I have a Samsung S6 and wanted to to save money. I'm mostly using my phone for texts and took the gamble to try Gen Mobile. I bought the $10 plan which gives me unlimited texts and data. I was skeptical at first but then the next day I received a call from their customer service team and they actually walked me through moving my phone to their network. It took about 1/2 hour and it actually worked! I appreciate their customer service team and the caring way that they treated me. I highly recommend Gen Mobile to anyone looking to save money or over and beyond support.

I recently bought a phone and $10 plan from gen mobile. That was the best decision and purchase i've made in a long time. The whole process from phone selection, plan and check out was a blaze. Everything went smooth, shipping was very fast. In fact i received my phone already activated and ready to go in a couple of days. Gen mobile you just got a long time customer... 5 stars hands down

I received a few text messages that said congress wasn't going to approve funds for gen mobile and to call my congressman and tell him that I need a phone so please help with funds. I didn't do it. Was it a scam?

Paula, on January 11, 2024, the FCC announced that the Affordable Connectivity Program may end as soon as April 2024 due to lack of Congressional funding. Without funding Gen Mobile will not be able to continue to provide service through the ACP. Really good costumer service ! The only main issue I had with this line is that group texts stopped working when I ran out of data, even if I was connected to a wifi. Customer service wasn't able to help me with that. Everything else is great. Greatest deal I've found so far for international calls.

Hi Kelly, Thank you for your feedback. With regard to your issue with group messages not working on WiFi, please try the following steps to receive group SMS messages when you are out of data: 1. Make sure iMessage is turned off in your Messages setting. Send as SMS, MMS Messaging, and Group Messaging should be turned on. 2. You may need to delete the thread and start a new one in order for the other iphone and android devices to recognize that it needs to send you an SMS. 3. Here is an article which explains the difference between Group iMessage, Group MMS and Group SMS. You need data in order to receive Group iMessages and MMS. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202724 I hope this helps. Gen mobile worked well as a low cost provider. There were a few small connection issues at the beginning but were worked out quickly.

Just there is a desire for better service, there are places ib the Tampa Bay area that are weak. Other than that I am well pleased!

Reasonable customer service when I use the chat, some better than others. Same with telephone calls. Good value. Service dropped 1 time and was back to normal next day. Good international connections.

I appreciate the low plan options. Would give it 5 stars if Gen mobile worked with phones bought outside the US, and if totals (when renewing plans) would show the tax being charged. It’s misleading to not see this until you look at your credit card statement.

It is the best phone company if you like to call out side of the country. $15 for unlimited call and text is perfect for my mom. Sometimes I can hear Double sounds that is the only thing is annoying. It is happening after gen move to GSN.

definitely a huge cost savings vs having a plan with one of the major carriers. Not being able to roam is a pain sometimes but worth the cost savings.

So fat I love the phone, price and service. My only complaint is the phone sound is a bit muffled.
