like another couple of people on here tired to cancel but have a threatening letter about a debt company or pay £80 sent a email no reply very much a oneway company

Tried to cancel auto renewal day before expiry on car insurance online and could not, no renewal notice sent. Cancelled first thing on the day to be charged £38 for the benefit. Called my card provider and they are investigating. Today 3 weeks later I get a threatening letter with debt collection agency for the full annual amount £145 and the policy is already cancelled !!!! I would hate to deal with a real insurance claim from these people. Am taking legal advice. They are slightly cheaper than elsewhere but its is not worth the agro. They have not heard of a cooling off period.

You should ve ashamed of you self Budget Insurance for not covering the surfer who lost his van.. Thats why you guys have plenty of money left for the managers..BÀÀÀAAADDDDDDD INSURANCE. Stop awarding your selves..

I had claim for lost and stolen keys my excess was R5700. And there quote was R 5750 when I obtained a quote the quote was R 8850.00 and they said that they are going to go with there quote 5months premiums wasted with these people

Joined while it was O2 drive. Been with them for two years. After reading these reviews their thefts. My insurance policy in 2019 was £310 per year. In 2020 my current policy was £386. I’m a 34 year old, been driving for almost 16 years, don’t have any claims or criminal convictions. Yet I am being fleeced. I moved house at the beginning of the year. In February 2021 I was charged £75 then £20. Don’t know what the £20 was about, nothing was said about being charged £95 for moving house. I’m looking to canx my policy. Reading a lot of these reviews, there’s a cancellation fee. Fingers crossed when I canx I won’t be charged for another insurance policy. It’s shear fraud and unprofessional, just debiting people’s bank accounts.

ABSOLUTE SCAM! The clowns took my deposit for my van insurance and then cancelled without contacting me. I uploaded a perfectly legitimate proof of NCB that Swindon had sent me on letterhead paper that said ‘proof of NCD’, the policy number, the date and my personal and vehicle details…and Budget Insurance had told me it wasn’t an acceptable proof of NCB because the policy had expired (2 weeks ago)… durrrh well of course it has, that’s why I’ve taken out a new policy with you! And NCD is valid with any insurers for up to 2 years so they literally have no point. I replied to the email asking for a manager to ring me and received an email back from the NCD department telling me that my issue wasn’t a NCD issue and to call another department… what the hell?! I replied again telling them it was and I needed help. No reply. The next day… they’ve cancelled my policy and STOLEN my deposit. Don’t touch with a barge pole, the positive reviews are likely fake and this is yet another beautiful scam. I will be taking legal action on this one.

Made a claim on my contents insurance wish i hadn't, their underwriters are coop and their reviews are horrendous, they just pass the claim onto another awful loss adjusters who will do everything they can to make sure they dont pay out. Never again.

Customer service was non existent. When I informed Budget of an incident that my unoccupied vehicle was involved in, I was passed on to Enterprise to deal with the repair etc. I had a text telling me to contact the repair garage to arrange for my vehicle to be collected from my home. That was it. All other phone calls and texts from Enterprise were asking me to sign a form for a replacement hire vehicle and threatening me, if i didn't sign the form my vehicle wouldn't be repaired. Fortunately the individual that damaged my vehicles insurance also contacted me to see if they could assist in any way. I explained what Enterprise were trying to get me to sign and they informed me not to sign it and if i wanted a replacement vehicle they would sort one out for me. As it happened I didn't require a replacement vehicle. Enterprise never informed me of any repair progress, I was having to contact the repair garage myself on a weekly basis. Absolute disgusting customer service from Enterprise who were acting on behalf of Budget. And to make things worse my insurance renewal premium went up over £50 when I haven't made a claim. I shan't be renewing my vehicle insurance with Budget when it is next due.

The worst insurance company I have ever worked with. They happily take your monthly premium, but when it comes to claims they look for any excuse not to pay out. When you try to contact them about the claim there is not a single agent available to assist. I have spent hours on the phone and have left messages for the past few days for Garen Pillay the agent handling my claim to call me back with no response, and whenever I call he is not available and there are no agents available to assist me.

I called to ask them to cancel my policy as my van breakdown they charge me cancellations fees plus one month extra instalment more surprisingly they said I could keep the policy running and you don’t have to pay the cancellation fee and that was worse to pay lots more

Not impressed. Rang to add 22 year old son onto insurance, and it was a total rip off; we found a much cheaper quote for him going alone. Insurance has gone up despite no claims being made. Only renewed due to forgetting; won’t be making that mistake again. My advice - avoid.

Awful company with terrible customer service. Has no interest in looking after or retaining customers. Will be moving my policy elsewhere and warning everybody I possibly can. Their attitude towards customer service leaves me with zero faith that they would ever look after me during a claim. Awful company, please spend a little extra and avoid.

Will not be insuring with him again quoted me one price on the phone picked up my new vehicle then they decided to charge me another £99 escalated it to the complaints department who said they would listen to the call and call me back guess what no one is called me but they’ve taken the money out of my bank the word rip-off comes to mind

Any Data is collected by an insurance firm like this so-called Budget Insurance, could be a risky practice by the person who willingly give out their data. Car insurance like this, do not care or worry about anyone other than making money from the most vulnerable. This should have been investigated ages ago. I hope nobody ever will hand out their important data to an insurance company like this who use a system to try and act fraudulently. They won’t be able to act in that manner for very long. Whatever they make from the most vulnerable, will probably be lost in legal cases.

Their consultants had contacted me many times that they end up confusing me and I end up having two policies for one car. I paid for two policies for three months, at first I thought it's a once of fee. Later on the 3rd transaction I started looking at my bank statement I noticed this. I phoned and asked how does it happen that I pay for one twice? They apologized for the inconvenience and promised to refund me within 7 days, believe me it's 25th day now I am following up twice or thrice a week they keep saying they'll get back to me but don't. I am very tired of this. This proves that when I get a problem I will experience the same hassle. So I decided to cancel both my policies and find a better one

Purchased car insurance at cost of £219 after going on a comparison site. However Budget did not wait for me to forward my NCB instead they accessed my bank and took another £556.00 without my permission. I asked for a refund after I had forwarded the NCB but they only refunded me £368.00 this oncreased my policy price by nearly 100% I phoned to ask for a reason and they said the terms of the policy had changed. NOTHING HAD CHANGED EXCEPT THAT THEY SCAMMED ME OUT OF MORE MONEY. I cannot afford to pay cancellation fee on top of the monet I have already pad so I am stuck with Budget insurance for a year... AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

I have cancelled my policy with Budget Insurance early March 2021. Only to find out via debit orders that they never cancelled my policy. I called them to enquire and they did see it on their system that I requested for them to cancel the policy but it is still active. They promised to rectify their mistakes and the manager promised me he has immediately done a refund and the money will reflect on the 31st in my account. Now it is the 1st and they have not refunded me and when I call them they say they will do the refund today and the money will reflect on the 08 April. Now I have to wait more days for their incompetency and i am not even sure I will receive my refund on the specified date as I did not receive it on previous specified days. This is a huge inconvenience on my side.

30/03/21 Enterprise are keeping in regular contact, ready-to-go for a few days now. AW Boston have my photos and are waiting to hear from ...yes, you guessed it, that's right... BUDGET! So! We are all now waiting for BUDGET ...and this goes on and on! SHAME ON YOU, BUDGET!!!! 24/03/21 My claim has now taken SEVEN MONTHS FROM TOMORROW to begin to be processed. (I reported my accident 25th Oct 2020!) Today some progress...Enterprise Car rental Spalding have called me to get the ball rolling on my replacement car and on the same day AW Boston, the garage arranging the repairs, have contacted me too, which is great! A huge relief! But guess what? They have asked me to provide photos of the damage...strange as BUDGET were sent photos in Oct 2020! Why couldn't the photos be passed on along with the rest of my case notes? (BUDGET ARE INCOMPETENT, that's why!) The ombudsman has also contacted me today and I have asked them for assistance to help me leave BUDGET without having to pay a penalty, so I can find a legitimate insurance company, not one that operates on the premise of deception.(BUDGET INSURANCE deceived me. They have shamelessly taken my comprehensive premium payments under false pretence, without providing peace of mind...WITHOUT PROVIDING ANYTHING AT ALL, EXCEPT A WHOLE HEAP OF STRESS) 23/03/21 I have been informed by my solicitor that Budget insurance have been trying to call me ...but get this,...they've only been calling someone else's number 😂🤣😂🤣for goodness sake!!! Spoke with the underwriters today who were told, by Budget, that my front passenger side light was damaged?! Not correct! In fact it was the left hand side wing which was hit causing some cracking along the front bumper...not the light! (Budget EVEN had the photos I sent them 😂🤣😂🤣) In my experience Budget really are complete, incompetent twits!!! 21/03/21 Over ten days since your 'reply' Toni?!! and almost seven months since I reported my no fault accident to you!! STILL NO RESOLUTION. STILL HAPPILY TAKING MY MONEY THOUGH! 20/03/21 Clearly non-existent customer service. Not trustworthy. Outrageous! AVOID 19/03/21 Heard nothing today either. 18/03/21 Still no news. Awful service. (17/03/21) My terrible experience continues! Another week on and still no nearer to getting my car fixed. I have passed the matter over to my solicitor now and I will continue to keep potential customers posted on any 'progress' from now on until the matter is resolved...Be warned! This could be you, when you try to claim. 09/03/21 If I could give less stars I would. I had a no fault accident almost 6 months ago! I pay comprehensive premiums and my claim has still not been processed! What on earth is going on here?!!!! My car still has not been repaired and my attempts at communication are being ignored. I have never ever had an issue with any insurance company before. Please beware!!! This 'insurance' company is not what it appears to be. There is only so much that can be blamed on Covid!! Seriously?! For goodness sake, how long does it take to call a customer to explain what's going on?!! How long does it take to reply to an email?!! Quite frankly this is appalling treatment. I'm fuming!!!! How very dare they?!!!
