Price increase due to just being a named driver on my partners motorhome ins. She didn't get an increase on her bike or car ins or even on the motorhome ins. . Bennetts knew I was a named driver so should have also known neither of us were driving. Was outside house and hit by a garden digger. Wont be using again if I can help it Very unjust and unfair

I initially insured with Bennetts last year because my existing broker couldn't provide a multi-bike policy any longer. At that time the Bennetts experience was considerably better than the other 'known suspects' in motorcycle insurance. Sadly my renewal experience has been atrocious. My (mailed) renewal quote had risen from £270 to £430, I have had no claims or changes in the year. I phoned and was told the quote was wrong and that the true figure was £470. There was no explanation or apology. I asked if I could be mailed an accurate renewal quote and was told that the Bennetts' system couldn't do this. I was however (repeatedly) asked if I wanted to be removed from automatic renewal due to happen within a week. After whinging on Twitter I was called by a more helpful person who eventually offered preferable quotes by splitting my insurance back into two policies. I phoned later to accept the first of these, my BMW, strangely the quote had reduced during the day by £60. I had been offered three quotes, the more expensive one covered panniers and non-garaged risk compared with a cheaper quote that offered no cover at all when at home or to the panniers; I took the more expensive quote and paid the initial payment by card. The following day Bennetts contacted to tell me that their system had thrown out all of my details and that I would have to re-enter into the renewal process. I was repeatedly steered towards the quote that I had rejected but eventually I was covered. I was told that I would have to wait for my card-deposit to be refunded by cheque because the Bennetts system couldn't refund back to the card. Because Bennetts are unable to take a deposit on the same card twice in a day I should have called back to insure by second (OTR) bike, I haven't as yet, life is short. I don't like speaking negatively however my email box is full of Bennetts' request for feedback. Throughout this process I have spoken with individuals who ranged from rude and surly to utterly professional and helpful. However I have been left with little faith in either the Bennetts system or the underlying insurance underwriting business. It is worth mentioning that prior to this my partner has had a similar experience with other motorcycle insurance specialists. I received my initial deposit refund yesterday around three weeks after I made the payment, I will have to go into my bank to pay this cheque in next week.

All good apart from a dreadful flaw when you choose to continue your insurance it is in my case 90%"more than if you redo it on line this is sharp practice

I let my policy lapse due to a ridiculous hike in renewal price. Then I renewed with them again via a comparison site at a cheaper price. What's all that about? Then they wanted to charge me nearly £150 because I hadn't provided proof of no claims from when I was insured through ..... them!

I was very happy with Bennett’s right up to the point I had to inform them of a fpn. The polite man on the phone said “I’m pleased to tell you that it hasn’t affected your policy, now how would you like to pay the £30 admin charge....” It’s small wonder people don’t inform their insurance companies of any changes.. So be warned.. £30 for a 3 minute call, that’s £600 per hour... Wish I could do that!

Auto-renewal price seemed rather high so cancelled auto-renew. Subsequently set up new policy with Bennetts with same spec at £100GBP cheaper. So much for rewarding customer loyalty!?!

I wanted to change the bike on my insurance only to be told that I couldn’t get a quote from my current insurer or from a new quote other the phone so I had to go online get a new insurance to them phone up again to cancel my old insurance. The quote I got on Sunday 29th April was just under £470 but when I sorted everything out on Wednesday 2nd may the price had increased to over £600.

Rang with no claims bonus and noticed I had a £25 discount on new policy, I was never offered it when my previous details where looked at when I took out new policy ,with in a month of the offer ending

I was using Bennetts for the past 3 years, and I believed it was the best rider insurance, but this year i will not continue with them. After buying insurance policy they came back to me with the letter saying i didn't tell them true whilst making a quote and policy will be cancelled. Even-though I disagreed with this I was willing to resolve the problem and continue with the policy, but I was deeply disappointed. No one had interest in resolving it and i didn't receive any help or customer service you would expect. I ended up with cancelled policy (what will go in to my record and my next insurance premium will be higher). Overall it turned out they are just a big brand, fake image and no quality to be found what comes to customer care. Im glad I found out this sooner than later and I'm glad i don't have to experience what would it be if you would have an accident and you would need to deal with that sort of customer service.

I phoned you to cancel the legal expenses add on and the day after I found out that my bike had 2 alarm system's I phoned you to tell you and I got a lecture it could cost me £32 and if I phone again to alter anything it will cost me£32 I was going to get a private plate but you put me off of that if all your additional charges, and each time I change my bike I always seem to have to change insurance companies, one thing I do know is that I won't be renewing with you next year

My insurance was cancelled as my payment card had changed on renewal only found out when I called up to see what the renewal price was as I hadent heard from Bennett But to be fair got a better price than expected. 4 days later received a letter saying it had been cancelled due to a payment problem. But I had already received my new policy by then . I thought I would of got renewal advice via email of through post.

The system didn't allow me to add the £40 benefit package on when I bought my insurance, the layout of the pages wasn't easily navigable. I called up the next day to add the benefits and the person I spoke to was awful, not aware of how their system works, didn't tell me she was having computer system problems, was just silent, asked me questions that weren't relevant to my query, almost as if she was on her first call in the job, and couldn't understand my very basic address, saying it was a bad line. I'd say she didn't have a grasp of what customer service is about, i.e keeping the customer informed that there are problems with the system, not leaving long silences where I had to see if she was still there... I tried to go back into my account to add the package, but there was a "technical" error that it meant I couldn't get anywhere. I'm loathe to ring again!

When it came to renewing my insurance you put the police up by about 25 pounds.so I went online and got a better deal with your self,with comparison sites,you would think you would try and get me the best deal possible to stay as a loyal customer,but no you did not
