paid 250 pound deposit, waited for them to come fit box but after calling refused to fit it as they said wheels were modified...these wheels were on the car when manufactured..they have now cancelled insurance and have the cheek to charge 35 pound cancellation fee and charge on top for the cover for two weeks after taking my deposit

I have payed a 350 pound deposit to cover the installation of the box etc. Yet cause i was waiting information on what i needed to do they have cancelled my insurance with out installing the box therefore i have paid out for nothing yet they are happy to take insurance from someone with a 3 year old daughter. No consideration for the customer as long as they get the commision for sittingnin there office. Great way to make an household struggle financially with the over priced charges and unneccesary cancellation

Carrot insurance hasn't made me happy. As I've taken out my first ever insurance out with them, as I passed my test in February. I have a black box installed on my car to lower my insurance down. They say I get a cash reward every 3 months if I drive sensibly cash of 115. But then I received 40.

Carrot cancelled my insurance policy 1 month before it was due to be renewed. This was due to a milage allowance being exceeded. Rang customer services (a wait worse than ringing hmrc)to be given a quote for excess miles and how long that would be valid for (told 30 days) rang up 7 days later to pay for excess miles to be told my insurance was cancelled and that my underbroker had issued a refund. 20 days later.... Rang up carrot to enquire why the refund still hadn't gone into my account to be told it hadn't even been processed and that the amount I was told was actually incorrect. Lodged a complaint. Shady company.

It had allowed me to keep a track on my driving, as a young driving it's helped improve my observations skills.

Good quote, black box was fitted with no problems, the app is good, I like to see my scores and excited about the potential cash back I am going to recieve also! Dislike that if you go out between 11-5am that it effects your score as I have to be out that late sometimes due to work! Also the usage goes down significantly a lot if you make more than like 2 journeys in the car which is not great! Takes a long time to get through to the customer service team and when I did she was very unhelpful and rude so not too happy about that, only a month in so we shall see how I go :)

Carrot is good because they allow you to monitor your driving through an app, breaking down your driving into 3 different sections, although my issue with the app is that it doesn't break it down enough or tell you what it was you did badly, unless you call carrot directly. Another nifty feature of the app is that if you park somewhere and forget where you park, the app will allow you to find your car from your phone! The major issue I have with carrot is that because I work a night job it will mark your score down for driving between 11pm and 5am, so that may want to be something to consider! Engineer arrived early and fitted the box within 30 minutes. Gives you the option to earn cash back for good driving and discounts off your insurance. Call Centre often can be frustrating as theres a fair wait before getting onto the phone to someone but however are very useful when you do speak to someone. Decent company with fair quotes.

I am really happy with the customer service it is exerlent and the are always so kind and help full also they have never let me down when I have needed them I would highly recommend carrot insurance to all my friends and family and anyone really no other insurance company better

Why should I have to wait for like 20mins before someone picks up? Can't deal with that so definitely won't be continuing with Carrots solely because of that. It needs to be sorted out!

We have had a couple of problems with the black box but nothing that can't be sorted. Carrots call centre staff have been very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Avoid at all costs. Black box is very temperamental and stops working when it feels like it. Cannot get through on the phone without waiting at least 30 minutes. Had a problem with the windscreen and carrot arranged for a company to contact me. When my son took his car to be repaired they demanded the full amount because they had never heard of my insurance company (carrot is just the broker). Carrot told me to pay it and claim it back from them. I'm still waiting and have now cancelled the policy. The worrying thing is carrot claimed they have no idea who contacted me to fix the windscreen - it must be a psychic company who can sense when a carrot customer asks for it to be done...........

Like it so far , but in a bit of a dispute over a speed violation that the black box has picked up and Carrot had her on a street she never went down. This could have costly consequences

Carrot insurance was the best choice I've made, they're cheap to insure new drivers, the people who installed the I-box were quick and efficient and I have become a better driver with my I-Box monitoring my perfomance of every drive.

As a 19 year old who works 2-10 and still attempts to have a social life outside of work, when I finish at 10 pm I have one hour to do what I like and then get home before my driving score decreases due to 'unsocial' hours. Get rid of the unsocial hours and this would be a great company to have a black box insurance company

Carrot was the cheapest insurance company I came across when looking for my first lot of car insurance considering my age. I was really happy with the fact you receive money through being a good driver. I love the free app so that I can keep track of my driving score. When ever I have had to contact Carrot customer service, the service has been excellent. I would definitely recommend Carrot Insurance Company to anyone of my friends or family.
