Worst company ever they asked me to send the 2 parts of my license by emailing me when they already had a copy of the 2 parts on there data base from when I signed up with then so I didn't reply because i thought they made a mistake so when I didn't reply they cancelled my policy they also told me I had an outstanding balance that had to be paid and when theres an issue like this your constantly left on hold or they patch you through to someone else. And they want you to rate them from 1 to 5 stars it's a joke it shought be from 0 to five I can't wait to renew my insurance and go with another company.

I have just finished a whole year with Carrot. At the start it was an ordeal, I had to pay £117(?) JUST to change the address on my policy... Most staff are quite pleasant to talk to, others not so much. I was involved in a crash back in February and told Carrot what had happened first. They seemed to think that I was the main person to blame, when I wasn't. They didn't bother to tell me that the person I had the accident with claimed whiplash? I literally found out about a week ago, so close to finishing the year? Their calling system is hurrnedous, it takes a good hour to get through to someone and when you do the call is so crackly you can't hear what they are saying. Overall, i believe Carrot are terrible. I've just changed to Admiral and have had a massive difference. So much calmer and easier to get in contact with and not so ridiculous! Do not recommended Carrot to anyone. Absolute joke!

the woman on the phone was very helpful her voice was very soothing to my ears and she helped me with my policy i forgot her name but if you get a nice woman on the phone its her oh and don't buy cars from R an L stephens in romford he's a dodgy car dealer

I've almost done my full year with them and not had too many problems. The thing I learned is that the black box isn't the best thing on properly reviewing your driving, I only know this because most of the time it says on the online dashboard that my acceleration is +10, I don't think the black box knows what messing about with your mates at 5 in the morning wheel spinning and randomly putting on your handbrake going 60mph. The box got me going 46mph in a 30 zone and the next day I got a message saying I went over 50% of the speed limit and if I get another warning my policy will be cancelled, i now just stick under the 50% limit. The photos of my licence I sent in didn't get checked properly because they would have realised that I haven't actually had a full licence for 2 years in the first place. The company is justhe a big joke but I can't complain about the customer service because when dealing with them on the phone I had a decent experience to be fair.

Absolutely shocking just had email to say cancelling insurance as black box not installed, it is installed in my car, all about money this company!! DO NOT USE THEM ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING ALWAYS TAKES MORE THAN HALF HOUR TO GET THROUGH TO THEM ASWELL

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Probably one of the worst decisions I have made in my life is agreeing to a policy with Carrot Insurance. My box tells them I have been to places I have never been to. Driven at times I have never driven. Left my car on over night. Take at least 30 minutes to answer the phone to tell them their data is inaccurate. I have been told on 4 separate occasions that someone will come and check my box and re calibrate it. Been threatened with policy cancellation for driving 20 mph in a 30mph zone that my box registered as a dual carriageway. Customer service 0/10. When I rang to buy top up miles I was told I had to do this form my carrot card that had never arrived as was going to take 21 days to arrive. In this time my miles ran out & I was again threatened with cancellation unless I bought more - which I could only do on my card that had no arrived. Basically rubbish company & I will NEVER re new with them or recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely awful customer service. No one will answer you in less than 20 minutes, quarterly rewards will always be paid in late; if ever at all. I've been a customer for 6 months and Carrot are simply looking for your money, which we all know young people don't have much of. Stay away from this pathetic excuse for an insurance company, you'd be better to roll up your money and smoke it quite frankly.

The box fitted to my car does not accurately recird data. It regularly fails to update GPS positions causing huge negative scores for speeding.....whilst parked. It shoes long journeys whilst the car is parked. All these abomolies have the affect of seriously affecting renewal premiums and also discrediting good driving. I reckon this is illegal and will be challenging the company and hopefully get insurance somewhere else. I can't believe how poor the ratings are for these guys.

When they came to fit the black box the man told me that my wheels (which were standard for my car), and a few small stickers are "modifications"and are not allowed and that my policy is being cancelled and I cannot use carrot again, and of course out of this cancellation fees had to be paid by me. All because of STANDARD wheels and stickers, what a joke! I'm a student and this has left me out of pocket.

What a complete joke! I just got my policy cancelled after paying £480 as a down payment, and £220 every month. I got an email telling me that I've been 50% over the speed limit, twice! Funny thing is, the road I was speeding on was a 40 mph road, but in their email they stated it was 30 mph and I was driving 48 mph. I never got an email for the first offence, only the second one. Now my policy is getting cancelled in a week, for something as stupid as their system, failing to send me an email for the first offence. When I called them, they insisted that they sent an email for the first offence. I took a loan to get me an insurance, since I'm a student, and this happens... Never JOIN their policy, they'll try and take everything of you. - I will be glad to sue them for every single penny.

Not even deserving of one star! The policy is ridiculous, black box is stupid do 2mph over the limit and have money deducted!! Tried to cancel and was on hold for 1hr! Absolutely disgusting your paying for a customer service experience as well as insurance, the man on the phone was rude and charged £95 to cancel even though the policy clearly states £35 cancellation fee. I've also had a look at the black box and was screwed down so right it's cracked the plastic casing. Pay a bit more and go with a real insurance company. Don't waste your time with these. Realistically I shouldn't have taken out insurance with a company named after a vegatable.

wouldn't even give this company one star!!! Totally avoid! So strict with the black box and charged me a fee of £160 even though I cancelled under 14 Days, biggest mistake ever made getting insured with them!!

Haven't had a problem with carrot, box seems to be working fine for me. I think the app is a great way to keep progress of you you drive as their is always room for improvement. As a young new driver carrot was the cheapest quote I got and so far very happy I chose them. Have had the box for a month.
