quiet disappointed, good looking policy but got charged an extra £91 because I had said I was married and I only have a live in partner (of 14years, we do count ourselves as married) it is some difference in price for having a named driver that is a wife or a partner. cheaper to get married. seemingly married people have less accidents, wonted be renewing next year out of principle though. good service from the staff but they said there hands were tided and wouldn't let me cancel.

We needed european cover as with our previous policy. When we called on this, accident in France totally not our fault . Told 3rd party only. It took me 6 months to battle with AXA FRANCE to get my money. I will not be renewing with Churchill.

Had a quote from them as a continuing customer. Because I failed to properly disclose a previous claim, they increased the premium by 25% which was fair enough. However, when I agreed to this, they then increased the premium again by another £100 ! The reason given was that the original quote was for an old customer, but because I had paused a few days before deciding to take it up I had become a" new customer" and warranted the extra premium. This is not the way to win customers. They certainly lost me !

Very antiquated company in terms of customer service. I wished to change the address, due to a move, on my car insurance. I went online - apparently you have to register with a code sent by post to allow access, to see details of your policy and make any changes. Why is this done automatically when you take out a policy? So last century... A week later when you get the code in the post, there's actually very little you can do online. Certainly not change your address. When I eventually managed to get somebody on the online chat (who was clearly dealing with at leats 2 or 3 other people at the same time...) I was informed that it would cost £85 to change the address. I had 4 months left on my policy and was moving to a "safer" postcode. Extortionate cost. I obtained a new quote from a different company at 25% less. With a week to go I contacted Churchill to cancel the policy with a weeks notice to be told I could only cancel no earlier than 24 hours before I wanted the policy to terminate. And the agent refused to tell me how extortionate the cancellation fee would be! I found the whole experience bizarre to say the least.

I took out the policy because it was supposed to have free Green Flag cover. I was charged for the Green Flag cover and when I rang Churchill the operator said I was wrong, despite the fact that it was on my statement in front of me. The operator refused to deal with it, so not only was the customer service appalling, but I was cheated out of the cost of the Green Flag cover - I would NEVER use Churchill again

There really is an issue getting to speak with someone based in UK. We have 3 cars with them and will be moving elsewhere. was adding my daughter to our policy for my wife's car and wanting £500 for 3 months worth of cover. Complete and utter rip off and no help to try and reduce the premium by offering black box reduction.

Very helpful when taking your money but not so when claiming the uninsured driver cover they offer is not easy to claim as you must have the full reg of the car also make and models .not easy if the number plate is fake .or you miss one letter or number as in shock at being hit and then seeing them just drive of

GREEDY CHURCHILL INSURANCE. I updated my car details as required, simple change of smaller/newer basic spec car. I was charged £110: 10 p When challenge about the amount, no real answer from "CHURCHILL CAR INSURANCE" operater, except that's what it is for my vehicle. I rang back 3 mins later and spoke to another operater, to ask why, the other operater returned £33 back to me straight away. This states greedy and bad practice by " Churchill car Insurance". No doubt that others maybe the same.

Poor Customer Service: Involved in a car accident Christmas day so expected to wait until 27th December for anything to happen. The person who initially dealt with the claim (Lindsey) was great but since then the experience has been very poor, car only collected today after chasing up and complaining and no courtesy car delivered to replace the car. Informed a courtesy car will not be issued until repairs take place which could be some time, this is not clear in the policy document and churchill are clearly doing the bare minimum to assist their customers in their time of need. The representative today (James) also quoted information that was not in the policy document, saying a courtesy car would only be provided if available, the policy does not state this!

Everything is okay until you need to claim (even when your not to blame for fault).. Be warned they use glasses guide to get valuation, which is very unrealistic in pricing, currently 20% down on local trade prices in similar car for a car I have had less than 2 months... Soon as possible I will be going elsewhere, considering they would be profiting from third party insurance group...

Made a claim today and was told my courtesy car should be brought today and mine taken for repairs.come three o'clock still no sign of anyone. Called churchill who told me that their system hadn't notified them of a delay and if I hadn't called then they wouldn't have known. Now I have no car to get to work and their response was that it "wasn't their problem" I won't be using them again.

Really good price and no issues until you make a claim. I put a claim in months ago that was non fault. I was told I couldn't have a hire car until the third party admitted liability. The third party did so and got my car. Everything went fine until they sent me my renewal and took three years no claims off me! They said third party had not admitted liability yet; so what about months ago when I got my hire car?! Disgusting. Makes you wonder what they are doing all day. Not their jobs obviously.

Car Insurance - took over 25% of annual premium (no refund) when cancelling 3 1/2 months before renewal. Lesson - don't use Churchill for car insurance or pay monthly. House Insurance - About 40% more expensive to renew with Churchill than to go elsewhere. Lesson - don't use Churchill. It seems a case of cashing in on inertia.

Renewed my car insurance after being told that I could add on my son at a latter date on a provision and full license insurance (all details given over the phone) when he passed his test. He passed his test with his instructors few weeks after and rang Churchill to change insurance details. After again filling in adviser questions I was informed that they could not insure him.tried to get insurance back for miss sold information. They charged me £53 to cancel insurance. Do not believe the dog advert yes yes it's no no
