I have had various policies with Bennetts and still insure my rsv4 but recently insured my old 350lc but decided to sell the bike, went to cancel policy and ended up paying near the full amount in charges after only a few weeks of having the policy, I was shocked by the that's the way it is attitude from the adviser I will certainly be looking elsewhere in future for insurance on my motorcycles

By ensuring my touring motor cycle for a very reasonable premium on my return to motor cycling after many years away. My happiness died away because a later error on part of Bennett's has left me out of pocket. I put a cherished number onto my motor cycle and when I rang up to make the change I was charged an admin fee there and then. I did not object to this but the a telephone call told me that the sum had been added to my premium paid by direct debit. As yet - in spite of the promises made that I would be reimbursed in about 7 working days I am still waiting three weeks later.

They wanted an extra #100 for moving house and another 100 for getting commut on the bike.

i was asked to provide proof of no cliams bonus , i have been riding motorcycles for 30 years , never before since electronic searches etc etc have been carried out have i been asked for this information . nowadays no one posts out policy docs it is all emailed , there fore no paper records . my previous bike insurance had not sent a renewal and i binned the old policy docs as they had expired and i had taken out new insurance with bennets . a week after the policy started i was asked via a very curt letter to provide proof of ncb . to which i made a phone call which was eventually answered , i explianed the situation to to call recipient , i was advised to either provide the required information or my policy will be terminated , to which it has as per the letter that arrived today . i have been in contact with my old insurer and they eventually agreed to e mail me proof of ncb of which i have still not recieved . so the situation is stale mate . iam disgusted with bennets attitude in this instance as it would be so easy for them to obtain the information themselves as they have done in the past as other insurers have done on mumerous occasions . bennetts will no longer get any business from me in future neither will saga as both companys are conected , i run 4 vehicles plus 1 motorcycle in my family group 3 of which are insured with the saga group .

Rip off. Paid insurance in full. Then demanded another payment of£83.66. Cancelled policy Do not touch them!

No customer service skills on phone. Poor letter writing (does a human do this?). Cannot investigate properly.

Incredibly frustrating dealing with Bennetts. From the being put on hold for 15 minutes both times I called to arrange a bike renewal to the seemingly haphazard way the premiums are calculated, I would think twice before using again.

Despite multiple proofs sent, nothing seems to be enough to satisfy you that a fault claim you discovered was merely opened for information purposes and instead you continue to demand an extra premium of £40 for no purpose whatsoever.

Been with Bennet for 8 years with a 4 bike policy sold my bikes a few months ago and Bennet sent me a voucher saying I would get. 25 quid off if I came back to them within a year which I did but they wouldn't give me the 25 quid off very poor customer service as usual

They misspelled my name and when I called to get it spelled right I got charged 6 pounds for "change of details". They got it wrong even though the information from the quotation was right, and I have spelled my name correctly for 35 years so no my fault.

They sent me a nasty letter doubling my yearly premium plus charges on top for changing policy and were also going to steal the money from my debit card with no authorisation all because they were too stupid to check their own records. I will never use these "people" again and will tell everyone I know not to trust them

I have renewed my motorbike insurance with you people march this year I have phoned on three occasions for my insurance certificate and I still have not received it through the post its now coming up to the end of April.

Unfortunately I had to cancel my insurance because I didn't keep the bike I bought. I only had the policy for three weeks at a charge of £66:00 but was charged £50 to cancel the policy what a ripoff!!!

After having a multi bike policy for 16 months I bought a new SWM 300 enduro style bike to replace the ageing DRZ enduro style bike only to be told that they won't insure the new bike, no reason given ? so I've wasted 8 months insurance for what ? the new bike is even a lower cc . NOT IMPRESSED

I had a bad experience with BennettS got a quote paid, approx a month later they would not accept my no claims. sent them emails with 9 years NCD on my prev insurance docs and a letter from prevs insurance but they still refused evidence. They now wanting £149.61 extra I asked them to cancel my cover and not take out any money they said I could not cancel cover by email and took money out of my account with out my permission. I got money back through the bank. I sent a letter cancelling cover thinking it was done and over. Nearly three months later get a phone call to say I now owe £15.37 but for what? I refused to pay and also asked why had I a letter off dvla saying bike had no cover, Bennetts continued to pursue me with letters and calls I gave in and paid! so for one months cover I paid £84.66 plus 15.37 cancellation fee? and DVLA SAID BIKE HAD NO INSURANCE COVER. WHAT I THINK OF BENNETTS IS UNPRINTABLE.

Received very poor service when I asked for information about the RAC cover I had paid for through Bennetts. Basically I was told to go away and call the RAC for information even though Bennetts had not given me any details of the RAC cover. The total dimwit Bennetts employed in the call centre couldn't get it into his thick head that without any details the RAC would not be able to help me. Furthermore the telephone number the dimwit gave me for the RAC was the breakdown number which guess what went through to music. I gave up after holding for 15 minutes. I then emailed Vince Chaney Bennetts CEO who's signature is at the bottom of the welcome email the send out. He did actually reply at weekend and promised someone would investigate. Unfortunately no one at Bennetts really seems to take any notice of their CEO as two months later I'm still waiting for a response. All my other bikes are covered with Carole Nash who's service is in my experience 100 times better. So I expect I'll be going back to Carole Nash when renewal time comes.
