“We have our puppy with legal and general and the only fault was that it took a little while for the claim to be paid out. The process of claiming was simple and despite only being with them for a few months they had no issues in paying out the (almost) £4,000 for my pups surgery. I just hope I will continue to be a happy customer when it comes to our renewal.”

“I was recently burgled and although I hadn't bought a policy directly with L&G, they were the underwriters. L&G have been far better than I was expecting from an insurance company and have been helpful and paid out for my claim when I was expecting more of a battle. It was a relatively small claim (approx. £1k total) but was a lot to me and whilst it has taken a while, this may be down in part to me not constantly calling them. I did find their telephone system frustrating as there was often a long wait to get through to someone and then they had to get up to speed on my specific claim, but generally people were helpful. I would prefer it if they sent more correspondence by email, not only for my records but also as I find it difficult to talk in the day time due to my work. Overall I've been happy with how my claim has been dealt with.”

“As I haven't needed to make a claim against this policy ( yet - touch wood !) I can't really say what they are like as an insurer. The process of switching to them from my previous insurer was very straightforward, but that was as much to do with the ease of use of the Go Compare site as it was anything to do with the insurer themselves. They did send me a £10 M & S voucher for taking out insurance with them - which was nice ! Never had that before from any other insurer.”
