“I went with Kwik Fit Car Insurance as it seemed to offer a good deal. A lot lower than the next quote which I had listed. Thinking it was a good deal I signed up.
All was well until I actually needed to make changes to my account. The car needed to scrapped through no fault of my own. Now with most insurance companies there is normally a small charge. However Kwik Fit add admin charges to everything meaning that they came up with the figure of £82.99 on top of the fact I had recently made a monthly payment.
They also charge other heavy administration costs (from what I have read from others) for even minor changes such as change of address, charging £50.
Thank god I never made a claim with them, can only imagine the amount of admin charges they would make up.
Don't be fooled into signing up with them because its cheaper that the next. There is a reason for this.... If it looks to good to be true it normally is.
Pick a reputable insurance company as it will probably save you in the long run.
Despite never missing a payment they still just want to take you for every penny.
Based on my own experience with them.”
“The problem with Kwik Fit Insurance is the difficulty in viewing your document. They only exist online & you have to remember your login details to be able to see them. i have login details for many other websites & I have lost the username & password for my Kwik Fir insurance policy & certificate. It's just a pain not to be able to get hold of it easily if you ask me. I bet when I go to renew my policy this year they double the premium! If they do it will be goodbye Kwik Fit insurance & hello new insurance broker!”
“My issues started when I changed address and the premium instantly doubled. I found another provider who gave me an equivalent policy for the price I originally paid. I did have to pay back some admin charges though, totally around £80 to get out of the policy. Overall, unsatisfied.
If I was not able to find another policy with a different insurer for the same price I was paying I wouldn't mind but there were several offering the equivalent before the price hike so I don't see why the premium should have doubled.
I've not had any issues whatsoever with the new provider, goodbye KwikFit.”
“I was pleased to find Kwik-Fit Insurance for the first time, and take out a policy. However, I was amazed that my policy did not include Breakdown cover, which I thought would have been a standard question and feature to have within the Policy, especially for a female driver.
I was put out when I found that my policy did not include car breakdown cover, but it easily rectified.”
