Do not bother with these people. Once you are with them, as previous people have said their customer service is diabolical. I have tried phoning and they don't answer, even when you press the wrong option in the tiny hope that you might get an advisor. I have emailed many many times and no reply. Once you threaten with the Insurance Ombudsman you eventually get a response. Have sent an email this week, twice and no reply. Will be the third one later today with the threat of Ombudsman........ lets see if I get a response this time!!

I been a custmer with carrot insurance for 7 mounths now and i have to say given all the quotes i had recived while trying to find insurance carrot was by far the cheapest. I love that there is a free app that you get on the phone which allows me to track how my driving has been going, and thanks to this i am able to see weather i am in need of improvment or not. The fact that i am giving money for good driving just motivates me that much more. The only thing i will see about it is that the app marks you and speed,smoothness and usage. Which speed and smoothness i know exsactly what that is lol. But the usage it doesnt give me any information reference what it means by marking the usage!! ......other than that i would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Very poor customer service, also technicians dont show up to fit the box. The box and dashboard are ridiculous. Carrot will be very happy to take your money and provide the least amount of service possible. Steer clear of this company they are bloody expensive and will charge you an arm and a leg to leave once youre with the sick bastards

Wouldn't recommend to ANYONE, quite happy to answer on about 10 seconds to take your money, but once your committed, your on hold a minimum of 30 minutes at least. Even then none of the useless staff know what they are doing. The telematics box is also a pile of rubbish!!!

Giving me false information About toping up my miles. Taking more miles off me when haven't been driving. Also didn't solve this "glitch" that took 100 miles off and lost a high driving score to very very low Only looking money!!

Absolutely rubbish, my dashboard was always wrong taking extra miles of me and taking me on journeys lasting over 24 hours, forcing me to buy extra miles. Also my dashboard jumped from a high driving score to minus, I rang up carrot and they said it was a glitch in the system and they couldn't do anything about it. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Absolute Rubbish. Firstly I was informed to be breaking the speed limit by 4 mph and my policy was cancelled. Having been told I had already had 2 further warnings. Even tho I had only been driving for a month. I contacted them and after 32 mins on hold I was told there was nothing they could do. I then had to cancel my policy to avoid having to declare it to future insurers and lost my whole deposit. STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSURER!!!!

As others problems with telemetric box inaccuracies eg recording spurious journeys, extending times making long journeys, recording seperate journeys if standing in traffic etc. All fine for the first 2 qtrs and financial rewards given but it seems as if they hav a magic switch thats flicked to avoid paying up and an excuse to activate the poor driver clause and cancel. Customer service is a joke when you eventually get through. This company preys on young drivers and doesn't assist at all avoid like the plague!

First of all there are penalties for driving your car at certain times, for over an hour or less than a mile. The box always had errors, including extending a 15 minute journey to over 5 hours. Secondly, when I was hit by an uninsured driver through no fault of my own I was denied a courtesy car which was in my policy as it was a write off, and charged not only my voluntary and applicable excess, but a £300 new driver excess all which totaled £700. I am severely out of pocket and think that the lack of morals in this company is absolutely disgusting. We pay for insurance to prevent problems like this and all Carrot have done is take advantage of a young driver. NEVER GO WITH THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!!!

Telematics boxes don't work correctly - the one they installed in my car fried the electric circuit! Carrot refused to take responsibility. New car, new box, new box does not record speeds and journeys correctly - it says I often make 3 day straight journeys! Also, twice, they took a payment twice! Useless, takes around an hour on hold to phone them, then their customer service advisors cannot understand you, even though they're English, pathetic excuse of a company. Not to mention the extortionate fees to make changes to your policy (£120 to change address, £250 to change vehicle - even though vehicle change was due to their box f****ng my old one). AVOID. I could go on and on about this company and I've only been a customer for 3 months!

Absolutely poor customer service. I sold my car and wanted to cancel my car insurance policy with Carrot. I called several times and was kept on hold for over 30/40 minutes each time with no answer which is unacceptable. Eventually after several calls later I managed to get through to someone after being on hold for 30 minutes, the lady said to me they were short staffed/ staff called in sick, to me it just sounded like excuses seeing as i'm not the first person to experience this poor customer service from Carrot. I gave them some advice as a customer on how they can improve their services, who knows if they will listen, all I know is that when I purchase my new vehicle I will definitely NOT use Carrot again.

Very hard to get hold of, have to wait atleast 30 minutes untill getting Intouch and also an absolute rip off. Do not recommend!!

Got warnings on email to say I had been speeding, when infact I hadn't. I make sure I do just under the speed limit.. so I contacted them and they are going to cancel my insurance. When I had told them the black box has problems and says I speed all the time can I have a new one.. they basically told me no because it shows I had been speeding for 2 seconds. How can anyone go from doing 40 to over 70 in 2 seconds?! Absolute joke. The customer service is a joke as well, they keep you on hold for 10 minutes+, will then speak to you for a minute and say they're going to put you through to someone else.. another 10 hminutes gone. Never again will I go with carrot. Jokers.

These people have the worst customer service imaginable. Kept on hold for over 40minutes regarding some documents which i have sent a numerous amount of times. They do not answer their emails either avoid using this company!

Well firstly getting through to them is the single most difficult thing I have ever done. Be prepared to be on hold for up to an hour. Secondly I wanted to change the email address as I no longer had access to the previous one and I have spoken to almost 6 people asking them to change it as they had still not yet done so. When it was time for my insurance to renew they told me the wrong date and when I called to tell them I didn't want to renew I came to find out it has automatically done so as they emailed the wrong address after telling them to change it for so long. When I said I wanted to cancel the renewal I was told there was going to be a 70 pound cancellation fee if though I did not drive it. However because my dad drove it who's own policy allows him to drive any car full insured. Yet because he drove it I had to pay the 70 pound. Absolutely disgutted with this company avoid completely

Quite the very worse customer service I have ever come across in all my experience. I can only imagine their phone number is an income generator which is why they keep you hanging on and on and on without someone to speak to. Don't go near them

Rang me four times to schedual a booking when my box had already been fitted. It thinks I'm speeding when I haven't, poor customer service where you tell them something and they disregard it. Would defiantly not recommend unless you like a 45 minute wait to get your ibox installed

Avoid at all costs, wait times are horrendous when you try and contact them, the app itself which displays your driving scores never works properly and the telematics box is ridiculously sensitive and don't even bother trying to change the vehicle on your policy as they refuse to cover anything apart from the bog standard corsa/fiesta
