“I actually phoned the company before purchasing. The quote took quite a long time although it was thorough (over 45mins). I used the telephone number given on line and if I did it again would look for a freephone number instead. Overall, I was happy with the procedure.”

“Very pleased with quote will be interesting to see what they offer on renewal! The only thing I had to chase up was the promised cash back after three months but this was dealt very quickly when I phoned them”

“I don't really think I can comment on the Halifax overall service as I haven't had to make a claim with them. It is only should that happen, that I would know if it's any good or not. The reason I took the policy out is that a previous provider, refused to pay out on a claim I had made. I had been with them for 9 years & not claimed anything so I would very much avoid using that insurance company ever again but as I said, I didn't find that out for 9 years”

“When I changed my car during the term of the insurance they were unable to swap the insurance from the old to the new without heavy penalty charges. Their quote for the new car was so high I cancelled the policy. Very poor business approach.”

“Central heating broke down - made claim under home emergency policy - engineer came to property quickly but had to wait 2 weeks for parts! - not good in cold weather!”
