“We have had house insurance with this company , this year the price has jumped up so we have decided to go else where , I see in the small print they charge £40 if we decide not to go with them !! what a rip off , will never use this company again”
“I am horrified. It's a complete travesty. The third party re claiming that I reversed into them which is so far from the truth. They were exiting an obscured driveway on to the main A338. I had to reverse on to the A 338 and completed my manoeuvre.
The third party driver was so concentrated on his view to his right and when he saw that it was clear, made a rush on to the highway driving into the rear of my car.
This happened on 18th December and now, 6 months later, the claim has still not been dealt with.
The claims guy at LV seems incompetent and appears to side with the third party.
I am appalled and will change my Insurer immediately it becomes due for renewal.
I have even considered the Ombudsman (if there is on for Insurance)”
“Online portal doesn't display much information. They auto renew your policy unless you call them & instruct them not to. There is no opt out online or when you initially purchase.”
“Bad experience. I'm still paying for an insurance I can't use, because I cancelled it. Privilege did not provide me the advice I needed, they just let me cancel the policy and believe that I owe them nothing, because I did not know that '' no refund'' means that I have to pay the entire amount. I would not recommend Privilege to anyone.”
“If the customer care received when dealing with a non fault motoring accident is any thing to draw a comparison from......then I dread the thought of having to claim on my home policy.I will now NOT be renewing our three motor policies when the time comes and of course our home policy will be included in that decision. Buyer beware....their staff are borderline clueless, this opinion has been based on recent dealings....you have been warned!”
“Had an issue concerning a possible mid-term temporary substitution of vehicles which remains resolved despite making the issue known in an earlier review.”
“My car was hit by a car being pursued by the police last September (2014). Yes, my car was repaired etc, but as yet Privilege have been unable to confirm that the accident was not my fault (?!). I have had to pay my excess of £350, and my no claims status is in doubt. To call Privilege is quite costly, they take forever to answer the phone, some of their admin staff are not that smart, they don't always return calls when they say they will, and they have made little progress with my case. I am not happy with their service.”
“I was involved in an accident which was appalling safety and driving of other vehicle, priviledge were only interested in cost to them, my legal cover worthless as could not pursue other driver using this service, was promised the final payment details of the other drivers claim, they were never sent, paid for my own repairs.didn't feel served or supported by claims team.”
“The service was good until I moved house. At this point I found the people I dealt with on the phone unhelpful - for example incorrectly telling me that because I was paying monthly by Direct debit that i could not pay an the fees and charges straight away but needed to pay as on a monthly basis.
Additionally - having moved the premium went up significantly despite moving from a main road to a leafy subburb. they will need to have a good offer to make me think of renewing.”
