I bought a Yamaha Tricity which is a 125cc three-wheeled scooter (Two wheels at the front) The first person I spoke to insisted I needed a car licence to ride this scooter, the dialogue with this clown went on for ages and, despite me quoting from Bennett's own terms and conditions and him going away and checking and coming back, he still insisted I needed a car licence. This went on for so long the power ran out on my cordless phone and cut me off. I rang back and spoke to someone else, when I explained what I wanted to insure and also pointed out Bennett's terms and conditions we got the insurance sorted out in about ten minutes, but if not for the battery running out on my phone I would have gone somewhere else. Not impressed.

Once my end of year policy expires I will be going to a different provider, Bennetts have a very poor customer relation

Hi, simply don't use their service. They are broker, working with third parties to get the job done. The third party's service is horrible, very slow and especially 4th dimension(the company Bennets use to repair your bike) people and service is really bad. I choose Bennests because I thought they are the best, but they are not. I could have my insurance for half price but I thought it is worth to pay almost double price for the best service but they are really bad. In the end I get my bike repaired myself rather than waiting for months sitting in their garage (it was just a damage in the silencer and shock absorbers due to a slow hit from back). Without a bike I cannot go to work, they seem not to understand it. I'm only waiting for the end of the policy, will definitely look for someone else.

Almost impossible to get your renewals as they don't have an on line faculty for this they don't answer emails or on line requests for contact and their phone lines are always busy.Apart from that use their on line quote facility to renew - its cheaper and quicker than trying to get through to them the normal way

When you ring up you get passed to and from different departments, put on hold & messed about for ages until you finally get to speak to someone decent an hour later. By then you have been charged an arm and a leg for the call. Quotes are very expensive. Better to go elsewhere

We were about to renew our bike insurance with you but on receiving the reminder letter were shocked to see that it had gone up by nearly £20.00.Considering in fifty years of riding I have never had an accident a conviction or made a claim I was very perplexed and annoyed.I would like to know why road users are penalized instead of rewarded for their use of the roads without any mishap. year after year.It used to be the case that road insurance went down. Instead we found our had risen yet again. So we spent precious money on phone calls to try and find out why - and finally after much querying and protest the renewal fee was decreased to £91.Your customer Service team were helpful friendly polite and obliging. But in the end we must have spent half of this saving on the calls to Bennetts. If it hadn't been for some busy domestic problems I would have compared the market and chosen to go elsewhere. But this year it is more convenient to stay with you. However if this rise happens again next year I will readily move to another company who offers a more competitive rate.It is good to have the opportunity to give this review and I hope you will take note. I'm sure I'm not the only motorcyclist who feels this way.regardsPhil ChaplinPhil Chaplin

Policy is fine but had issue with your 'service'...I had a simple request regarding changing my payment card details rebuffed 2 weeks prior to my renewal for a 'computer says no' type excuse and was told to call back a couple of days before which in itself I thought was poorly communicated...However when I did this - I was then told that the payment had already been applied for and nothing could be done. I have an ongoing dispute with the card provider and purposely didnt want any transactions being processed through this account - but my position has now been compromised on this due to your 'service' departments lack of empathy to my situation..Not happy !!

Quote was fine service when "eventually connected" was fine too - But - it took THREE DAYS ( 3 1hour+ attempts) get someone to talk to me for an issue which involved money being automaticaly being taken from my account. Bennets could do something to help unemployment figures by employing a lot more staff !! Managed to get through to 'new buisness' numbers without any problems every day.Not good enough.

I received a letter advising I did not renew my insurance policy I understood it was a tacit renewal.Anyway not having any insurance cover for a few days I contacted your company and renewed over the phone. It was not a good experience your staff member was very good though and I have no issue that he had to do what he is instructed to do.In short I was not sure if the call I made on your number is charged to me at a premium rate however the process of getting to someone who could help then listen to the details of the policy being read out was very very time consuming and possibly costly. My question is how can someone take in all that information etc you present over the phone and remember it in detail?Surely by sending a electronic or hard copy policy document key facts ASAP is more appropriate so us the customer can read it properly and make a considered decision?Your employee kept stating it is a legal requirement to do so is it so?I also misread a number on my speeding fine in 2013 as the number was in the fold of the paper document it should be SP50 not SP30I tried to email this fact but was advised by return email to call again so I have to repeat the whole process again?

Odd. A bad experience trying to swap bikes on cover due to a claim the original insurance company refused to cover me. The bennets advisor found me a new deal with a different insurance company at a reasonable but more expensive price and cancelled my original policy. It then transtpired he made an error with the quote and then the price doubled. This was now unacceptable but my original policy was now cancelled. I had two bikes on this policy and now have two bikes with no insurance i could have just cancelled one if I had known. The supervisor fobbed me off and I need insurance quickly. So try out the comparison websites. The best one was bennets at the same price as the original price.I lost out on six months premium through this.Check this out it's true.

I was very disappointed that while attempting to apply for insurance online I was unable to find my occupation from the list that you offered. I chose one in order to complete the form. The following day I then telephoned you (at a premium rate) and was left hanging on for what I considered was way too long. But then wheres the rush to answer a phone when a customer is paying while waiting to speak to someone. When I finally spoke to an operator and explained that my occupation was not listed she suggested an alternative. I then asked her to send me an email outlining the conversation we had just had. Should there be a question about it in the future. I was told that she could not do this. I then asked if my confirmation on my no claims entitlement had been received I was told that it took several days. I asked if I would be getting an email confirming my entitlement and was told that I would have to GUESS WHAT? That's right I would once again have to ring in to find out. Yet another call at premium rate at my expense. When looking to renew my policy this year I thought long and hard on who to go with. I had cheaper quotations than the one I had from you but chose you as I wanted to go with a name that I was familiar with. II am beginning to regret this decision.

Received my renewal from Bennetts. £50 voluntary excess mysteriously appeared this year. Took several days of attempted calls to finally get through to an operator to have the voluntary excess removed and check policy details. Otherwise no problems.

I was very disappointed to note that upon renewal for my bike where I had no claims that the cost had risen by a huge percentage. Once again a trawl through a comparison site showed many competitors able to beat the bennetts renewal quote. It was only after phoning to cancel that I received a return call advising the renewal could be lowered to almost match the other prices. Normally I would have said thanks but too late but they caught me while I was in bed and half asleep. This practice of auto-renewal at inflated prices in the hope people forget disgusts me. I hope the following renewal is a better offer. As a result of this my main bike is not with bennetts and neither are those of my kids. We will just keep churning each year.

One won't really know until too late and claim time but.......on the basis that I've just renewed (automatically.....don't do it!) I'm not a happy customer and wont be renewing next year. The premium went up £13 pa purely on the basis that my first year had a "new business discount"....so basically we still don't care to keep or look after current customers?

Not great. E-mailed my No Claims information as requested and received a auto reply. So that was easy. Then I received at least two letters over eight working days after the e-mail stating that they had still not received my details and that I would be charged an admin fee & an extra £200!! I telephoned them and got it cleared up but I think this is very poor. How would they handle any paperwork if I needed to make a claim??

I was disappointed in the roadside assist more than 10 miles from home you have to pay £42 to get home who stays that close to home! The temporary 1 month cover while your No Claims discount was verified was not explained clearly and it's time all insurance companies talked to each other on this subject easy to do and it'll save you on admin. On a positive the guy from customer services did as he said he would and rang back to confirm my no claims bonus a rare thing these days!

1; your compare the market Web page wouldn't let me complete my purchase of insurance so then I had to phone you and go through it all again.. Is this to cut out the middle man? Plus now I have lost out on my free cinema tickets !2;when buying my insurance over the phone Scott told me that all insurance companies were linked by computer and everyone has everybodys details and my proof of no claims would be automatically gathered by you.Why is it then the first thing you ask for on receipt of my insurance is past proof of no claims bloody annoying! Now I have to mess around contacting my old insurance company. You really need to sort this out and not promise something you can't deliver !Looking forward to hearing from you. K England
