Bed looks nice and seems fine (haven’t really used it yet). Assembly was fine too. Problem was delivery, which was the biggest mess I have ever experienced, and just not acceptable in 2025. I can now see, from the 1 star reviews on Trustpilot, that this is not that unusual. You clearly have a massive issue with delivery, so why aren’t you fixing things?

Order arrived late despite paying for express delivery. Denied a refund as they state this fee is only is for express production. Denied refund despite bed arriving days after it would have had I not opted for Express. Quality is not very good - one of the exterior pieces arrived covered in a sticky adhesive that I had to spend an hour cleaning off. They don't provide enough slats FYI which I have needed to buy separately. Currently with the ones they've given me there is gaps up to 12cm which will ruin a mattress and mattress warranty. Not impressed at all and wish I had went with a competitor. Poor quality for the money spent

I expected a lot better for such an expensive bed!

I have 2 other Kingsize beds from Get Laid Beds earlier, which are still in use and were very satisfied with them, however the 2 single beds received this time are of significant lower quality in engineering. The headboard pillers have some mesurement issues where the side rails are about 5-7 mm nrrower at the headboard side compared to footboard. To an extent, that the slats had to be literally forced in between the side rails in the headboard side and have 5 mm gaps at the footboard side. Anyway, we somehow managed to assemble them but disappointed as a returning customer.

Abysmal instructions & poor attention to detail made this a stressful assembly. None of the wooden parts have any labels / numbers or anything so you have to go by the instructions, which are bad - only pictures so no words to assist, the print quality was poor as well which didn't help with some of the (already sparse) detail. Worse - multiple parts were not drilled correctly or where things needed to go was ambiguous- it took maybe twice as long to assemble. Centre plank - this (I hope) sits along the middle vertical plank that holds the head and foot ends together - The plank is longer than those it sits on... but the insturctions indicate it is the same length, I've guessed it needs to be equal end sticking out. Instructions indicated using 3 screws down the middle but there were no pilot drills. The foot end part had no hole drilled on one end of it. The other one was unfinished (not countersunk). Some of the slats were not drilled, or not all the way through. The holes for the headboard (several, on a pattern to match a metal bracket which fits between the bed base and the headboard) were drilled on the outside, not the inside (where the bracket should mount) of the side rails. these were several holes that a metal bracket fixes to, and there is no other way the rails go around (one side is the outside of the bed, and the other side has a recess to allow the slats forming the bed base in it). So these holes are visible, and I had to work out / clamp the mounting etc. to get the headboard on. For the headboard there are some black screws? these are not usual wood screws with a countsunk head and I assume these are for the headboard where they mount to the metal frame - instructions have pictures of the same screws as the rest of the build - not even coloured black, or a note. You just need to guess? Does nobody assemble these at home? To be honest, I'm still not 100% sure this is built properly as it creakes rather more than I'd like when getting in / out of bed. I ordered 2 of the underbed storage options - mecifully the instructions were quite a lot better and I think there was only one part that wasn't drilled properly. In all - if I'd known how the quality issues before spending a few hours assembling this, (after removing my old bed, of course) I would have sent it back. For around £1K things should be properly finished, and the instructions should be accurate - this was like all the things people hate about flat pack furniture. It looks nice and it's comfortable to sleep on, but next time I'll go to Ikea.

Bought Oxford bed with adjustable bed base and the (only available) recommended adjustable mattress for disabled friend. Bed base is fine (bought one previously) . Extremely unhappy with the mattress. It is way too thick. This makes transfer into the bed very difficult. It does not conform properly so it throws off deep fitted sheets every day, not good if you are disabled. In addition the fat mattress makes the bed look hideous.

Positives: Nice wood and quality finish. Negatives: The bed is narrower than advertised so the mattress overhangs on both sides making it impossible to sit or sleep on sides. Will likely ruin the mattress eventually. While Assembely is easy, it's near impossible to properly align the slats. OCD mans nightmare. Would have been nice if some markers or indentations were made in the frame.

Hello Milan, Thank you for the feedback. I can see you bought a spacesaver frame so this sounds like it is the correct design. However if the overhang seems to be too much could you please send us some photographs and measurements to hello@getlaidbeds.co.uk Once we have received this our customer service team will assist. The bed was easy to put together but the finish on the pieces was pretty poor, scratches on the wood and pieces splintered off, a shabby finish for a bed on the pricey side.

Very dissapointed. Shopped around for a higher end quality bed as get laid beds claims to be. Bed delivered but with large crack on one bedpost, which had been painted over. Also other minor marks and knocks to wood. Had to wait 4 hours for customer service to let me know next steps, no apologies other than to say this isn't the quality they expect. New bedpost has been sent but no expedited delivery so looking at over a week now. I wasn't prepared to put bed together only to have to disassemble again for new part as it never goes back properly second time. Been sleeping on floor now for a week. Overall very dissapointed.

The bed base itself is well made and the instructions made it easy to put together. I ordered the Oxford bed base. Sadly I ordered a mattress which was failed to be delivered. The business wasn’t able to resolve the issue, with communication to say it would be a few days before they could find out what had happened. In the meantime they were unable to order a new mattress to be sent out, which left me with a bed base, nowhere to store that, no mattress and therefore no actual bed. So while the quality of the base is good, I wouldn’t order again as I can’t rely on the order or delivery.

Hello Zara, Thank you for the feedback as this is instrumental in improving our service. After looking through this case I can see that we indeed did have issues with your mattress being lost in transit. I have fed this back to our courier as this was not handled in the correct manner. I can see that a refund was issued and if there was any further issues please do not hesitate to contact our customer service department. The Reviews Team

This is the 3rd bed from Get Laid and if it had been the 1st, there wouldn't have been two more. I had to complete the manufacturing process for them with ill-fitting headboard pieces where I had to re-drill what were slightly mis-aligned screw holes. A rubber mallet was bought to help and finally I had to buy a special drill bit to complete the rebates for two raised washers, photos of the "before" and "after" are attached that shows the impression that Get Laid left without actually cutting into the leg. What had taken a maximum of 3 hours for each of the earlier beds took instead the best part of two days including B&Q visits. On the positive side I now own a rubber mallet.

The wood looks nice but the quality control is terrible. 80% of the holes were in the wrong places, some of the wood panels were warped, other panels that were supposed to be labelled so you knew where to put them were not, and there were multiple errors in the instructions. The flat pack design was also needlessly complicated. For example, the under bed storage unit - a simple box shape without a lid - contained 16 pieces of wood, and took me well over an hour to complete. It bothers me when a company goes on about their products being hand crafted in Britain by their expert craftsmen in their wood workshop when the quality of the product is this bad. It's obviously all marketing guff, and no expert craftsmen were found here. I give two stars because once you've finally put the bed together after drilling your own holes and deciding the unfathomable instructions, the end result does look quite nice. Worth £850 for a small double bed frame, under bed storage box and a side shelf (literally a piece of wood with a bracket on it for £70)? For me, no. Hopefully it stays in one piece for many years to come so we can get good use from it.

The parts of the bed are well finished Nearly all parts of the bed are well made and connect one to the other The plans are vague, images very poor WE CANNOT ATTACH THE 4 x GAS STRUT BRACKETS because they are too big. Please take bed back and refund or asap send appropriate size, (narrower) Gas Strut fixtures Thank you

I ordered my bed on June 27. It’s July 17 and I have not received it. I know (hope) the bed will be a quality item because I have bought one before. But the delivery has been wanting.

Hello, I am sorry to see the experience you have had with us and our courier. I can see there were some issues with the transport of the bed from mainland UK across to Northern Ireland. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and I will make sure to look through each failing so we can improve our service all round. The Review Team

Incorrect instructions (upsidedown bed slats are instructed so the mattress has nothing to nestle into). This is annoying and has surely been complained about before. The bed frame itself is nice though. The mattress quality is not the best and came in quite lumpy, even though it's a spring mattress and didn't get delivered rolled up. I'm quite disappointed overall.

Only half of the order arrived, now I have to waith almost three weeks for the rest of the delivery because of travelling and work commitments. I live in a studio flat and the boxes of the first batch of the order are scattered around the studio for the time being. Not very pleasant.

It is disappointing that the company do not offer an assembly service and the instruction sheet was almost incomprehensible, however following the labeling on the bed (which was not identified on the instruction sheet) worked and ithe bed assembled well. The mattress however is dire. Far too soft, it feels like you are lying in a canyon. The mattress costing over £1.000 will have to be replaced almost immediately, for something former.

Like the look of the finished bed, but it was an incredibly difficult job to assemble it and the instructions were not helpful. Customer service was not helpful in advising on delivery options - wouldn’t pass delivery info on to the courier- and resolving a failed delivery.
