Initially gave a good quote of £455, then refused to accept documantary evidence of 24 years NCB from 3 different vehices and suggested an adjustment of £856. Hilariaous! Got a quote of £440 from a decent company (Admiral) who accepted my NCB and cancelled the policy with Flux. They charged me £181 to cancel after one month. What a racket lure you in with cheap quote then try and fleece you. Dont waste your time with these guys

It’s amazing how they just keep adding things on that they don’t make clear from the start, much cheaper to go with another company in the end

Con! get insurance with black box that they don't fit have to pay £200 for new box (including cradle and delivery fees) for it to then register as a speeding caution as I took it off the screen too fast getting 3 cautions and them cancelling my insurance to then offer me a ridiculously cheap price compared to others just to drain more money out of you. Pathetic excuse for an insurance company, but cant do anything against them as of their sneaky escape clauses pushing the blames onto the consumer! DO NOT USE THESE EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!

Disgusting company. Purchased learner driver insurance for my daughter paying direct debit. She passed her test after 3 and a half months. For the year they wanted £459 as we have cancelled the policy after already paying £193 they have wrote to us saying they want another £170. This will mean we have paid £364 for 3 and a half months when the full year only cost £459.

very poor customer service ... £30 to have a new box as we didnt mount it on the windscreen where it blocks vision.. speeding points add up when just over limit and within 10% of limit .. just looking to rip you off !! very very expensive with many hidden charges .. DO NOT USE

horrendous company. Give you a cheap quote to lure you in, then wallop you with hidden extras, proof of mileage, proof of job, sing a low mileage contract. staff are rude beyond belief. Absolute joke of a company, do yourself and favour and pay extra for a decent company and stay away from these thieves!

Cheap for a reason? If you've got to deal with their customer service -you're stuffed. Absolute bunch of amateurs - taking money months later for a cancelled insurance policy (during cool off period) and then trying to blame everyone else except themselves. Used previously but never had to deal with them beyond buying a policy, will take business elsewhere in future - even if it costs more.

Took a policy out for my son with me as a named driver, they requested copies of both our licenses and a verification code so they can look online at them. Provided them but was told we hadn't so supplied them again. Again told they hadn't been supplied, so called them direct and after speaking with them I emailed the information over along with photos. Policy came through but a week later they emailed saying my information was wrong so rung again and supplied the information yet again along with a new code. All was fine for a couple of weeks when we were told they are cancelling the policy and no information has been given, so again I called them and after checking they said I should ignore the emails as everything appears okay. This morning my son gets a letter informing him the policy is being cancelled. Fluxdirect is a complete shambles, the codes supplied I had checked and access is given so the licenses could by viewed, the emails were received okay so the pictures and codes again could be seen. They don't talk to each other and as this is my Sons first policy as its a provisional license he's worried that this threat to cancel his policy will appear in the future and make things harder.

Shocking insurance company!!!! I didn't even buy the car because I hadn't had confirmation of the insurance documents coming through. Which insurance makes you wait for 3 days for confirmation of you being insured. I checked online and the reviews speak for themselves. I didn't have enough in the bank to buy another so wouldn't take the risk of driving without insurance for a car I travelled far for. Lost my deposit on the car and called flux direct to cancel. I was waiting forever and decided to do a ring back instead. So for the 3 days use which I obviously didn't use I was charged £49.99 fee and other fees resulting to £80 for a service I did not use and didn't even receive documents too. Ridiculous company and I'm sure they will make anyway possible to get out of a claim and everything as money is everything to them as the ethics and moral of the company is built around money and not the service. I just hope this review gets read and that if it puts others off then eventually it will be no more. I've never had insurance request a headed letter from employers and ask other details such as universities studied at etc. I'm not one for writing reviews but this angers me hat companies can run like this. Please be AWARE people. I would rather pay a higher premium for insurance in future then deal with these cowboys of a company.

Avoid at all costs! Everything is fine until you say You would like to leave, Suddenly £25 cancellation fee becomes nearly £100, then if You argue this they without any communication or warning next day will try to add excessive administration cost of £35. Furthermore, they send You emails outside working hours so You are unable to call them and find out whats going on. There are plenty better brokers there... Yes they are not even insurers, just brokers trying to drain You as much as possible when they find out that You want to cancel policy You took through them. Be warned.

I have a black box insurance with Flux Direct, since having this I have had neumerous problems, the first one being that my car was taken to the garage, the mechanics took it for a test drive which was over the speed limit, having rang Flux the next day explaining the situation, they fully acknowledged that it was the mechanics, however this has still gone down as one of my "3 strikes". Before this I had a "caution" through whilst getting my car down to the garage, which is very interesting to hear as my car would barely run nevermind speed. The box itself is very sensitive, it is impossible to always be at the correct speed limit due to gradients in the road adjusting the speed of your car. When I asked to know all of my up to date speed records, I was sent through a link showing all my driving destinations apart from the actual speed. Apart from all the above reasons I would like to state that the box is a bad idea for anybody debating to get one as you will be constantly bombarded by other road users shouting abuse at you and getting dangerously close to the back of your car, not to mention them trying to overtake. You are more likely to be involved in an accident with the black box then you are without one.

i insured my CLASSIC escort 6 days ago , adrian flux kept requesting more and more documents from me saying there was not enough evidence of my address , telling me my council tax bill was not good enough because it was older than 3 months even though i sent recent bills, this is after they took my money , no mention of this earlier , so i got angry and cancelled the insurance , they charged me 104 quid , to cancel bearing in mind the premium was only 175 quid to start with , only 6 days ago . financial ombudsman now dealing with the highwaymen , does this sound familiar , and yes i did genrate enough evidence of my address , before you use that excuse.

Would give no stars if that were possible. Very unhelpful operator. I wanted to change my car but the quote for the new vehicle was unrealistic, so said I would cancel [less than two months in to my policy] when I found out the refund was £5 I said no don't cancel as I still have the car, but the operator said I've already cancelled as you asked and you can't change your mind now! rip off

After insuring a vehicle with Adrian Flux I had to cancel the policy within 7 days due to unforeseen circumstances. The cancellation charge and fees were absolutely extortionate and there was no leeway given despite the circumstances. Beware of this if you decide to use this insurance company!!

like many of your former customers, when you accepted my fee and agreed my insurance,i thought great, thats that sorted.not knowing that I would then be required to sign afidavits that I had a garage and that I would lock my car in it,you asked me for photos both sides of my driving lic etc, etc, I have been driving over 40 years and 10yrs ncb.i decided not to continue with your company as my insurance didn't start until 28th jan. you took my payment 11thjan ,I cancelled on the 13th over the phone.and was told it would cost me£50, I commented its a rip off,and was asked if I read the small print, and was told you would reduce it to £30.which you have taken// I am 78yrs old and never had the misfortune of dealing with people like yourselves. and I have now insured with a slightly more expensive company, online in 15mins. a lesson learned//

Hi Michael, Thanks for your comments. Your feedback is appreciated. I am sorry that you are unhappy with the level of documentation that we have requested and as a result decided to cancel your policy. We understand that the additional paperwork does generate more work for you and for us, but ultimately our customers benefit from our stringent quality control of new policies. This allows us to accurately underwrite a policy and provide correct cover and pricing. Kind regards Simon

Parts stolen off my classic/vintage Foden lorry. As I thought a simple claim! No! Adrian Flux quizzed/interrogated me, by 2 different people and then subjected to a conference call including the DVLA, this took on and off 2½ hours in all. Yes I am clean! A clean licence and 56 years of keeping my nose clean! However devastated as to my loss of the 70 year old parts. I have 10 classic vehicles, some insured with NFU, Flux could learn a lot from the NFU!

I'm only giving 1 star as I can't give none. I don't usually leave reviews so I'll keep it brief.....Absolute shambles of a process. The amount of info they 'require' AFTER you've purchased the policy is a farce. Zero mention of these documents when you're purchasing the policy. Now to top it off they are asking for documents I've already sent them. Never ever again will I insure with this mob. I'll be telling people to steer well clear.....Pun intended.

No other insurance company I or anyone I know have been with, has asked for this much information. Spending my time putting my information into the website in the first place to get the insurance should be all they need and they should ask it all at the time. Not wait until after you think your insured to ask for more information that they shouldn't even need. I have sent everything they have asked and there now asking for it again! Absolute waste of time! Will NEVER be using them again!!!

Hi Jodie, Thanks for your comments. Your feedback is appreciated. I am sorry that you are unhappy with the amount of documenation that we have asked for. It is standard procedure for no claims bonus evidence to be requested, as is a current mileage reading when a discount has been given on a reduced mileage policy. The only other information that we require is a copy of your driving licence and the accompanying check code. We do understand that sometimes the documentation that we request does generate more work for you and for us, but ultimately our customers benefit from our stringent quality control of new policies. As you took your policy out online it isn't possible to ask for documenation immediately. Instead all online policies are checked and then any necessary paperwork is requested. Kind regards Simon
