“The bed is solid and made with decent timber. One bed was sort of the ring washers but a quick email and these were replaced by post quickly and efficiently. The bed was easy to assemble but I would have an electric screwdriver to hand as it took a while screwing in all the screws by hand. But all joints fitted well which made the job easier.”

“I ordered a low platform bed from Get Laid Beds. The original order had a couple of issues. It squeaked a little and one side rail had a flaw. The second customer service agent I interacted with, was very helpful and resolved the issues for me. I did however have to order an additional slat at my own expense. I wanted to reduce the gap between slats, in order to create a more stable base. Now the bed sleeps really well, doesn’t squeak, looks great and is easy to clean! Would definitely recommend!”

“my experience is mixed, customer services were fantastic and helped me with a problem with ordering so they get 6 out of 5. On the other hand the product was a bit disappointing, the quality of materials was disappointing and the assembly instructions confusing.”

“Platform Bed frame (no headboasd) pine. Well made solid construction easy to assemble. When dealing with the customer service and sales people they were great, helpful polite nothing was too much trouble, a professional team. Only gave 4 stars as I thought that it was a bit expensive. But it looks good and we slept well.”

“The bed arrived on time and we were kept updated the instructions could have been clearer regarding assembly I think pilot holes to indicate where to assemble on side rails and placing of slats would be good we got 9 slats it shows ten on instructions so the spaces between seem a lot but it’s a solid floating bed for a shorter space which fits the room perfectly with those few points being clearer or sorted it would be 5 stars”

“The bed looks good and is solid, though could be better. Delivery was good too, and gives you options for assembly. I brought it upstairs and built it myself. A bit rough but no different than ikea furniture frankly. Though I did use an electric drill, which I would reccomend.”

“I was hesitant of buying a bed frame online without seeing it in person. The purchase was easy to make and they kept me informed of every step. The bed is not exactly what I was expecting (it'so much taller), I wish there were more specific measurements listed with the bed frame.”

“Solid bed, quick easy delivery. The instructions although pretty straightforward could be a bit clearer. After all the care and attention that has gone into the product, the instructions seem like an afterthought. Saying that the bed is easy to put together and it is pretty hard to mess up the construction regardless. This is my second bed from them over the span of approx 4 or 5 years and the quality has remained the same.”

“Bed quality very good-Opted for the solid wood. A few of the slats were ever so slightly warped however still went together fine. I will say that the delivery company they used missed 1/4 of the boxes when delivering late by 2 days already which they rectified by bringing the next day which made my move slightly more stressful aware this is outwith the companys control though”

“Really good, solid, well made bed. You have to remember these are hand made and that there might some slight defects. In our case it was the finish. But overall, very very nice. It’s easy to put together but get organised first. You have to measure the distance between the bed slats very carefully. There are no instructions for this part so you need to use your brain. The finished bed looks and feels great. Customer service was also good.”

“We recently purchased a Japanese bed, along with 2 underbed storage boxes. We are very happy with the finished products, but did experience several challenges in putting together the bed, and especially the drawers. The instructions were not clear at times, and in some instances were not correct. We recommend if you buy this product, you ask about having up-to-date instructions provided with more in-depth guidance for each step. Given where we live, we were not able to have the products put together, but you might want to consider this, especially if you don’t have a partner with good DIY skills. The middle and outer slats were supposed to be marked, so that they could be placed correctly in the drawer. They were not labelled in any way which caused a lot of frustration. There were only 2, not 3 biscuits provided for both of the drawers. Fortunately, the drawers appeared to be stable enough with only 2. The instructions talk about black 20 mm screws. They were not black, but silver. The screw holes on the bottom of the slats for the casters were not drilled in the correct location; perhaps the casters were changed, and the drilling pattern not altered to suit. For one of the drawers, 1 board had a groove on one side that was not needed. Because it is hidden when the drawer is put together, we just used it as is. Be aware that the headboard for the bed tilts backwards and the metal brackets could easily damage plaster, if it is placed right up against the wall. We had to construct a frame to ensure the bed did not slide towards and damage our wall. Overall, a good product, but let down by poor instructions.”

“Everything arrived safely and as described. The instructions were pretty straight forward, a little bit of figuring out to do in terms of which part was which but overall very painless. After careful measuring my new bed fit perfectly into my snug (small) room. The colour was as described and sits beautifully with the colour scheme of the room. Initially the bed was very creaky but after some tightening it is super! Totally happy with my purchase. Nice one getlaidbeds”

“Great customer service - via phone and email. We bought a super king size ottoman in oak. The bed looks lovely, is very solid, and we are very happy with it. Good value. 4 stars rather than 5 stars because the instructions were not always very clear and some of the pre-drilled pilot holes were not usable as they did not line up correctly. Took much longer to build than anticipated. However, really happy with the bed and would definitely buy again.”

“Great bed at a reasonable price. The Oxford bed that I purchased was precision-cut to fine tolerances, and assembly was quite straightforward. The bed looks great, and seems robust. My only criticism would be lack of lateral bracing that would keep the four legs square on the floor, but as the slats are fitted, this aspect of the frame becomes stronger. Overall a great bed. As for the modern under-bed drawers that I purchased, the quality is not quite as good as the bed. Assembly was straightforward, holes were pre-drilled, but not as accurately as with the bed. The holes for the castor wheels were incorrectly spaced, and I had to do my own. There is a gap in the slats that form the base of the drawer, but I can live with that. The veneer on the drawers was slightly abraded, but this is not a major problem. Delivery was not on the date that we were told, due to a delay in the workshop. Again, not a big problem for us.”
