“Absolutely terrible for motorcycle insurance, if you're thinking of devvit I'd suggest MCE. Better prices and less cheating involved”

“Everything went fine when I signed up for a motorcycle insurance. I signed up via a comparison website and one of the questions was if I had any NCD for any motor vehicle, I did, on a car. So I signed up for a cost of £184.81 (not the cheapest btw, but I thought they would be good because of the rating). They contacted (Donna and Jemma) me stating that my NCD was for a car and not for a motorcycle, I sent a screenshot of the form print stating motor vehicle. They didn't care as according to them the question is correctly formulated, and wanted an additional £132.29. I consider this highly excessive considering a subsequent search for insurance with 0 NCD resulted in only an excess of £41.95 with the same insurer (Not to mention that they're still not the cheapest). They then unilaterally cancelled my insurance.”

“Avoid this company at all costs. Took my money then said I couldn't use my NCB, Called them they said no I can use my NCB its fine Then gone 9pm on a Sunday night they cancel my insurance because I sold a vehicle, I never cancelled it and never sold the vehicle, they tried to refund me 1/8th of the money they took from me not 3 days earlier. Avoid these clowns”

“This company has very poor customer care. I have used Devitt insurance for the last 4/5 years for insuring different bikes I have had. I am over 50 so they are toys when sun is out so very low risk at 1000 miles a year. I have just recently sold my last bike where I also recommended devitt to new owner which they have used. Last week I receive an email informing me that I owe £33.71 for cancelling my policy which is over 2 months direct debits worth and they are threatening legal action which will affect my credit score because the card they hold on file for me to take payment has expired and I must make payment within 2 weeks. They have also written to me as well just in case I don't read my emails. I have paid them now via their website and will never use their services again. They have no respect for paying loyal customers and highly recommend using other insurance brokers unless you like being treated as a criminal if you sell your motorcycle. Be very AWARE👎👎👎”

“The people are thieves! They took my deposit and two months and they canceled my insurance! Even paid a month I wasn't even insured! They are absolute thieves and will spread the word and report to FCA!”

“Unable to contact them on the phone, on hold for hours at a time and being cut off for over a 7 day period while i was unwell, i wrote to them via Facebook messanger trying to cancel my policy, they later called after i messaged them on facebook and they hung up before i had chance to answer, then they text messaged me and asked me to contact them again on the number you can't get through on?? They then sent me a really nasty threatening letter and email with cancellation notice and fees more than the original policy cost. which i contested. I cancelled my direct debit with them in the hope they would contact me as i still could not get through on the phone to them. Then they ileagally took the money from my account without my consent,. You have robbed me, give my money back..... The worst experience in over 30 years of being insured. Stay well clear of Devitt.”

“Utterly useless. Just avoid them seriously. Tried calling customer services today for the first time ever to make a policy amendment, been on hold 52 mins and counting. Called the quote line on my other phone and spoke to someone within two minutes who has kindly put me through to the back of the other queue. Inadequately staffed obviously.”

“Be aware that Devitt as a broker can and will charge "industry standard" cancellation fees. In my case the Ombudsman has advised that it is acceptable for them to charge £50 to cancel a £73 policy into which I had already paid £53. The total charge currently being demanded is £79 ...more than the cost of the original policy. Legally they can do this it seems, so perhaps it would be wiser to go direct to your insurer of choice and cut out the middle man”

“Watch out for the small print!!! I cancelled a policy that was 3 months old that I had paid up front for. I sold the bike and cancelled the policy (will you would as its the law). And they charged me an extra £25 to cancel the policy. No refund of the 9 months left just an extra £25 to pay. Do not go anywhere near this company.”

“absolutely the worst....my son had his bike insurance with this sad excuse of a company had his bike stolen so cancelled his insurance they then enter my account illegally and stole £269.50 from my account (am not the policy holder..dont deal with them...”

“just been on hold for three and a half hours, after I'd found they had auto renewed a policy without asking me. for a vehicle long gone. I'd call it theft. upshot after cancellation fee no refund. with a bargepole do not touch”

“Took out insurance and set up payment date for 28th then they try taking money out on the 21st the point blank refuse to change the date it comes out. Very rude customer service. Avoid at all costs they do not care about their customers!!”

“I Decided to sell my motorcycle,so rang Devitt to cancel my insurance policy which still had 6 months to run,only to be told there was a £75 cancellation fee on a policy that only cost £75.45 for the year !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely Ridiculous .”
