had to go back and forth advising this was not acceptable as the shed was useless with the warped parts we could not build it. Eventually they agreed to collect and issue a refund, this took a lot of persuasion. They eventually collected and advised a refund would be issued within 5 working days. The 5 working days came and went I had to chase this up. I asked for compensation for all the issues as I lost my deposit with the builder hired to build due to delays, etc. They advised they don’t do goodwill or compensation. It doesn’t end there! The summer house flooring was so flimsy that we’ve had to reinforce it with internal flooring, I paid extra for the flooring from Billy Oh, that was a waste on money! One of the panels was wrong one, my builder had to rectify this. Randomly we have an extra floor panel, there were no screws or nails, it’s cost us a boat load more just to get it right. My builder has advised me it is one of the worst summer house packs he’s had to work with, not good quality and he’s been doing this a long time.”

“I recently purchased a small Summerhouse . The quality of materials used for this structure were very poor . Roughly finished, some areas split and flimsy. I paid extra for a red shingle roof but they supplied black tiles . I have been unable to return these and have not received a refund . No hinges, locks or handles were sent although again charged for ! Customer service is appalling . I would NOT recommend this company at all. Very disappointed and has cost extra to rectify .”
