The black box is terrible- I'm a cautious driver so I always had a high overall driving score. However the last month my driving scores have been terrible, for what seems like no reason at all, I drive exactly the same and often cover the same routes everyday, some days the scores will be high the next it will be in the minuses! This causes my score to plummet and therefore affects my insurance price for next year- will not be renewing with them as it is clearly not based upon my actual driving!

I have been with carrot now for 8 months and all I have had is trouble with the Black box it keeps miscalculating my speed, they keep saying they are cancelling my insurance policy when the information is wrong then they apologised and wouldn't do anything for theinconvinence I can't wait for my policy to be up with these people they may Seem cheap but they work out very expensive when you have to pay for miles and very stressful when they keep saying they are cancelling my insurance through no fault of my own do not go with these people

Had to wait almost 30 minutes to get through to customer services, but when I got through, lad who spoke to me was incredibly helpful and polite.

Absolute terrible company. On average 40 minutes to get through to an operator. Cheap but there is a reason. STAY AWAY

We are paying a lot of money to be insured with this company and they are impossible to get hold of on the phone each time we are kept waiting running up our phone bill for at least 20 minutes each time! Even on the emergency number!

This is the worst company I've dealt with, someone crashed into me and they TOLD me it was MY fault! Every time I call the company i'm mainly told 'I don't know and that person isn't in', when I actually can get through that is. I never get e-mail responses and one e-mail address on the website pops up as 'no longer exists'! Worst customer service, so rude and have no interest in helping a customer out. Also sending me hundreds of renewal e-mails even though I've told them numerous times I don't have the car anymore and the quotes higher than the current!

Threatening to cancel my policy for speeding in Northamptonshire, I have never been to Northamptonshire. To make things worse they're doing this because I was apparently going 40mph on a 20mph road, yet the road I was apparently on is a dual carriageway? Horrible customer service, very frustrating being on hold for 45-60minutes. Poor.

Have received multiple emails threatening to cancel my insurance and then finally cancelled my insurance policy when I suggested that I may need to drive a bit for work. Awful customer service...very disappointing

Good idea for the company but it is not executed well, worst customer service, sent multiple threatening emails and not at all helpful when trying to sort out any 'issues' they have.

I'm trying to top up my miles before my policy is cancelled but I have been on hold for an hour and a half now. Not happy in the slightest.

Such a con take your money of you then say you've doing over speed limit and took full years insurance and they just cancel stay away from this company and when you try to ring they don't answerer

Absolutely awful customer service. It takes at least 20-30 mins to get through to anyone and most of the time they are useless. With 1 month left on my policy they charged me £175 for 500 miles. Then after to talking to a different employee I found out they could have given it for free as there was only a short time left. I recommend never going with this company.

Every time I've tried to get hold of them, there's been at least a 20 minute wait on hold, and sometimes up to an hour. They've promised me callbacks that never happened. When I moved from the centre of London to the remote countryside (moving the car from roadside to a garage at the same time) they tried to tell me that the policy was increasing. After an official complaint, they decided that it could stay the same. They've similarly responded with 'Give us £250' on several other occasions.

BEEN TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH FOR TWO DAYS AND CANT GET THROUGH. DAUGHTER HAS BOUGHT A NEW CAR AND WE CANT GET THROUGH TO GET THE CHANGE DONE ON THE INSURANCE. BOX ALWAYS GOING WRONG. HAD HER DRIVING FOR 72 HRS FOR A 6 MIN JOURNEY. A COMPLETE JOKE.

Carrot insurance is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. The customer service line keeps me waiting for up to hours at a time, they then can never help me and once even hung up on me because they couldn't understand my query. They told me I had to purchase more mileage as I had gone over even though I hadn't driven my car in a month, they then cancelled my policy and refused to give me a NCB for the year, despite it being 1 month before my policy was up for renewal. Just awful.

I have now cancelled my insurance with carrot as the box instalation is a load of rubbish the scores are so harsh and change all the time even though I drive the same. I am not happy with this insurance. 3

Where can i start with this company. They appeal to young driver with usually a few hundred quid cheeper then other companies however that all that appears to be good about this company. Since i work quite unsociable hours i tend to drive a lot in hours that are after 10 at night and i don't find it unreasonable to drive in my own car at my own expense after these times. Now after some digging and a call to customer services to find out why my usage score was -1 it was explained to me that i would get punished for driving after a certain time which to me seems like a curfew and extremely unfair.I did ask about Curfew's before i purchased the policy and which the conversation on the phone i have recored and will be taking further action on this that i would not be punished or restricted in anyway for driving after a certain time. Secondly , id like to say the customer service from theses guys is awful. Never have i had to wait 45 minutes on hold to then be told they have system issues now i know system issues happen however they should really change the hold tune to something that tells you they are unable to do anything. Lastly the excess millage charges are extremely unreasonable. I originally was reassured that i wouldn't need 8000 miles as a new driver and the guy on the phone managed to conivce me i would only need 5000 since then i have realised this was not enough and i have already had to pay 120 pounds just to drive another 1000 miles which wouldn't be unreasonable had i not paid 2800 pounds for the policy anyways. and I'm still set to go over and with only an month left on my policy they want another 120 quid for some more miles. I would never ever ever recommend this company to anyone. They attract you in with a decent price but the extras you will be charged after the policy has started are simply not worth it. i would also suggest that you pay more and don't get a telematics box in your car because they just aren't helpful and you will be punished for going even 1-3mph over your speed limit. STAY AWAY
