No other company ive used does this You pay for Insurance with them and about a week later they message you wanting copies of your driving Licence ,,your log book and then to top it off permission to view your driver records from the DVLA or they will cancel your insurance wich gives you a bad mark and then to top it off they charge 40-50 quid admin fee for doing it avoid this lot like the plague

Tried charging £120 for a change of address on an £80 policy so I cancelled, 2 weeks later they were chasing me for £148 for cancellation Avoid these scammers

Bennett insurance is absolutely it's absolutely diabolical I wouldn't touch him with a badge Pole next time I do my insurance because they hand their insurance when you have an accident to a 3rd party a 3rd party which is bikersist legal do not touch him with a badge Pole I swear to God they are absolutely diabolical and s*** don't touch him pay the extra money and go with a better firm

It's easier to get hold of your Doctors nowadays than it is Bennetts, 2 days waiting for a call back ? After being a customer for years its Devitt or Carol Nash from now on

Terrible was left on hold for two hours to be told I’ve come through to the wrong department then put on hold again for two and a half hours when I eventually got to speak to someone I was told they wouldn’t insure my bike even though I’d been a customer the year before not made a claim and received a renewal quote brilliant

Mickey Mouse wears a Bennetts watch! Lol. Tried for an hour to get through on the phone, eventually gave up as I had more important things to do. Tried again several hours later, got to speak to someone after an hour and nine minutes. Wanted to change the bike on my policy but by this point had lost the will to live so took out a new policy with one of the bigger companies. I will never use Bennetts again and would advise anyone to do the same.

BEWARE paid £159 for a year to keep my bike insured before I sold it. 6 weeks later sold bike and got £20 back. RIP off. Don't mind an admin. fee but this is daylight robbery. Won't be using them again nor will my motorcycle mates.

A £50 fee to cancel my policy today is excessive. This was on top of a £32 admin fee to change the registration number last year. These admin charges are far to heavy, Bennetts should hang their heads in shame, especially with the current financial situation that that many find themselves in. Yes, I know it's in the small print, blah, blah, blah! Shocking care of your customers, despicable.

Bad customer service, policy was increased, after letters saying my policy would be cancelled if I could not prove no claims from previous insurer, which I could not as they went bust and I had no correspondence!! Would never use Bennets again.

I allowed them to auto renew my policy.... £20 they charge for this! They also jacked up my premium by about 30%, even though I had an extra year's NCB. So even with the extra year's NCB my premium this year has gone up 47% Shocking! To cancel now is £50 on top of what I've already paid. Disgusting company with disgusting ethics.

Just charged me £50 to cancel my insurance with them. No refund on policy which has 7 months left! Essentially it is as expensive to not be insured with them as it is to be insured with them. Thieves!! It’s ok though. It was in my “Terms and Conditions.”

absolutely criminal, you can insure any plate regardless of if the Reg plate is even in existence. returned to them after using another company they used original plates of the bike from old account detail ( I know I should have noticed but you'd think they have some sort of data or link to DVLA to make sure the bike actually even exists. Don't be fooled by the big Brand name it seems that it is all a front. So in theory you could ensure any plate as they cant check and will not know if a real bike or not, you can then get plates made up and put on said bike so if pulled looks legal even if bike is cloned or stolen. Also they will ask you very personal questions about you income and monthly out goings they ask intrusive which is weird as they don't seem to care if the bike is real or not but want to know everything about your personal income which seems very weird and worrying for data protection.

I did take out insurance with Bennett’s, but you cancelled it due to NCD for the bike I was insuring, I thought it was for the Rider, who by the way had over 15 years incident free.... However, Bennett’s will never again get my business, 2 Bikes with another insurer, who by the way, likes bikers who have no claims bonus! Thanks for the opportunity to put my views across! Ian B.

Hi Ian when taking out the policy we do ask what no claims bonus is free to use. As it is being used elsewhere we wouldn't be able to accept it as it is giving the discount twice.

Hi Scott, We do post the renewal quote 21 days prior to renewal. If you have sold the bike or insured elsewhere please provide proof of this and the charge will be reviewed. Thanks, Bennetts

My problem is with Bennett's auto-renewal policy. I see no benefit to the customer at all; it is clearly only in the company's interest. It is insidious.

They screwed up and left me riding an uninsured bike, which I though was insured. Then to add insult to injury I had to pay £80 to correct their mistake. They would not let me talk to a supervisor or manager. Next year all 3 of my bikes will be insured with someone else.
