I find the banking services good but Lloyd's management of their MBNA credit card services appalling. If you fear that you are a victim of fraud, hope it is not MBNA as you just cannot get through to anyone to speak about it.

Changing vehicle details an absolutely rip off. Simple change not only insurance recalculation on day to day basis plus administration fee excessive.

In the long run they're fine, I've not heard much from them and not had to make a claim so can't comment in that department.

Not happy with how much they put the policy up after a year and if you choose not to renew the policy they charge 20 pound. They expected me to renew a policy that was dearest its ever been for me in 25 years driving 25 years

Most of time their internet banking works OK. I've been using it for the last 18 years. However, the last 2 months when trying to log in you have to get a text msg or phone call giving a four digit ADDITIONAL code to the ones you already use to log in! This is NOT technology serving me. I am now serving it. I don't have a mobile, but the system keeps defaulting to SMS msg selection. I had this altered by Lloyds after phoning them, but it has reverted to SMS msg. I now have to go through 2 more screens to get an automated phone call on my landline giving the 4-digit code. Then, when trying to input the four digits you get the usual French farce of the automaton saying "I'm sorry, but the code has not been recognised", even when it is entered correctly. You then have to get ANOTHER 4 digit code and that eventually works. This is not service. This is big finance reducing the population by heart attacks brought on by infuriation!

A mixed review really, I have unfortunately been a victim of fraud twice since opening my Lloyd's account, which of course is no fault of the bank. However they have been brilliant on both occasions, patient, understanding and very helpful. The issue was sorted quickly and efficiently both times. Now onto my grumble, I have had my account a little over 2 years, and when I first joined I wanted to be a member of club Lloyd's so as to get the perks (free cinema tickets, mobile phone insurance etc) which costs £3 a month, or nothing if you pay in over a certain amount each month. I have recently had a baby, so of course I'm on maternity leave and not earning as much as I would usually, and because of this they have decided to change my account to a big standard one. Even though I had either paid the £3 or paid in enough each month so as I didnt have to. To me loyalty isn't one of their priorities. Staff I have spoken to in branch or over the phone have always been more than helpful though.
