I received an email from budget insurance informing me of a renewal quote for my VW Caddy van and that it was going to be renewed automatically unless I contacted them. Unfortunately It slipped my mind and I didn't contact budget insurance until I received an email informing me that My insurance had been renewed. I contacted budget insurance by telephone within 12 hours of receiving the email to inform them that I had found other quotes for the same vehicle for half the price of what I had paid and would I be able to cancel there insurance cover, I was informed that I could cancel but it would cost £30 to do so. I said would they be able to reduce their quote and they were able to reduce it slightly but it was still quite a lot more than the other quotes I had received from other companies. Due to the fact that I have been with Budget insurance for quite a few years it seemed easier to stay with them rather than move to another company. Every year I am faced with the same thing, I get an over priced quote, I have to get quotes from other companies, I have to get on to Budget insurance by phone to have them either match or nearly match the quotes I have received. Not a very happy customer.

Very disappointed. I owned up to a very minor scratch to another vehicle and didn’t claim any insurance, however I’m now having to pay a lot more for my premium as the alleged loss adjusters have insisted , I did contact budget about this dissatisfaction and was given a date of August for an outstanding amount of just over £10 which I couldn’t understand as I’d had no notification ( the bump was in February) I have been a loyal customer of budget and due to lack of time I was unable to seek alternative quotes. I hope someone reads this and looks into the reasons behind this situation as I’m hitting a blank with your teams Rest assured that when my renewal comes around I will hesitate to reuse budget which is sad as I’ve been with them sometime A dissatisfied client John Walker i

This review is about Budget website. Everytime I try to log in to my account it fails to recognise my password so I change it, however it still doesn't allow log in; it reverts back to log in page where the process is repeated but the log in page reappears :-(

Renewal for my van increased by nearly £500 For absolutely no reason Couldn’t tell me why Insured with someone else cheaper than last year Still have my car insured with them as wasn’t to much increase on renewal

Have me a good price for my first year Then the price went up £100 due to a accident that wasn’t my fault and the other driver admitted responsibility Not happy this time

We still have an undriveable car stuck outside our house as its not been collected for repair despite dash cam footage an the third party admitting liability, not at all happy!

Budget insurance is absolutely terrible as i hit a pothole in April 2022 first of all i contacted them 6 times while standing in the middle of Johannesburg at 21:00 at night after pothole was hit they then explained to me that they cant assist me as my name is not registered on there system correctly and that i must speak to the claims department first but they only open at 08:00 in the morning i then made my own plan after i spoke to 3 or 4 different people all telling me that they cannot assist i also verified all email addresses phone numbers id numbers but they insisted that my name is not on there system and that my id number is registered to mr mototoko or something like that they then came to pick up the vehicle the 2nd of May 2022 we then waited around 2 or 3 weeks for feedback the panel beaters did get a hold of us and told me there is a problem with the water pump it is making noise i then said that they must fix the water pump as it was not making any noise the night we left they then told me that the insurance is not happy with paying this as it was a old maintenance ware and tare issue i then requested them to send assessor to assist as i felt it was part of the accident after this maybe 1 month later i contacted budget insurance again they told me that i must speak to the panel beaters i contacted panel beaters they told me they are waiting for insurance and i must contact them i went through this process on 6 calls between the two budget sales agent then made me a promise and say that they would contact me the same day this was i think in June till to the day i have not heard anything back from either gave it another month then contacted them again this time insurance told me that they are waiting for panel beater i must speak to the i then contacted panel beater he then informed me that they are waiting for me if I'm not mistaken this is also 3 or 4 phone calls made between the two on the same day ever since then i have not heard back from anyone on the 10th of August 2022 i received an email regarding the report i was waiting for i then replied same day and again no reply to the email today 22 August 2022 i went in to the panel beater personally they again told me that they cant do anything they are waiting for insurance to send approval i then asked who i can contact instead of the call center as they have been no help spoke to them twice to get feed back today on the panel beaters and my car then went in after i called the assessor he then said that they are all trying to get hold of me and that he did send an email with the report my contact number is also a business number so my phone gets answered almost every phone call and the ones that are missed gets called back as soon as i see it he also informed me that we did not reply to his email i send I'm the email again today with screen shots of the email that was send on the 10th of august 2022 if you want my advise please do not use budget insurance as there service is terrible

in a case that has been going on for 2 years.my company have taken months months to send me any new info,like a witness statement that was written 7 months after the incident took over 2 years to pass this to me,my insurers and solicitor are now running scared because the claimant has a FRAUDULENT witness who has produced a fraudulently written statement.this witness was never ever present at the scene. ive paid for legal protection and do so expecting any legal action to be with a solicitor who believes me not them as this seems to be the case. this has been very very poorly dealt with and the solicitor cant even pick up on all the lies this claimant is making !!

It I could give this company a -10 review I would, this company left me with just £25 in my bank account to live off until I next get paid, I cancelled my policy on the 16th July and they took a payment out on the 19th ,I cancelled not because I wanted to ,I changed my car and they wasn't willing to insure it ,which is very strange as other insurers was willing to do so , I spoke to 4 different People,had the phone but down on me twice, required to speak to a manager a good number of times and was refused,even asked for a manager to call me back ,also refused, now I have to wait until the money returns back into my bank god know when this will be ,the only good out come is that they said they are giving me £50 as goodwill which I have to wait 7 days for that's if it even gets paid into my account,but to be honest I would have rather had the money back that they fraudulently taken out of my bank account back straight away , as I have to go work,buy food and live off £25 until they pay this money back ,this company as but me in hardship and coursed alot of stress , my advice if you have to cancel your insurance policy my sure you contact your bank to cancel your direct debit,or else they will carry on taking money of you .

When I get insurance I told them all circumstances but today when I cancel my insurance they charge me same money what they told me. When u cancel we will not charge

Appalling service, only found out my insurance was going to auto renew 2 days before the date, I hadn’t been informed of my policy premium or any changed conditions,I went onto my account there was no new policy to view so I emailed budget with my concerns and express wish that the policy wasn’t to be renewed until I could see the premium and policy details as these had not been sent to me in any shape or form. I had auto response email back saying somebody would be in touch, this never happened either and they went ahead with the policy taking the money from my account and I’m still yet to hear any response from my email.

Being a trusting person I accepted your quote without query.It wasn't until I read an independent report on policies that I realised there should not have been an increase year on year,confirmed by me looking at alternative options. When I took out my policy with you twelve months ago,I inadvertently did not notify you of an incident in 2018 when my vehicle was hit by another on a supermarket carpark,There was no damage to my vehicle and only minor to the other vehicle.The matter went to court where the Judge found in my favour and thus no costs to my Insurer.However this cost me a further £45 on my policy with you because of my innocent mistake.This means that this years policy without that £45 being taken into account has increased by 25% year on year.I am a senior OAP and money is very tight at the moment.

Advanced level driver...full no claim bonus...Post Code risk area A... mileage less than 6k p.a...identical car and location to last year. Renewal quote was 75% more than last year (SEVENTY FIVE PER CENT) No one at Budget Ins. could give any coherent reason for this. Rendered speechless ...never advised of a reason

Very poor if you need to change your policy mid term I changed vans and my price rocketed until the next quote when it dropped again I felt really mugged off.

the most disgusting service ever received - budget insurance they dont care about their clients- i had claim in January where i was advise the damages cost R53OOO and because i couldn't use their repairer and ask for repairer of My choice the consultant who may claim was alloccated too Nobuhle Cele -i send emails call she awalys have to call me back -last time she lied that her email are not working-she never respond any email-when she call back last after 2week of battle to get hold her -advise me that the damages are now qoute R40200 -i asked for the call records and Quotation she lied again that her email are not working -however still today i have been follow up on qoute and recording.no1 is getting back to me.. im very shocked fraud so if have to use my own repairer amount to the damages has to lower.the same 20 April ask for my policy to be cancel budget already debited for the month of May -Come to my surprise the policy is effective cancelled for 20th of April -what happened to my money that was debited on 20th of April for the Month of MAY.:( IM VERY ANNOYED

I had my purse stolen and cancelled my cards - my payment didn’t come out and you charged me approx £25 for a missed payment - Attempted to explain to customer service what had happened not interested .
