AVOID THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. THEY OFFER YOU INSURANCE AND 7 DAYS LATER ADVISE THEY CAN NOT KEEP TO THE AGREEMENT THEY HAVE MADE AND CHARGE YOU £25 FOR THE PLEASURE. THEY TAKE THE INITIAL PAYMENT FROM YOU IMMEDIATELY BUT THEN ADVISE THEY CANNOT CONTINUE WITH THE AGREEMENT AND IT WILL TAKE 5 DAYS TO BE REFUNDED. IT REMAINS TO BE SEEN WHETHER I WILL ACTUALLY GET A REFUND AND AM NOT HOSPEFUL. ALL I CAN SAY IS THEY GIVE BROKERS A BAD NAME. GO DIRECT TO AN INSURANCE COMPANY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WASTE TIME OR MONEY!!!!

None stop hassle from start to finish, BAD BAD BAD company with zero customer care given. cost me loads of hidden charges to cancel even after paying the full amount for the 12 mouths of in one go. stay away and do not use.

Rang to cancel a car insurance policy taken out a month previously; it took THREE separate calls to resolve my issue, which was to be given a clear breakdown of charges BEFORE making the cancellation. In the event they just went ahead and cancelled it and on the third phone call I finally was told that they cannot give a breakdown until you cancel! BUYER BEWARE: From a total of £173 I was left, after charges of £50 (cancellation fee), £25 (comparison website usage fee) and £49.66 and other charges with a total of £23.72. I will NEVER do business with this company again, EVER.

What a joke this company are , had a policy with them in 2012 which I had nothing but problems with , I left as soon as it expired and went else were. 5 years later they have sent me a letter out of the blue saying that they had made a mistake and that I owe them £145 . They are just conning people . Do your self a favour stay clear of this joke company

Gave proof of my NCD and that wasn't good enough so they asked who was my previous insurers and I said "you". I had an email stating my policy was cancelled and my vehicle was no longer insured BUT before they sent the email they took money from my bank. Complete scum it's been so stressful I would NEVER use this company ever!!! Let this be a warning to the unsuspected customers that are thinking of insuring with this greedy, unhelpful company.

Seriously doesn't even deserve one star, biggest scamming company. Stay away. I was with octagon for a few years no trouble easy to deal with then somehow on the renewal this scamming company had taken over, they had requested more information which was sent before the deadline yet they cancelled my policy anyway with a HUGE cost to me, would not accept that it was their mistake even though the emails proved otherwise. Very stressful and unhelpful, within my first month of renewal almost a £1000 paid out, absolutely disgusting, have taken it to the insurance ombudsman.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE USELESS AND MONEY GRABBING. CHANGED MY CAR WANTED TO SWAP THE POLICY FROM ONE CAR TO ANOTHER. SMALLER CHEAPER CAR AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NO LONGER INSURE ME ON THE CURRENT POLICY. TRIED TO SELL ME A MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE POLICY AND KEEP £75 CANCELLATION FEE WHEN ITS THEM CANCELLING IT NOT ME. DO NOT USE THEM EVER!!! STEER CLEAR

If only I could do a minus for the amount of stars! Awful customer service, then demanded an extra £110 on top of the original quote, or £100 to cancel the insurance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! WORST INSURANCE COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!!

I would advice everyone that DO NOT buy this company's car insurance. They are absolutely a Scammer. They are a broker and they are not insurer of your car. It looks that when accident happens, they then try to find out who it's the opposite side insurance company, your claim then will refer to the same insurance company. Then the insurance company will find the cheapest options to sort you out. You will find that you can't get a hire car or the process was extremely slow as they don't have pressures from other insurance company. The service was ridiculously poor. They don't deal with your complaints and always find a reason to push you back. I had enough. Will never use this company's service.

Avoid them in any event.These people are such a scammers. The insurance company changes information you enter online when looking for quote and to amend it they are asking for another hundred and twenty eight pounds on top. I my case they have changed the date of purchase of my car by changing the month of purchase, claiming that I have entered incorrect. I called to cancel my insurance with them. It was in the first 3 days of beginning of the policy. First they put me on hold forever and the a very rude person Deby dealt with the cancelation. I have been charged lots of money and had so bad experience with them.

Stay away from this company with a barge pole! cancelled my insurance due to there error and unfortunately l am going through court just now for having no insurance!! should all be cleared up in the end as l done nothing wrong but very stressful! have then cancelled following proper procedures and went with another company they then called that company and advised l had auto renewed with them and my no claims bonus was invalid because of that!! plenty of reviews on here saying the same thing, l am taking it the whole way a company like this should never be allowed an fca licence there owner is a chap called Andrew Christopher Powell and must encourage has staff to steal client monies as hundreds of complaints online saying the same - THIS IS A GENUINE COMPLAINT AND HAPPY TO SPEAK TO ANYONE ELSE ABOUT IT - STAY AWAY FROM ONEQUOTE DIRECT!!!!

Cancelled my policy with them in July , told all sorted on the phone. When. When contacted have been sarcastic and extremely unhelpfully taking weeks to reply, asked for proof of sale of vehicle ,keep asking document , document , document every months they asking one document , fake company unhappy customer service , rude talk , plz plz never select this Ever Again .this people cheap and cheater , Do not use worst insurance company I have ever used.

My Experience with One Quote Direct was a most unhappy one. Very very very very bad and fake company never ever believe this ONE QUOTE IS FAKE COMPANY ! They did not provide any sort of service that would normally be expected of a reputable Broker. They seemed to regard me merely as a "Milch Cow" to be charged fees at every opportunity whilst providing NO semblance of service

Onequote direct auto renewed a policy on a vehicle I do not own any more. The vehicle was transferred into the name of another driver. I explained this and the told me I needed to pay the renewal fee. I said I wouldnt pay for a product that I have not requested or used. Oneqoute Direct where unhelpful and blamed the underwriters saying there was nothing they could do. 4 telephone calls later speaking with the underwriters, the customer service advisor and his manager and then to the debt collection agency CARS for a balance of £59.00 I have explained that this is borderline criminal and a gross waste of time and money for a situation that is straight forward common sense. Oneqoute direct have taken advantage of goverment legislation to auto renew and I wonder how many people fall for a product they no longer require and/ or a price hike in their premium. Oneqoute direct, you should be ashamed of yourselves and apply more common sense instead of using words like "terms and conditions" "balance remains out standing" - You will not push me into paying your auto renewal premium especially since I NO LONGER HAVE POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE. This is like going to the store and finding out that you have been charged for a loaf of bread even when you didn't buy one and the store says, but you bought one last week and the government says you should have a balanced diet!!! ONEQOUTE DIRECT - You are masked robbers CARS Collection agency - You have no interest in the reasons why, you just want to collect by harassing me with telephone calls and letters! I WILL NOT PAY!!

Insured my car through the company and called to change it to another car as the car wasn't in a good condition. Was waiting for a simple quote to find out if I want to stay with them or get my car insured with a different company. 83 pounds extra charge for calling 084 numbers (they blocked weQ4u which is an app changes 08 to 03 maybe to make money off this who knows) and finally even after making complaint and spoke to the team leader they can't do a simple quote. Paid about another 50 pounds just to cancel my insurance and happy ever after. Very very poor customer service skills

The management is very disorganised, the company charges too much money for their own mistakes, they offer no compensation for their own mistakes. You should avoid this company as compared to the other top insurance companies that you may have to pay a little bit more for, the little bit you pay extra for will be worth it in terms of customer service (call centre very unhelpful and unprofessional) and quality.
