Plus points - Good experience on phone setting up the policy great advice from three different calls to the call center going through the legal stuff was a bit tedious though overall well pleasedVery bad - took several days and numerous e-mails to get European contact numbers for Bennetts & RAC in case they were needed while in Europe!!! You can't call 0800 or 084x numbers from outside UK!!Other insurers like Direct Line MCE Carol Nash etc. have this information readily available as a one pager that is sent with the within the policy certificate & schedule documentation that you would take with you to Europe!! Would have been 4 maybe 5 stars if it were not for this!

We organised insurance online. Nice and easy fill in all the details relax and it's all done. We go on holiday for a short break to return to a letter from Bennetts. Dated 20th Feb it says that proof of no claims had not been sent and my policy is being cancelled. Not a nice letter requesting I contact them to remedy this but a final blunt 'your policy is cancelled'. I was not asked to send proof. This letter said I had until 12:01 on the 2nd of March to do so. We phoned as soon as possible sort it out. The lady on the phone was helpful and understanding however we ended up changing to a different policy still with Bennetts. We then received another letter dated 24th Feb bluntly telling me my policy is no longer in force and I must return the certificate of motor insurance. As this was done online we never received a certificate so cannot return one. Your letters need to be more customer friendly in their wording.

Good on price etc . Insurance on continual payment had to ring bennetts motor bike not showing on ask mid dater base ? They say it takes 3 to 5 days to update the mid dater base so bike shows up on two day in bke shows up as not being insured etc very poor if you ask me could be a headache with all the anpr camera these all over the show even though I no I have insurance come on bennetts ti takes 30 seconds to type in a reg and add ti to the mid etc

Not very happy the reminder for my renewal arrived after they had auto renewed leaving me know chance to find a cheaper quote

I have used Bennetts on and off for years and have always had reasonable service. Today (29th Sept 2014) however I received my renewal notice for the 28th Sept 2014 i.e. yesterday!!!To say I wasn't impressed would be putting it mildly I work in the insurance industry and one of my pet peeves is late renewal letters there is generally no excuse. The young lady on the phone very 'kindly' offered me a very hollow sounding apology and explained that my renewal was sent to on the 9th Sept well all I know is that it never got to my house. When I asked why they didn't have the courtesy to get in touch sooner than a reminder dated the 24th she simply said "it's not company policy and anyway we don't have the resources" very poor form from Bennetts. There was also no explanation as to why my premium has risen by best part of £50.This in my opinion is very poor service and I will be looking elsewhere for my insurance.

I bought a Yamaha Tricity which is a 125cc three-wheeled scooter (Two wheels at the front) The first person I spoke to insisted I needed a car licence to ride this scooter, the dialogue with this clown went on for ages and, despite me quoting from Bennett's own terms and conditions and him going away and checking and coming back, he still insisted I needed a car licence. This went on for so long the power ran out on my cordless phone and cut me off. I rang back and spoke to someone else, when I explained what I wanted to insure and also pointed out Bennett's terms and conditions we got the insurance sorted out in about ten minutes, but if not for the battery running out on my phone I would have gone somewhere else. Not impressed.

Once my end of year policy expires I will be going to a different provider, Bennetts have a very poor customer relation

Hi, simply don't use their service. They are broker, working with third parties to get the job done. The third party's service is horrible, very slow and especially 4th dimension(the company Bennets use to repair your bike) people and service is really bad. I choose Bennests because I thought they are the best, but they are not. I could have my insurance for half price but I thought it is worth to pay almost double price for the best service but they are really bad. In the end I get my bike repaired myself rather than waiting for months sitting in their garage (it was just a damage in the silencer and shock absorbers due to a slow hit from back). Without a bike I cannot go to work, they seem not to understand it. I'm only waiting for the end of the policy, will definitely look for someone else.

When you ring up you get passed to and from different departments, put on hold & messed about for ages until you finally get to speak to someone decent an hour later. By then you have been charged an arm and a leg for the call. Quotes are very expensive. Better to go elsewhere
