The staff in customer service are nice to deal with. Sadly, the product quality and speed and ability to resolve problems make a purchase from here needing consideration. I was sent two faulty beds and the delivery time is fairly slow. There were missing items, damaged items and incorrectly machined parts. There is a fairly involved assembly progress. Compensation for faults was not consistent with issues that needing fixing. Delivery guys were good and polite. Would probably get better value spending elsewhere. Wouldn’t use them again.

I won’t buy bed from this company anymore. Bed quality okay but delivery was awful. Left bed in middle of the room without being assembles because they were “late to go back home” (They finish at 4pm). Rude!

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately when the team arrived your old bed was still occupying the room of choice. The team are unable to disassemble your old furniture, the room needs be clear for them to assemble your new bed. They were unable to wait any longer for you to disassemble the old furniture as this would delay all other customers on their delivery route and, due to the nature of their role, the team have strict driving hours. The decision was made to deliver the partly assembled bed and issue you a refund for the assembly service which was unable to take place at the time due to the rooms condition. The instructions are awful and some of the materials did not have predrilled holes. The bed creaks.

The bed was fine but I was very disappointed with the quality of the drawer under the bed. The pieces of wood were not all the correct length which made it very difficult to put together. In addition the instructions were really hard to follow and there weren’t enough screws. When I called customer service to complain I was told I’d have to take pictures of the pieces of even though I explained it had already been wood. If you are looking for something which is easy to put together, I would suggest looking for an alternative.

We understand that encountering incorrect length of wood pieces made the assembly process quite difficult and the instructions were not as clear as they should have been. Our bed was delivered on time no problem, and I even managed to change the delivery date at short notice. But things went down bill quickly after delivery when we discovered there were no instructions or screws in the boxes. After contacting customer service they agreed to send it out on 24 hour courier but it unfortunately took 2 days to arrive and we soon discovered they had sent out the wrong instructions with the wrong screws! By this point we have missed the window to get the bed assembled by the weekend for our kids. When I contacted customer service (again) to make a complaint and ask for the screws to be urgently delivered it had been 6 days since delivery. By the time we (hopefully) receive the correct screws it will over a week! I was not offered any compensation after the first mistake. By the second mistake I pushed again and the offered me a small refund. The only reason this review is not a 1 star is because the original delivery was one time! And they agreed to at least a small token of good will. But Disappointing customer service overall given the amount of money the beds cost.

Very disappointed. I placed an order with George Dax 29th August. I paid into your bank to save you credit card fees as arranged 30th August reference 214019, the Order ID in your email 29th August. I was very clear with a delivery date Wednesday, 25th September 2024. We arrived a day before from Australia to take this delivery and build and use the beds. Your systems failed. You failed to recognise the payment. You cancelled the order. You failed to let me know you cancelled the order. This is terrible and very rude! You had the money but you never made an effort to connect it to my order. The order did not arrive as needed. I spoke to an American Cara, I think. She did her best to correct the problem and we got our beds 4th October, just 3 days before we returned to Australia. I thank you for fixing the problem. No formal apology from your management nor any credit for the massive inconvenience has been received. The beds look great.

The instructions manual is really poorly made, with some steps requiring to screw in parts based on the location of the ones installed in the following step. Some pre-drilled holes were not lined up properly, some parts had slight dints in them. For the price I was also expecting higher finishes/quality, especially when I make a point of buying UK-made to support our economy.

The bed was made of very soft wood. They don't provide the proper fasteners so that the pieces pull together tightly and permanently. One side of the bed can literally wiggle out of the headboard because the mortise must have cracked. I should have purchased the hard wood, now that I know the poor quality of the soft wood. Also, the varnish was poorly and unevenly applied. I wanted to love this bed because it came in a Full XL size, but I regret the purchase. Thankfully, my husband is a carpenter and is adding braces to make this a secure piece of furniture.

There as been no communication from you to our customer service team regarding your concerns. Scandinavian pine is classed as a soft wood but is still durable for furniture. With all of our beds we supply metal screws to secure the mortice and tenon joints together, along with other components such as the slats to the inside long rails. Value does not match quality. Low effort put into instructions and no guides for the pieces of wood at all. Pieces were not flush, and the wrong nails were used with the caps.

I received a delivery for the wrong size of bed. Customer service over the phone suggested to take some photos to be sent by email. The response consistently denied that the bed was the wrong size. It took several email exchanges to establish that the person replying was using a size chart that it is nowhere to be found on the Get Laid Beds website. It also insisted that a charge of £25 was required for a return again nowhere to be found in the Terms & Conditions and that a refund would take up to 14 days to take place. I was constantly challenged as I was lying. They sent a Petite Double Bed instead of a Small Double Bed. I am still waiting to know what is going to be done.

Not happy with size of bed as it is too small for a standard double mattress and shouldn't have been sold as a standard double. Then customer service informed me I would have to pay to return it. Very disappointed.

Three days wasted with agreed deliveries that didn’t take place. How hard can it be to send out a bed?! Customer service was good, but reactive not proactive - each time I had to call to find out where my bed was to be told it was still not on the van for delivery. Bed itself is pretty good, but the hassle to get it kind of shadowed getting it.

The Bed is ok. Customer service extremely poor. Bed has been delivered on the due date. However, mattress was not delivered on due date and l had to waste a lot of time contacting them to understand what has happened and to ask them to deliver it before Christmas instead of after as they intended due to their lack of staff . I had also contacted them before the delivery date to ensure everything was in place and when they came home they had not brought the mattress !!

Good Afternoon, Thank you for your review. The original delivery team was halved due to sickness and were unable to carry the mattress to your room alone. The decision was made by the dispatch and transport management team to have your mattress delivered my a 3rd party courier one day later than the rest of your order. This decision was made so that you could still have the white glove " to the room" service with two men delivery team with the mattress too. We are very sorry that the dispatch team did not make you or the customer service team aware in advance of this decision and that we both only found out on the day. Despite our best efforts the 3rd party courier let us down and tried to deliver the mattress on a date most suitable to them rather than yourself, despite us making arrangements to your needs. Bed delivered with incorrect parts, still waiting for the correct parts to be delivered. Customer service have been helpful but slow to respond. Currently unclear how long the issue will take to resolve.

Disappointed with my latex mattress. It was very well wrapped, however, had a dirty mark on the mattress. Which was obviously on before it was wrapped. The cover also has a few clicks in the material. Reading through the terms and conditions there does not seem very much you can do if you are not happy with the mattress that does not incur the expense of returning it. The mattress arrived on Tuesday and is still giving off an unpleasant smell although I have had the windows open.

Looks good but is not of much substance as the slates are so wide apart. At 10cm have discovered too wide for my mattress. Disappointed overall with the picture showing slates misleading - and no information on this available in dimensions, surprising given that many mattresses require less of a gap. One of the slates split also.

Not really impressed to be honest. Firstly, The optional extra side bedside table piece came with damage to it. It wasn't huge, but noticeable and when paid £79 extra for essentially a couple of pieces of wood I wasn't expecting it to be damaged. Emailed the company website a number of times and got no response which I found very frustrating. Tried with and without attachments so don't see any way that it won't have got through. And when I emailed before purchasing I got a response very quickly regarding my query. It seems they're not interested now I've made my purchase. Poor customer service in summary. In terms of the bed, I'll caveat this as I assembled myself (I needed the bed asap and the information seemed to suggest it would be an easy assemble and I do quite a lot of DIY). However it isn't as sturdy as I imagined it would be. The headboard has quite a lot of movement in it and the pieces don't sit flush where they should be after I needed to move it across the room. I found the picture instructions quite confusing a lot of the time and felt there could have been worded explanations in addition to the pictures. I certainly wouldn't call it an easy assemble. I wouldn't recommend assembling yourself and would choose a different company who would assemble if need sooner than the assembly delivery allows for. The price they offer to assemble is very reasonable, and would also have been able to show them the damage to the bedside table so my first review point probably wouldn't be an issue either. So I'll give it an extra star because in principle it is a good service, just hasn't been for me. However I'm not really convinced it is my assembly that has caused the problems rather than just not being the most sturdy of designs that doesn't cope with being moved a couple of feet across the room.

This is the second shoreditchin I've ordred. My order though was honey satin to match other pine bedroom furniture, the item received was more cinamon/coffee in colour. Whilst the frame is hidden, the headboard isn't, pillows cover it so I can live with it as I don't want the hassle of dismantling and reassembling another bed. The bed is well constructed but creaks more than the first, the lats don't sit equally on the joists either, overlapping on one side or short on the other despite pre drilled holes (7" and 4" using the middle holes and 5" and 5.5" with the first and furthest), something I don't remember being issue with the first bed. It's a good bed though it would have been nice to have got what I ordered.
