Lovely made bed good quality. Instructions on assembly could have been better, but that could be me being an office bum and can barely hold a screwdriver

While selecting the Chelsea model it was unclear how the joints of the bed were secured. As I had been reviewing the item several times I began to receive advertsiement clips from youtube, clips which appear on screen while browsing. This helped me to understand the construction of the bed. I subsequently purchased a Chelasea bed along with 4 drawers for storage underneath. If the Get Laid website showed images of the screws with cup the washers in place I would have made my selection earlier. The construction was not difficult. The instructions were adequate. A minor point was the headboard drawing shown in the isntructions showed the three slats with mortice ends to be inserted into tenons on the bed post. The items recieved were fixed to the front of the bed post by screws from the rear. The drawers were simple to build and for an underbed darwer are quite substantial. Overall impression is the Chelsea Bed with storage drawers is well finished and I am pleased with the product.

Very happy with the products from Get Laid Beds. The bed and underbed storage came in manageable size boxes and the instructions were simple and easy to follow. Resulting bed was exactly as described.

I purchased the White Knight Bed in a small double size with honey stain. Get laid were super helpful on the phone answering my questions, online ordering and delivery was easy and on time. I also purchased duvets, sheets, pillows, mattress protectors and pillow protectors at a great price and the quality of these were excellent. Very pleased. The bed, once assembled, is very solid and strong. The honey stain is a gorgeous colour. Overall very happy with the experience and I plan to buy another bed from Get Laid. If I really had to be picky and find fault, which is very hard to do, I would say the following: The bed legs arrived packaged and wrapped up in plastic which took some of the stain off the wood so there is some discoloration on the legs. The assembly instructions aren't brilliant and are a bit tricky to follow but me and my husband managed it and are still happily married so it wasn't that bad. As other customers have said, the distance between the slats really should be stated on the instructions (in the case of the small double it is 10cm apart). The curved finish on the edges of the top of the head board legs and feet end legs were a bit roughly done. There was some minor dents on one of the wooden bed pieces. And the quality of some parts of the wood wasn't the best. But as I say I'm really trying to find fault here and once the bed was assembled and made up I didn't notice these issues anymore. We love the bed and I know if will last. And after you assemble the bed the room is filled with the gorgeous smell of fresh wood and wood stain. All in all very happy. And we will be buying another bed from Get Laid soon (might get them to assemble it for us next time!) and as I've said, I love the good prices and quality of their duvets, pillows and bed linen and will be buying more of these also. We didn't buy a mattress from Get Laid as we found a better price on a British made mattress elsewhere that was more in proportion to the price of the bed frame.

Order was processed and delivered within two weeks. Bed is really nice. Only downside were the instructions which were missing a lot of detail which led to guessing and making mistakes. Apart from that I'm really pleased and would buy from them again.

BED-easy to assemble although instructions kindly emailed to me on request did not match those which came with the bed; luckily they explained the labelling which allowed the correct ends to be matched when assembling. Those which came with the bed were of limited use. We were surprised that no holes were pre-drilled on the support rail for the slats which meant measuring spaces before placing and fixing them. Also, the slats could be a few mm longer but this does not affect assembly or use. The bed seems sturdy and the frame is nicely made. We bought an oak, space-saver, platform bed and its minimal design and size work very well in our rather small room. It's just what we wanted. DELIVERY-we were notified by text and email late the evening before delivery but on arrival only 2 of the 3 boxes were there. We were given some story which we realised later wasn't credible [the person delivering was repeating what she'd been told]. Nearly a dozen phone calls led to the missing box coming on Wednesday resulting in 5 nights sleeping on the mattress on the floor - not so easy when you're in your 70s. The guys bringing the box from the depot to us [a journey of about 90 minutes] seemed surprised it hadn't been brought sooner. The people at Get Laid Beds who dealt with delivery enquries were pleasant and helpful but I sensed surprise when I sought compensation and a proper apology. I have now had both but the compensation was given rather than offered for my acceptance and was, perhaps, a touch grudging. The apology from a manager was full and seemed genuine. The courier used is the choice of GLB and any delivery issues are the responsibility of GLB. They have said they will review so hopefully future deliveries will be trouble free. Based on our experience I have given 4 rather than 5 stars. I communicated by email and phone - the question below should allow all options to be selected. Speed of replies varied but were within a resonable timeframe. But it should ask how quickly - not quick.

I absolutely love the bed. It’s really great quality. I couldn’t be happier. However, do check your postcode regarding delivery. If you are considered rural (I am Exmouth, 35,000 plus population). It comes through fedex and there is no assembly. If you are a single person. Please take this into consideration. Yes, it can be done in your own, but it’s a bit of a job. Factor in time and don’t recruit a moody teen to help you. I will be ordering another bed in the future, but will ensure a friend is ready to help.

The bed itself is great, really good quality. Feels well made. The instructions in parts were poor, number of screws required said multiple different numbers and a lot of screws were missing, I had to go and buy more in order to complete the build. Could just have been an error of 1 bag of assorted screws missing but you’d think for the price of the bed these checks would be made before sending out for delivery.

I love our new Tokyo bed! The finish of the wood is lovely, and it was a nice touch that the name of the person who had made the bed was made known. Our one issue came with self-assembly. On the website, an electric screwdriver/mallet is supposedly optional, however we found that the electric screwdriver was absolutely necessary as the holes where the screws were to be fitted had not been drilled enough to actually fit the screws! The occasional hole was drilled more than another, but broadly, all were shallow. I’m not sure if this is how it should be but if it is then it needs to be made clear that the electric screwdriver/drill is a necessity.

Good service overall. Assembly process was difficult due to manufacturing. I called support in relation to the pilot holes not matching up. I got through straight away and was told that I could send an email with photos of the defective pieces but this just seemed to be the way the bed was, with the pilot holes not matching up.

The mattress & Bedstead we received from this company is of outstanding quality and genuinely second to none in terms of comfort and craftsmanship. Unfortunately, the incorrect size mattress was delivered. Upon notifying customer service, who were very helpful we were informed that it would be our responsibility to repackage the mattress in order for it to be collected and replaced. Given that these mattresses are machine-packed and extremely heavy, such a requirement places an unreasonable and impractical burden on the customer. For many individuals, particularly those who are elderly or disabled, this task would be physically impossible and potentially hazardous. It is our view that the responsibility for repackaging a product delivered in error should rest entirely with the company. Furthermore, the existing policy could expose the business to legal liability should a customer sustain an injury while attempting to comply with these instructions. While the product itself is exemplary & the customer service advisor helpful, we strongly recommend that the company review its return and replacement procedures to ensure they align with both customer safety and best practice in consumer care.

It's only been a week but the bed seems very sturdy and strong. It is a good quality bed. Every single person I spoke to was helpful and polite, very good service. The only thing is, that I had to order an extra slat ( for better support) and although it was meant to arrive at the same time as the bed, it arrived a day later. That meant that we had already assembled the bed and the slat was wasted because we used another plank of wood to make one.

Bed as described - solid + decent quality but pricey. Good turnaround given customisation. Some surface marking on oak. Not an easy task to construct with 60+ screws + zero pre-assembly/ ultimate flat pack. Good communication over delivery although date was moved from order.

Before giving full review, as we have not yet received all our items, just to make a comment. We were kept well informed with original information before bed was delivered. Bed and mattress was delivered one date late - but not a problem. However, our mattress protector and 2 Hotel Collection fitted sheets were not delivered. I mentioned to delivery men but they thought it might be in packages. It wasn't,so I telephoned yourselves straight away. I was told they had been out of stock but were now being prepared to be delivered. I requested the four leg covering protectors for the bed to be added to the order which was still with you, if it was possible, and was told that someone would contact me for payment of the £7. That was on Thursday but no-one has called and no information by email has been received. Not a problem, but if someone could just let me know the up to date position for delivery etc. Many thanks. In the process of making the bed up but looking good. Will review for you when we complete. Appreciate your time.

Good service. Bed as expected but most parts had no label or numbers....I mean it's fairly obvious but the instructions said there were numbers. Didn't do headboard until last as it was most difficult. Worrying when it tells you to do it first. Seems comfortable and the smell is wearing off

Get Laid Beds is a competitively priced and high quality UK alternative to mass-produced, imported beds. The website is simple to use and the range of products is not overwhelming.

We love the look and feel of Get Laid Beds, and, for self-assembly, they are relatively easy to construct. The customer service is excellent - quick response, a real person to talk to, adaptable and helpful. The only downside is we have had a couple of little faults in the wood of the two beds we have ordered - a large splinter was on the recent one. The company always replaces which is great - so its just the extra hassle.

I have bought 3 beds from here over the years, so overall I am happy. Some small paint blemishes on this last one, maybe more obvious in white than other finishes... Generally straightforward assembly but I do think the instructions would benefit from adding text instructions step by step. Also, having just built this 3rd bed from scratch I now realised that the second one I got, 2 years ago, must have been partly assembled then taken apart as I can now see that the headboard panels were not put together snuggly enough. The headboard had come fully assembled so I didn't know at the time. I think if you are selling something that has been assembled and then maybe returned to you, you need to at least check that the assembly is good.

Pleased with final result, however self assembly instructions were not clear. Not impressed with delivery company - we selected a date. Late on chosen date we were told delivery would be 3 days later. Then the following day bed frame delivered with hardly any notice.
