“Buying any kind of insurance today is a minefield. You never know whether the policies you're looking at provide the same levels of cover and exactly what is included or more importantly what is excluded. When you decide on a policy there is always a nagging doubt that somewhere in the online world there may have been a better deal. I did a lot of research before choosing Bennetts. There was a bit of a problem with the online purchasing system that seemed to be only wanting me to pay monthly and I couldn't find the option to pay one single annual amount so I rang the helpline. It was answered quite promptly by someone who shared the same first language as me (English) and was most helpful in sorting out my insurance. I am very pleased with the service and especially the price I paid for my multi-bike policy.”

“A money grabbing organisation that is more interested in taking your cash than working for its customers. I have been charged Â£30 for cancelling my policy that I was unaware that of it even being renewed one hour after having received the one and only communication from Bennetts in the post. According to the lady on the phone who was very well briefed on the policy small print I had been sent 2 reminders by post (neither received) and the one letter that I got was received 7 days after it was sent .You have my email address and I am sure that an automatic reminder could have been sent in this manner (I did get a reminder from Go compare.( Thanks Bennetts...)). I will do my best to reclaim my hard earned money from the C/C company but I do not hold out much hope.The reason I have awarded one star is because if I awarded 0 you may have thought that I had forgotten.I do hope this complaint comes to the notice of someone in authority.Max Linder”

“Personally I feel ripped off and hoodwinked by Bennetts and wouldn't reccomend them to anyone - even my worst enemy and will be writing to the ombudsman about my woeful experience.”

“Very helpful lady on the phone and dealt with my quote very wellAlthough I was provided with some misinformation I was given the information that as I passed my car license prior to 2001 that a CBT was not requiredAccording to Ace an ATB this information only applies to 50cc and that as I am operating a 124cc the information was in-correct and that a CBT is still required. I have completed this anyway but feel this information should be made aware to people when quotes are applied for.Otherwise as previously stated the lady was helpful and offered me the additional bundle which I accepted. “Bennetts did not send my renewal papers and when I rang up the "Automatic Renewal" was going to be 3 times last years premium !!!Not a very good Insurance Brokerage!They then were able to bring my insurance in line with last years premiums and with the same insurer ??? but only because I rang up!!!!!Needless to say I have already cancelled this years automatic renewal scheme.Buyers beware of this loophole that they can exploit !!!!!!!”

“Wow! The cost of my policy was increased from Â£250.54 to Â£767.57. That's three times the price. I did not receive any notification of the increase. The money was taken from my credit card and the policy automatically renewed. That's what I call great service!!!”

“I have used Bennetts on and off for years and have always had reasonable service. Today (29th Sept 2014) however I received my renewal notice for the 28th Sept 2014 i.e. yesterday!!!To say I wasn't impressed would be putting it mildly I work in the insurance industry and one of my pet peeves is late renewal letters there is generally no excuse. The young lady on the phone very 'kindly' offered me a very hollow sounding apology and explained that my renewal was sent to on the 9th Sept well all I know is that it never got to my house. When I asked why they didn't have the courtesy to get in touch sooner than a reminder dated the 24th she simply said "it's not company policy and anyway we don't have the resources" very poor form from Bennetts. There was also no explanation as to why my premium has risen by best part of Â£50.This in my opinion is very poor service and I will be looking elsewhere for my insurance.”

“This is only my second year of motorbike insurance but I have been getting car quotes for longer than I care to remember. My renewal came through and I thought it was a bit pricey so it was onto the comparison sites. Bennett's gave me the same amount of cover as my previous insurer for about Â£60 less. Quick and easy. I would recommend everyone to give them a look at renewal time.”
