Unfortunately the payment card I had stored with Budget had expired without me realising it. When annual renewal came the following year, payment was rejected & Budget charged me £20 when I re-entered my new card the same day. There is no justification for charging such a high fee, & not giving a reasonable opportunity to provide a new payment method. I will not be using this company again.

Terrible insurance company. Awful “customer service” lacking basic knowledge, long hold times to query information and rude staff. Extra and hidden charges. Too late to change but will never use again!

Your operative made a mistake when she took down the registration of the vehicle which ran into the back of my car on 17 July. I haven’t had any correspondence from Budget or a return call, or what was Liverpool and Victoria, the underwriter to date. I have called both many time to try to resolve this mistake. And my 12 year old Corsa wasn’t worth the cost of £4,300 to repair the bodywork. Still waiting for an update!

I tried to rectify a mistake I made and was all sorted on my first call so I thought. Numerous calls, emails and now a complaint letter to Budget. Loads of calls hours a different customer service agents and still a mess..

Made a request for proof of no claims bonus. Budget required me to send proof of previous no claims bonus with another insurance company - which I did. Budget then sent me their maximum "Company" proof of no claims bonus - which is 9 years. My request was for the full 14 years of no claims bonus - which I currently have on my vehicle. Budget it appears will not honour my request. Basically robbing me of 5 years no claims bonus.

Tried to cancel my policy after one month as I change my car for a van . Was told £60 cancellations fee plus days used £172 . An absolute joke not recommended at all

I tried cancelling my policy after a couple of months and would have had to pay almost a full year in 1 go rather than monthly so had to keep the policy though the car was scrapped. I cancelled at the end and still get asked for bank details to make payments. I have left, it was difficult to do so and I won't be back

Appalling customer service. Lack of communication between employees so that each person I spoke to had no previous knowledge of the issue and had no way of accessing the previous communication. Instead of trying to resolve the issue I was told that a senior member of staff would check the recording of my conversations to ascertain whether or not I was lying. I emailed your company with the details of my issues and have received NO REPLY. Why am I not surprised?

I have been trying to cancel my insurance with you guys since you automatically renewed in December. I have not agreed this renewal on your website yet I get emails requesting money! I do not even live at that address anymore! Sort your website out for customers who wish to cancel

Horrendous customer service, your advisor laughed down the phone at me. I asked to speak to a manager and for a complaint to be logged as I will be cancelling my policy with you. I have had no follow up. AVOID

Have current insurance so I tried to get my car insured with budget and keep my insurance although I got a quote of £868 and when I went onto get it because there was no reference number the customer agent at budget had to do a new quote at over £2000 I asked her to explain this and why I couldn’t claim the go compare quote that I had received she simply said it was because I had current insurance and there was no reference numbers so I asked if she could do something and was really not helpful at all seems to be always a problem when taking insurance with budget always so problem

I am disappointed with budget and I am cancelling the policy and taking one out with Lloyds instead. I won't insure with budget again. You increased my policy even though I had never made a claim against the policy and my vehicle insured under the policy was not involved in the accident. My husband was driving another vehicle insured through Lloyds and the accident in July 2024 was not his fault.The claim was put through Lloyds not Budget.
