I needed to cancel policy as sold my car...i was charged £84.00 plus the said I had to let the direct debit of £29 come out the next day as planned. No decent explanation, extortionate fees, would have coat only £3 more to let policy run to the end. I never made a claim, but wouldn't recommend based on ridiculous costs to cancel, which are only revealed in the documentation once you have bought the policy!!!

I took out insurance with Budget on my car 2 days before Valentine's Day and paid the first payment as I pay monthly. The cover was due to start on 24th Feb. I had a massive surprise on Valentine's Day when my fiancé told me he'd bought me a new car! I had absolutely no idea he was going to do this. When I searched for quotes on my new car, I found that Diamond was the best deal and went with them. When I phoned Budget to cancel my policy that hadn't yet started I was told that on top of the £16 I had already paid, I needed to pay £22 to pay the cancellation fee. I said but the policy hasn't started yet?! She said that it was admin fees. After arguing over it and not getting anywhere, I reluctantly agreed to pay it. Absolutely disgusting!

I cannot open my insurance doc. as their site does not recognise my username or password. Emailed twice with no reply. I therefore cannot check if the document is correct. Noticed you cannot make a complaint by email. How rubbish is that?!

I have been trying to cancel my home insurance for over 1 week. I did get through to someone last week who just was not listening to me and I did not manage to cancel my policy. I have tried several time a day to get through again and I can not get an answer. I want to cancel as the monthly cost has doubled after the auto renewal. I just find this company too much hastle to deal with.

Cancelled my car insurance policy due to purchasing a new car and getting a year free insurance with it. Was told I owed £54, this came out of my account and then a few days later I received a threatening email and phone call saying I now owed £75!!! Horrible company that will not be getting any more money from me. I will not recommend them to anyone.

They told me I'd have to pay extra because of no proof of the stated amount of ncd even though I emailed copies of all my renewal details going back over ten years. All for an Extra £20 on my premium they won't get my businessever again thecall centre/ customer service staff were rude and dismissive. Never again.

Been with the company for a quite a few years and have always found them really helpful, unfortunately we have found that customers service is becoming laxed and our last quote from them was over £800 for fire and theft cover, when I changed my vehicle. They didn't seem bothered to lose our custom. Clearly, our money is not good enough.

A man went head first into the back of my stationary car completing smashing the rear view window and denting the rear of my car. The police arrived. The police were amazing and phoned the insurance for me I would never been able to cope. The insurers were not Budjet but a cover for coop and all calls had to be made over and over again by both budget and coop it was a complete and utter nightmare at a time that was not needed. The police were patient and wonderful. I think we were on the phone for about Two hours. Never again !

Despite being an existing customer, when I came to renew the quote for buildings and contents insurance was £28.43 per month, however, a further quote dated THRE DAYS LATER showed that the new premium would be £41.12 per month, an annual increase of £135.59 or a whopping 68%!!! Very unfair and extremely misleading practice.!! As a 74 year old living on a state pension , I cannot afford the cancellation fee Be aware!!

i have been driving for 30 years with full no claims bonus and clean driving licence but when i went to change my policy over to a new car they told me i couldnt do that. they said i would have to cancell my policy at a cost of £75 and take out a new policy to which they quoted an extraordinary price to which i have never heard before in my life needless to say i cancelled at an exspense of £75 to myself and went elsewhere so no i definately would not recommend budget insurance company to anyone.

People beware, if you pay the first 2 instalments by card authorisation, if you want a direct debit set up make sure you ask for one. My card expired during my insurance period. I thought the payments would just keep coming off. A card authorisation is not the same as a direct debit. I was charged the princely sum of 25 quid for the letter they sent me saying the bank would not authorise the payment as the long number on my card had changed. I will definately be more aware of the process.
