There was an issue with my delivery (box missing) which was solved by the lovely Amy, however there was a significant delay in getting that final box. This caused me quite a few problems and inconveniences. Additionally the bed arrived with dents from transportation, which was disappointing especially as I was so tired of dealing with the delivery issues already. The bed itself is beautiful and great quality, I love the look of it. However all of these issues have upset me quite a bit and make the premium price I paid not feel worth it.

The instructions to assemble the bed are very difficult to understand. Also we could not put our bed against the wall, as the headboard has sharp metal edges and it scratched our wall which we will have to now re-paint. The bed itself is nice however for the price, the headboard design and assembly instructions are disappointing. The Tokyo storage bed with headboard should be supplied with a headboard cover to prevent the walls being scratched. I requested one however was only offered free postage rather than a complimentary headboard cover and was advised to keep the bed away from the wall which was a bit disappointing as makes the bedroom smaller.

The bed itself was fine but I thought it was expensive only to find that 2 weeks after I placed my order they reduced the same bed by £100. Really annoying especially advert refused to reimburse any money when I asked them.

I bought 2 single beds. The quality of the oak panels is good and well made. The slats are not oak. The admin was poor - the assembly team did not show up because the administrator did not process this part of my order. One of the slats could not be nailed across the bed because the holes were not positioned in the correct place. Sadly your company needs to be a bit more reliable.

It’s a mixed review for Get Laid Beds. Overall I’d say their customer service is good, but their product is quite poor considering the price. You expect quality when spending £1000 on a bed frame, and to be fair, the main timber components are as advertised. The details let it down. The tenon joints are loose, and inadequately fixed with screws. The result is a squeaky, rickety bed that I’ve had to spend time and money upgrading with proper brackets, reinforcements and fixings. Initially they also sent the wrong slats and insufficient screws. The phone operator was very helpful and arranged for replacements, but we had to wait another few days for them. You come to a company like this willing to spend a bit more for quality and attention to detail, but the product is no better than one of the big chain brands. Overall I can’t recommend.

Service was good, delivery was on time but quality of the bed was below expectation, wood was low quality with lots of knots and some splits. Assembly holes were not aligned, quite a lot of variance which wasn't fully explained in the assembley instructions so you're never sure if the dimensions of the pieces are correct? Worst part was the poor assembley instructions which I was very dissapointed with. Assembley illustrations didn't have details needed to identify which part was which, little to no text descriptions. incorrect measurements of hardwear so on some stages it was unclear if they had provided the correct hardwear, which made it unecesarily difficult to build, wasted time and almost felt like it had been written by AI or just not tested by anyone internally...which for the price you would expect as a minimum? For example there was an illustration of one of their planks which I assumed had multiple holes drilled throughout...turns out this didn't correlate to any of the pieces and might have actually just been an illustration of a plank with knots in it. Why this was illustrated I have no clue. Also given that it's a self assemble piece of furniture I would hope that it can be disassembled in the future to re-install, but because it's all wood screws on softwood it doesn't really feel like theres much consideration around longevity in place. Having said all that, the bed feels solid, but I wouldn't recommend the pine option or the self assembly.

I've built the bed and it seems to be fine but the delivery service Get Laid use is appalling. Furdeco were meant to deliver both bed and mattress on the Monday. Mattress didn't come. Then it was promised Wednesday, I changed plans for this. It didn't come even after the promised it would. I then requested the mattress be delivered 11-am-1pm on the Friday and they agree. It arrived 2pm on the Friday and they refused to help me carry it up the stairs so it is now stuck in my hallway. Appalling.

Kensington double bed, mattress, cover and fitted sheet. Booked Saturday delivery but bed didn't turn up till Sunday with no mattress. Mattress delivered Monday. I have received a refund for £29 del charge after 2 nights sleeping on floor. Bed assembled OK although hard to get headboard planks to sit flat on bed frame. Had to re drill screw holes through frame so screws are loose fit and don't push planks away from frame when tightened. Also used 2 large G clamps to hold flat whilst being screwed. The 2 end slats are very tight in frame and they creak loudly because of tightness, will have to trim them down if they don't improve. Small cut whole in middle of fitted sheet, I will mend this rather than go to the trouble of returning. Bit of a shame as with a bit of basic carpentry it's a good bed. I think the couriers are over worked and very stressed.

The mattress is poor with no protector. Very thin and not worth the money.

Lovely looking bed. Instructions were not for the bed I bought, named differently and gave me wrong instructions to build. Common sense said to flip the middle bar so slats could sit flat. A king bed ordered and a king mattress got from a well known company and the bed is too wide for the mattress and you can see the base slats which looks awful. Customer service said it’s the correct size. Mattress company said theirs is correct so somewhere along the line something is going wrong. Would I buy it again… no, because the gaps either side look awful. In my opinion the sides should hug the bed. Slight dent/scratch on side strut.

Order arrived late despite paying for express delivery. Denied a refund as they state this fee is only is for express production. Denied refund despite bed arriving days after it would have had I not opted for Express. Quality is not very good - one of the exterior pieces arrived covered in a sticky adhesive that I had to spend an hour cleaning off. They don't provide enough slats FYI which I have needed to buy separately. Currently with the ones they've given me there is gaps up to 12cm which will ruin a mattress and mattress warranty. Not impressed at all and wish I had went with a competitor. Poor quality for the money spent

I have 2 other Kingsize beds from Get Laid Beds earlier, which are still in use and were very satisfied with them, however the 2 single beds received this time are of significant lower quality in engineering. The headboard pillers have some mesurement issues where the side rails are about 5-7 mm nrrower at the headboard side compared to footboard. To an extent, that the slats had to be literally forced in between the side rails in the headboard side and have 5 mm gaps at the footboard side. Anyway, we somehow managed to assemble them but disappointed as a returning customer.

Abysmal instructions & poor attention to detail made this a stressful assembly. None of the wooden parts have any labels / numbers or anything so you have to go by the instructions, which are bad - only pictures so no words to assist, the print quality was poor as well which didn't help with some of the (already sparse) detail. Worse - multiple parts were not drilled correctly or where things needed to go was ambiguous- it took maybe twice as long to assemble. Centre plank - this (I hope) sits along the middle vertical plank that holds the head and foot ends together - The plank is longer than those it sits on... but the insturctions indicate it is the same length, I've guessed it needs to be equal end sticking out. Instructions indicated using 3 screws down the middle but there were no pilot drills. The foot end part had no hole drilled on one end of it. The other one was unfinished (not countersunk). Some of the slats were not drilled, or not all the way through. The holes for the headboard (several, on a pattern to match a metal bracket which fits between the bed base and the headboard) were drilled on the outside, not the inside (where the bracket should mount) of the side rails. these were several holes that a metal bracket fixes to, and there is no other way the rails go around (one side is the outside of the bed, and the other side has a recess to allow the slats forming the bed base in it). So these holes are visible, and I had to work out / clamp the mounting etc. to get the headboard on. For the headboard there are some black screws? these are not usual wood screws with a countsunk head and I assume these are for the headboard where they mount to the metal frame - instructions have pictures of the same screws as the rest of the build - not even coloured black, or a note. You just need to guess? Does nobody assemble these at home? To be honest, I'm still not 100% sure this is built properly as it creakes rather more than I'd like when getting in / out of bed. I ordered 2 of the underbed storage options - mecifully the instructions were quite a lot better and I think there was only one part that wasn't drilled properly. In all - if I'd known how the quality issues before spending a few hours assembling this, (after removing my old bed, of course) I would have sent it back. For around £1K things should be properly finished, and the instructions should be accurate - this was like all the things people hate about flat pack furniture. It looks nice and it's comfortable to sleep on, but next time I'll go to Ikea.

Bought Oxford bed with adjustable bed base and the (only available) recommended adjustable mattress for disabled friend. Bed base is fine (bought one previously) . Extremely unhappy with the mattress. It is way too thick. This makes transfer into the bed very difficult. It does not conform properly so it throws off deep fitted sheets every day, not good if you are disabled. In addition the fat mattress makes the bed look hideous.

Positives: Nice wood and quality finish. Negatives: The bed is narrower than advertised so the mattress overhangs on both sides making it impossible to sit or sleep on sides. Will likely ruin the mattress eventually. While Assembely is easy, it's near impossible to properly align the slats. OCD mans nightmare. Would have been nice if some markers or indentations were made in the frame.

Hello Milan, Thank you for the feedback. I can see you bought a spacesaver frame so this sounds like it is the correct design. However if the overhang seems to be too much could you please send us some photographs and measurements to hello@getlaidbeds.co.uk Once we have received this our customer service team will assist. The bed was easy to put together but the finish on the pieces was pretty poor, scratches on the wood and pieces splintered off, a shabby finish for a bed on the pricey side.

Very dissapointed. Shopped around for a higher end quality bed as get laid beds claims to be. Bed delivered but with large crack on one bedpost, which had been painted over. Also other minor marks and knocks to wood. Had to wait 4 hours for customer service to let me know next steps, no apologies other than to say this isn't the quality they expect. New bedpost has been sent but no expedited delivery so looking at over a week now. I wasn't prepared to put bed together only to have to disassemble again for new part as it never goes back properly second time. Been sleeping on floor now for a week. Overall very dissapointed.

The bed base itself is well made and the instructions made it easy to put together. I ordered the Oxford bed base. Sadly I ordered a mattress which was failed to be delivered. The business wasn’t able to resolve the issue, with communication to say it would be a few days before they could find out what had happened. In the meantime they were unable to order a new mattress to be sent out, which left me with a bed base, nowhere to store that, no mattress and therefore no actual bed. So while the quality of the base is good, I wouldn’t order again as I can’t rely on the order or delivery.

Hello Zara, Thank you for the feedback as this is instrumental in improving our service. After looking through this case I can see that we indeed did have issues with your mattress being lost in transit. I have fed this back to our courier as this was not handled in the correct manner. I can see that a refund was issued and if there was any further issues please do not hesitate to contact our customer service department. The Reviews Team
