Expected much better quality for the money. Effectively what was delivered was a collection stained and sanded wood that I could have saved a fortune on if I’d bought from a local timber yard. I consider myself quite handy - have built numerous beds over the years - most much larger than this. The instructions are confusing - some parts are generic and not relevant to the bed type I purchased. The screw sizes are all wrong. Many for the frame were too long and simply wouldn’t drill in more than halfway. Conversely the screws for the slats felt too short - being barely longer than the slats themselves- but I didn’t mix up the screws and it didn’t work to simply swap them over either. I wound up having to resort to a selection from my toolbox. I would say don’t buy from here unless you are a carpenter (in which case you could probably cut out the middle man and go direct to a timber yard) or are willing to fork out the eye-watering additional £89 for assembly.

The instructions were simplistic, I suspect this was by design but when your headboard consists of five cross planks and the instructions only show three, I wondered what else could be missing. Pre-drilled screw holes were too close together in one position in particular on the footboard. So close that once the footboard was fixed to the legs the screws for the long boards in this position would not go in and I had to drills separate hole to take the screw. I suspect this was a production issue as the issue was evident in two positions which were directly opposite. Would I buy another bed - no.

Unfortunately they failed to deliver some key parts (all the screws and fittings!) so I’ve had to put the mattress on the floor and keep my bedroom and house in a mess until I get the parts delivered. They apologised and sent the missing parts out via Royal Mail, but no compensation and no expediency. The bed looks good and well made, can’t say more about it right now!

I have never had such difficulty putting together flat pack furniture Screws were missing, which we went out and bought separately (still awaiting reimbursement) We have spare pieces not included in instructions so no idea what they're for We have been in contact with Get Laid Beds via email but this is slow. Could have done with a video call or a video guide. Or at least the right instructions and fixings in the first place

Had a few issues with parts missing on delivery however customer service was very helpful and quickly resolved that issue. Not impressed with the design or instructions though. Broughy the ottoman space saver, hoghly recommend attaching the bottom bracket for the gas struts before assembking the sides so that you can comefortably use a screw driver else you will need one with a 25cm+ long shank as you wont have clearance for the handle against the sides. Also ended up making a recess for the bolt that holds the gas strut to the bottom bracket using a forstner bit as the wood that the bracket screws inyo is too narrow to account for the length of the bolt and would put a lot of torsional stress on the brqcket if I had not.

As other reviewers have shared, we had multiple issues with our order relating to the quality of the product. Firstly, the bed arrived with gaps in the finish in several places showing bare wood. When I raised this with customer service they sent a wax stick, which was disappointing given it should be a brand new product with no issues. Several pieces of wood were warped and the end of the bed rattles noticeably. One of the slats had a large hole which had to be replaced. Some sections of the bed had been repaired with a wood filler which is noticeably darker than the wood stain. The headboard has a large dent from a knot which is unsightly. We will not use this company again. Extremely overpriced for the quality of product and customer service extremely poor.

Sadly the screws were missing from our delivery as well as the build instructions. We also have some damaged woodwork. I don’t think the quality control is very good before items are sent out for delivery.

Bed frame is good no complaints. We also bought the recommended mattress. It is ridiculously high on the bed as slats sit quite high. Having simply unpacked, the mountains of plastic to see what it's like. We requested to exchange the next day. VERY DISAPPOINTEDLY the answer was no. So many online firms offer replacement, as do they, on certain mattresses. But the lack of willingness and service to work with a customer, willing to pay the same and cover delivery charges was unexpected, and counter constructive for them. Their advice was I could try and sell it. Thanks for that

My experience with Get Laid Beds was a mixed bag. While the bed looks decent now that it's assembled, the journey to get there was fraught with issues. Damaged wood, a mouldy slat, and vague instructions made the assembly process far more difficult than it should have been. The colour was also much paler than advertised online. Although the finished product is okay, the initial quality issues and frustrating assembly leave me hesitant to fully recommend Get Laid Beds.

We strive for high standards in quality and clear instructions, and it’s disappointing to know we fell short in your experience. Your concerns about the damaged wood and slat are taken very seriously but we did not receive any communication from you to be able to look into this and resolve it for you before you left a review. You chose the "Natural" option which is plain bare pine with no stain over the top. This is fully natural colour of the pine wood. This variation, as with all of our finishes, will be a result of using real wood rather than veneer coverings. We also encourage customers to order our free samples of the finishes so they can be seen in natural light. Although we provide clear examples of the finishes, they way in which you view them may vary depending on what you use to view a website image, the contrast and tones may vary for each devise. The sheets are advertised as fitting mattresses of approx. 30cm - 32cm deep. We had high hopes with the platform bed we purchased and were really impressed when the bed came, the wood quality and ease to put together (my husband is an experienced carpenter). Unfortunately it’s the squeakiest bed I’ve ever had. The frame creaks just turning over in the night. We are waiting until we move now and we will fit braces across the corner to permanently fix this issue. Far from ideal, I wouldn’t recommend or buy again.

Bed looks nice, and everything was present and correct in the delivery, but genuinely quite disappointed in the build quality, which was pretty rough and ready. The central beam was cheap pine and arrived warped out of the box so had to be forced into place, even carefully using the pilot holes it then sat most of a centimetre proud of the bed so had to modify where the screws went. I don't know why this couldn't be glulam like the other important components, nor why the pilot holes were in the wrong place. The lengthwise slat that sat on top of it had a severely misaligned pilot hole at the other end as well, which barely met up with the piece of wood it was supposed to screw into, and was visibly way off centre so shouldn't have passed even the most cursory of quality checks... pics attached. These were all fixable faults and it went together well in the end using a little woodwork, but you really shouldn't have to be doing that kind of thing with a £600 bed.

Not very happy with the quality of wood. Lots of scratches and the black varnish is uneven. The headboard is much darker than the other parts to the bed, so it looks like a poor paint job.

The bed itself is ok. I've only given two stars because the instructions are useless. They do not give any dimensions on the position of the hinges and dampers. Because of this the fitting took twice as long as it should have done.

Was so full of anticipation after reading some good reviews. Sadly, this led to an over offering to an under delivery on the bed. My bed came with marks, chips and dents, added to scuffed paintwork. I was only offered £65 on a bed that cost £724 - so I am now waiting a replacement. Not the transaction, quality or service I had hoped for.

The staff in customer service are nice to deal with. Sadly, the product quality and speed and ability to resolve problems make a purchase from here needing consideration. I was sent two faulty beds and the delivery time is fairly slow. There were missing items, damaged items and incorrectly machined parts. There is a fairly involved assembly progress. Compensation for faults was not consistent with issues that needing fixing. Delivery guys were good and polite. Would probably get better value spending elsewhere. Wouldn’t use them again.

I won’t buy bed from this company anymore. Bed quality okay but delivery was awful. Left bed in middle of the room without being assembles because they were “late to go back home” (They finish at 4pm). Rude!

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately when the team arrived your old bed was still occupying the room of choice. The team are unable to disassemble your old furniture, the room needs be clear for them to assemble your new bed. They were unable to wait any longer for you to disassemble the old furniture as this would delay all other customers on their delivery route and, due to the nature of their role, the team have strict driving hours. The decision was made to deliver the partly assembled bed and issue you a refund for the assembly service which was unable to take place at the time due to the rooms condition. The bed was fine but I was very disappointed with the quality of the drawer under the bed. The pieces of wood were not all the correct length which made it very difficult to put together. In addition the instructions were really hard to follow and there weren’t enough screws. When I called customer service to complain I was told I’d have to take pictures of the pieces of even though I explained it had already been wood. If you are looking for something which is easy to put together, I would suggest looking for an alternative.

Our bed was delivered on time no problem, and I even managed to change the delivery date at short notice. But things went down bill quickly after delivery when we discovered there were no instructions or screws in the boxes. After contacting customer service they agreed to send it out on 24 hour courier but it unfortunately took 2 days to arrive and we soon discovered they had sent out the wrong instructions with the wrong screws! By this point we have missed the window to get the bed assembled by the weekend for our kids. When I contacted customer service (again) to make a complaint and ask for the screws to be urgently delivered it had been 6 days since delivery. By the time we (hopefully) receive the correct screws it will over a week! I was not offered any compensation after the first mistake. By the second mistake I pushed again and the offered me a small refund. The only reason this review is not a 1 star is because the original delivery was one time! And they agreed to at least a small token of good will. But Disappointing customer service overall given the amount of money the beds cost.
