Received my renewal quote. Checked on a well-known comparison website and found Bennetts gave me the best offer ... but FAR LESS THAN MY RENEWAL QUOTE. So I was able to buy cheaper as a new customer than as an existing one. What a farce. Then when I clicked through from the site to Bennets website it let me go through the whole palaver of filling in the form but then when I tried to checkout it kept repeatedly defaulting to monthly payments when I wanted to pay in one lump sum. Nightmare! So I had to call and waste more time going through what I had already done online. Get your act together eh?

have just renewed a bike27/06/15 I had a lapse of not using my bike due to illness and had not any insurance from jan 15 but the bike was not insured at all i had a letter from dvla stating that it was not on their data base so i cancelled the insurance they said they did not insure scooters not my fault but because of the lapse i have been informed by bennette that my no claims start back to zero I haven't any paper to proove that i had 11 years no claims but bennetts would know i had this has cost me another £65 not happy at all.

Very disappointed this time aroundCannot understand why it was not possible to remove one bike from my policy and add another To be told the criteria was that I hadn't owned the new bike long enough seemed laughableThe charge of £20 admin for removing one bike was also cancelled after me complaining So new policy taken out on my new bike cannot have any no claims attached I know the difference in the premium was only minimal but what choice did I have

What a great start the insurance company change me twice now i have to spend money on phone calls to my bank to prove that they charge me twice of the money and again call them back to try to get my money back and by saying spend money in phone calls because I work and have to make phone calls from my mobile phone not happy at all

Took my money and received a note a few months later that I am not covered by their insurance as I did not provide Compulsory Training documents in time. Have not yet received the Money I paid in full for full year cover more than six months later. Calls I dropped each time I call.

Received my documents this morning having renewed the policy automatically with the new policy starting yesterday. As advised I checked the statement of facts and saw that I was still shown to be in full time work. I retired in May. I duly phoned Bennetts to inform them of this and it was updated. For this update I was charged 32 quid for administration. I think that is outrageous and I'm livid. When the policy expires next year I will not renew with Bennetts and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I phoned up to ask about adding a new bike to an existing policy and was told it would cost £170 odd. I phoned up to add it and was told I needed to talk to renewals and put on hold. I went online and found I could get a separate policy for £80 or so - quite a difference. I now have 3 separate policies for 5 bikes but no-one seems to want to talk to me about consolidating these into a single policy.

Bad attention to detail only gave a months insurance when paid for a year v difficult to contact on the phone !!!!

Initially appears as reasonable value but when you ring to correct errors in the policy wording all you get is failed promises and out right story telling. It's a bit of a lottery getting to speak to someone who knows what they are talking about and not just there to sell you extras. Now into 3rd week of waiting on refund that has been promised 4 times so far. I really would advise avoiding unless you just want a bit of paper... I dread to think of how they operate if a claim was to be made.

Vey very very poor customer service. Rude arrogant and scammers. Tried increasing my premium saying they did not receive my no claims bonus which was sent 6 times. People on telephone very rude. Stay away.

I been with bennetts for the last 3 or 4 years I recently sold my bike a month before my insurance with bennetts ran out so I thought to let the insurance run out instead of cancelling. So 2 weeks before it ran out I get the renewal through the post I immediately send back to say I don't require a renewal as I sold the bike. Then The cheeky ##### sent me a bill for £30 for the cancellation of the renewal. 1. I did not want the renewal in the 1st place2. Why are bennetts sending me a bill for £30 cancelation charge 3. Now they want proof that I sold the bikeI have never had this problem with any other insurance company when it came to cancelling renewalsYou are a disgrace Bennetts I will never use you again or recommend you to anyoneI very much doubt it you be putting this review on your sites

Only wanted to change my address and change my bike and told I couldn't and had to cancel and get anew policy cost me £320 and another years no clams not happy and more proof that insurance company's are money grabbing pricks wouldn't recommend to anyone shafted again!!!

My experience with Bennett is 2 sided on one hand they provides mutch needed service with the two operators that I dealt with being extremely helpfull on the other hand the proceeded to take money from my account without my prior knowledge or permission iwould not have been aware of this had I not telephoned 24hrs before my insurance was to expire to say I would not be renewing with them and was to move on to a new insurance provider the first operator was able to provide me with areas able quote and I agreed to re insure with Bennetts with the assurance that the extra monies that had been taken would then be put back on my card ASAP after speaking to a second operator he then told me that they would not be able to return the money to my card until I had returned the original documents which I have not received what astir position to b in to claim money back which should never been taken

Buyer beware!Arising from a phone conversation for cheapest quote I signed up for a fully comp policyno documents arrived and following a chase up phone call found Bennetts had set up a 3rd party f&f policy policy for me which I never requested or wanted.I took two weeks for the documents to arrive after chasing them up.coincides with the two week cooling off / change of mind period to cancel deal.Not very professional at all.Wont be using Bennets again!

HiI am not very happy.The reason for this is that I have sent to you via postfax and email a copy of my NCB proof from my previous insurer.This clearly states on the page that I sent you its a renewal notice from Zenith insurance company and the 9 yrs NCB.Apparently this is not enough to satisfy your requirements.I have now photocopied all the information that was sent to me in my renewal notice from my previous ins brokers - this was about 20 pagesincluding the 1 that shows the NCB proof.I have as yet heard nothing back as to whether this has been received or is acceptable.I still don't know if my insurance is validI have nothing else to send to you.myyour premium was taken immediately from my account howeveI would be a little happier if you could advise me as to wether I have valid insurance or not - in your viewe at least

I cannot ride my bike. It's not taxed. I cannot tax it because I do not have an insurance certificate. (I live on the Isle of Man). I didn't get one last year but the tax had already been paid. 7 phone calls 1 cancelled policy and 1 new policy and the same problem. TT is just around the corner and I am starting to lose my patience. The people on the phone are nice and seem knowledgable enough but obviously not quite enough. The automated answer is very annoying after 7 calls.

took out bennets insurance along with my brother 2 days before going abroad to France.Unfortunately my brother was involved in an accident 2 days into the holidayand ended up in hospital with serious leg injuries. At this point we discovered that Bennets were not the biker friendly company that they like to portray.Getting things sorted was an absolute NIGHTMARE even with the help of the proprioters of the b+b who have been bikers for many yearsspoke fluent French and the wife actualy worked for an insurance company in France.Many hours were spent on phone calls being passed from department to department having to retell over and over the same details to different people.Eventualy we were told that my brother was not covered for personal medical expenses outside the U.K.Not once during these hours of telling and re-telling did anyone enquire"HOW IS HE" My brother is suffering enough trauma and i have had to return to the UK Fortunately we have since discovered that his home insurance included travel insurance so repatriation is hopefuly a reality.As for his bike it is in the b+b`s garage whilst we await an outcome I am tempted to hire a van and just go and collect it.Whilst my brother is still in hospital i don`t want to bother him with it but BENNETS you need to take a long look at the way you conduct yourselves it`s a disgrace.I belong to a few biker organisations and subscribe to magazines frequently .You will not be getting any recommendations from meSorry if this is not the review you expected and i doubt you will be using it for advertisingyours D.Culleton

Although pleased with agent that dealt with my renewal and satisfied with renewal premium I was dissapointed with having to complain about increase in renewal premium which hadnt had my no claims bonus taken into account. Also i still have not received my new policy documents and this also happened last year. Not happy.

Great cover but the renewal process was dreadful. Took 4 phone calls in the end put on hold each time for 20 mins before I hung up final on 4th attempt I was through after only 10 mins.Not good enough I'm afraid next time I will certainly shop around to avoid the delay.

I asked for quotes for a multi bike policy by the on-line route and by telephone all in the space of a couple of hours. I ended up with three prices varying from £322.00 to £370 for the same input parameters. How bizarre is that!!!!!!!!!!!!The excuse was that because the database brought my bike up as a BMW R1200GS Adventure not the basic and cheaper R1200GS which I own the risk was greater for the cheaper bike. I think not!It seems all motorcycle brokers make the prices up totally at random and you end up paying the highest price.
