The automatic renewal happened without sending out any kind of notice it was about to happen. I checked my spam email folder. It was also difficult on their site to find out what I paid last year and what I was about to pay. The price went up way more than 10% even though I have had no change of circumstance.

Failed to give any notice of automatic renewal. "ILLEGAL" I received a text 3 days after the renewal had taken place and then was charged £30 cancellation fee. Refunded after 3 days of complaining and being lied to by telephone enquiry staff. Appalling experience. You may think I agreed to automatic renewal which I did not. When you fill out the online form you are forced to accept automatic renewal or go elsewhere. My advice is go elsewhere.

I have paid my renewal in full, yet I have been pestered twice with letters threatening to cancel my insurance, saying I have not made payments. It is a very unpleasant situation to be put in. B Shelley M.I.M.I

Unfriendly, unhelpful on the telephone, telling me to use my online account, RAC did not respond to my call out for breakdown and I cancelled the request AFTER 6 HOURS of waiting.

VERY DISSATISFIED. Unfortunately you would not negotiate at all over the price quoted. You substantially charged me more money than last year, despite my not having made any claims whatsoever. I am very unhappy with this position, although I did renew with you as I found it too daunting to attempt to swap to another company. Having said that, and the fact that I have TWO cars insured with you, I will probably make the effort next year and switch to another insurance ‘broker’. Not happy at all. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to reestablish GOODWILL!

I have been charged £25 admin fee for a change of address, I have been able to do this with my other insurance providers free of charge.

If you value customer service, respect, time, value, efficiency, trust, honesty & satisfaction then this isn’t the company for you…. When my vehicle was parked up someone crashed into it & left details on the windscreen admitting liability, on reporting the accident to budget I was told if I didn’t have an exact time of incident (I wasn’t there when it happened) then there was nothing they could do, I asked for it to be looked into & heard nothing back. I then had someone else crash into my van when I was in the vehicle parked up, budget told me it was the other drivers fault & they would be held responsible, this was around 6 months ago, to date I’ve had very little communication or updates, I’ve had to repeatedly chase them for updates or to authorise repairs for the garage to book me in, nobody can find my claim on the system as it hadn’t been handled properly, I’ve been reassured my courtesy van would be read for when my vehicle goes in for repairs (tomorrow) & to phone the day before (today) I’ve been on hold for over 1 hour this morning to get through, they transferred the call 4 times then cut me off. I phoned back later, was on hold for 1 hour then spoke to someone who told me they knew nothing about a vehicle, they transferred me to another Dept 40 mins later where I was on hold before being cut off again by someone. I’d asked them to contact me if I got cut off & they told me they would do just that. It’s now 5:21pm, I’ve had no calls/emails etc to update me on the courtesy vehicle so I’m now no further forward. Without a doubt the worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with & I deal with them on a daily basis for work. save yourself the stress & go with anyone but them.

I received an email from budget insurance informing me of a renewal quote for my VW Caddy van and that it was going to be renewed automatically unless I contacted them. Unfortunately It slipped my mind and I didn't contact budget insurance until I received an email informing me that My insurance had been renewed. I contacted budget insurance by telephone within 12 hours of receiving the email to inform them that I had found other quotes for the same vehicle for half the price of what I had paid and would I be able to cancel there insurance cover, I was informed that I could cancel but it would cost £30 to do so. I said would they be able to reduce their quote and they were able to reduce it slightly but it was still quite a lot more than the other quotes I had received from other companies. Due to the fact that I have been with Budget insurance for quite a few years it seemed easier to stay with them rather than move to another company. Every year I am faced with the same thing, I get an over priced quote, I have to get quotes from other companies, I have to get on to Budget insurance by phone to have them either match or nearly match the quotes I have received. Not a very happy customer.

Very disappointed. I owned up to a very minor scratch to another vehicle and didn’t claim any insurance, however I’m now having to pay a lot more for my premium as the alleged loss adjusters have insisted , I did contact budget about this dissatisfaction and was given a date of August for an outstanding amount of just over £10 which I couldn’t understand as I’d had no notification ( the bump was in February) I have been a loyal customer of budget and due to lack of time I was unable to seek alternative quotes. I hope someone reads this and looks into the reasons behind this situation as I’m hitting a blank with your teams Rest assured that when my renewal comes around I will hesitate to reuse budget which is sad as I’ve been with them sometime A dissatisfied client John Walker i

This review is about Budget website. Everytime I try to log in to my account it fails to recognise my password so I change it, however it still doesn't allow log in; it reverts back to log in page where the process is repeated but the log in page reappears :-(

Renewal for my van increased by nearly £500 For absolutely no reason Couldn’t tell me why Insured with someone else cheaper than last year Still have my car insured with them as wasn’t to much increase on renewal

We still have an undriveable car stuck outside our house as its not been collected for repair despite dash cam footage an the third party admitting liability, not at all happy!
