Have and will never go with them ever again. After car hit me from behind, turns out the car was with same insurance and stated I reversed on a roundabout. Should actually be challenged by trading standards and licence to trade revoked.

I was told that they would hold a payment due by a representative, I had lost a family member, had to pay for arrangement for burial, I received a message that my payment schedule was updated and that they would be taking the funds on the new date listed on the email(updated schedule payment arrangement ) I was told I would be fine until then and Elephant took the payment several days ahead of the updated payment arrangement causing a financial lost. I am 59 years old and paying over 300$ a month and they now said my renewal was going up to over 500$ a month. Because my car was hit ( hit and run) while I was home sleeping..no fault my butt they admitted that was why it was going up 200$ a month more. Although I will be 60 years old with NO accidents in over 20 years. They are horrible.

On March 21, 2024, I hit a pothole while driving the interchange between highway 360 Northbound and 183 Westbound. This is a very rough road with several potholes. When my tire hit one pothole a certain way, it spun my car into the cement guardrail and a post near the end of the interchange. I went ahead a filed a claim because the damage to the front end, my tire, and the fender were significant. They approved to pay $2500 and I pay my deductible of $2500. I was waiting to ensure parts were in prior to taking my vehicle to the body shop because of my insurance company’s very strict rental policy and that the car was still drivable at the moment. A couple days later, I was on the balcony at my job and noticed the large dent on the roof of my car and several scratches down the trunk. The accident happened pretty fast, so I'm not entirely sure how the damage occurred, but the wooden post did go flying when I hit it. I assume it hit the top of the roof and slid down the back of the vehicle after causing the otherwise unexplainable hole in my hood. I called my adjuster a few days later when my radiator busted, and my engine overheated from the damages. My adjuster, Donovan Gipson, told me to let the body shop know to submit a new supplement for the damage, which they did. Today, the body shop received a call that they were denying the supplement because the damage wasn't originally notated and not part of the initial damage notated, and they didn’t believe that the damage was a result of this particular incident. Yet, damages that are not originally noted are reasons for supplements to be submitted in the first place. I had no idea to tell them that my undercarriage needed to be replaced, but they approved that on the first supplement that was submitted. ALL damages from this accident should be covered through this claim and failure to do so is in bad faith. After informing of this and subsequently filing a complaint through the BBB, they insist that I simply file a duplicate claim and pay another deductible. Honestly, if they truly believed that the damage didn’t come from the incident referenced on the first claim, why would they say that they would approve a second claim? The truth is that their entire job revolves around denying everything they can, even it means lying and lying and then contradicting their own lies. I’ve filed complaints with the Texas Department of Insurance as well as the BB and I will continue to blast this horrible experience to save others from the same…at least with this company. Elephant Insurance, the con artists, may come in with lower rates for your policy, but remember you get what you pay for!

I was a loyal customer of Elephant for 4 years but they have ripped me off on my most recent insurance renewal. Very disappointing experience. Would not recommend using this company.

Used Elephant as a car insurance provider, good customer service and competitive pricing in the previous year. However, I was offered a lower quote by an alternative insurer at the time of renewal.

Poor prices, renewal premium was more than £200 of quotes I had received from other companies. They do not value their customers. Poor customer service, tried to cancel renewal but the website server was down, also couldn't get through by phone, and when I did manage to get into contact, I was asked to pay extra due to not cancelling it on time. (Which I couldn't because of their website being down.) Poor service, Avoid if you value your money! Also spent over an hour on the live chat, with an agent, who offered a renewal price even more than the one i complained about for being too expensive. These guys are scam artists - that try to add extra costs onto everything.

By far the most incompetent and inconsiderate company I have ever had dealings with. I insured my car with Elephant and chose to pay by monthly installments via debit order. I gave my banking details and the first payment (deposit and first installment)went off fine. I moved home shortly after starting with them. My second payment did not go through and they sent the letter informing me of this to my previous address. As soon as I was in my new place I informed them online of a change of address. At my new address I received a letter saying my policy had been cancelled due to non-payment (one month's installment had been missed - ONE) I phoned and was told that the letter informing me that payment had not gone through had been sent to my old address and returned to them. Yet at no time did these useless, lazy morons think to pick up a phone and call me. I immediately paid in the outstanding amount, had to pay a cancellation fee even though I had not cancelled the policy and then asked them to reinstate the policy. They then told me that I had to pay the full year's amount and could not pay by monthly debit order - there incompetence but I must suffer the consequences thereof. Even after I informed them that this was all due to their incompetence and I could not afford the full amount they would still not listen and insisted I had to pay the full year's amount up front - I told them to shove their policy up their rear.

I have been with Elephant for three years and didn't have much issues until I changed my Multi Car insurance to Single Car insurance which I didn't have good discount and been offered nearly half price from different insurance companies. I made a complaint after the investigation Elephant didn't offered me a better quote and I decided to cancel it. Jason Parnell Customer Assurance Executive contacted over the phone and explained me the cancellation terms and told me that they had to charge for cancellation fee and they will give me refund of £78.28 because I wanted to go with cheaper insurance I accepted and cancelled the insurance. This conversation happened at 14:01. At 19:37 my wife received an email from Jason Parnell which I attached his response here; FormCode: COM022 217992454/EL/P001 Dear Mrs Sahin Policy Number: P63762705 Complaint Reference: 201231000 I have just spoke with your husband Serhat regarding the cancellation and advanced there would be a refund of £78.28. However, when I got off the phone I noticed that it is actually an outstanding balance of £78.28 that will be owing on the policy as this would cover the cancellation fee and time on cover costs. I am emailing as I am having technical difficulties once again or I would have called to advise. This payment is showing that it would be due on 13/11/2021 and would come out shortly after that date. I apologise for the inconvenience. Yours sincerely Jason Parnell Customer Assurance Executive This is an absolute disgrace, I was on the phone with him and he already stated that they were going go refund that amount, It's all recorded I can't believe this especially company like Admiral. We recently paid our monthly payment and this is totally acceptable. I attached his correspondence so everyone can see how trustworthy and unprofessional Elephant insurance are, I will definitely take this further and will get Financial Ombudsman to resolve this for me definitely not having this.

Long standing customer of over 8 years but wont be renewing.  2 stars as when I did make a claim (not my fault) they dealt with it well and in a timely fashion.  Gave me a quote of 701 (yearly price) which made it more expensive than last year (60 a month, paying monthly) when they added the percentage for paying monthly.  I did a price comparison on a well known site. It came back with a price of 420 a year or 40 a month including credit interest. This was for exactly the same cover (which I checked thoroughly), it even had less excess if I did have a claim. So I contacted elephant, who immediately reduced their price to 520 a year (50 odd a month paying monthly).  So my question is if they can offer this lower price straight away why dont they when they quote you your renewal price. I'm technical enough to do a quote online but many arent, imagine all those people paying more money as they cant haggle with a lower comparison quote. I have like 2/3 weeks of cover left with elephant, then I'm switching. Every year I will now switch, there is no bonus to being loyal with most companies anymore.

Beware, they will charge you a fee for anything they can and don't waver anything. I set up my policy and called them back a couple of hours later and got whacked with a fee for a very minor change. The policy hadn't even started. Honestly, Admiral, Elephant and Dimond....I'll avoid in the future.
