“Went to kwik fit wigan branch, for simple slow puncture repair. I was charged £26.50. I have found out since that usual the price is around 5 -10£. In addition to this the mechanic tried to persuade me a £250 repair was necessary for a back that was sticking. I have since found out ( mechanic) that this was a complete lie and that there was nothing wrong with the brakes at all. Do not use this garage unless you want to be scammed.”
“Specifically picked 'do not auto-renew'. Sent renewal letter saying they were going to renew automatically - at 2.5 times the price of last year (no claims made etc). Then hours on phone to even speak to someone to sort out. AVOID!!”
“Was with kwik fit for one year, they sent renewal which had gone from £400 odd a year to £1100 a year, found one elsewhere much cheaper called to cancel and they asked why, we told them, they said we were lying and no way would we have got a quote that cheap....well we did, £110 a month they wanted i found one for £18.45, still waiting for proof of no claims bonus to be sent through to!”
“Big mistake taken out car insurance with Kwik Fit, taken it out is easy to cancel it it so difficult. They trying to automatically renew my car insurance and make me pay £300 more. So I when for another company and it cheaper. Now they asking me to sent them my new insurance certificate. Never ever again. Not even taken my car in to there garage. My car I make sure it insure not them.”
“Overall good service. Breakdown service excellent and when my car was broken into they handled things brilliantly. Renewal quote however is triple the previous year despite ncb so won't be renewing....!!!”
“Insurance cover overall has been fine! Never had to use it but everything has been effiecent! The inclusive breakdown cover is another thing altogether! Home does third party provider held me to ransom when I broke down 60 miles from home! I had been waiting 40 mins in freezing wind and rain and they refused to tow me home until I had paid an £80 charge as it was over 25 miles! I didn't have my wallet on so I had to give them family members numbers one by one until they could get hold of one to pay my ransom! Absolutely disgusting service from them!”
“Prices quoted on comparison sites are always much lower than you end up being quoted when you get to the Kwick fit site. In my case £128 on compare the market, actual quote £300. Really dispicable way to do business.”
