I really wanted to add to your 5 star reviews because i absolutely love the concept of hand crafted British made beds. I especially loved the opportunity to choose low space saver beds as our teenage son suffers with seizures and periods of immobility which make a low level bed far safer for him. He was very happy and excited to choose and order his bed from getlaidbeds and because I wanted it to be perfect for him we had arranged for the bed to be constructed by the delivery team. The delivery happened on the morning as planned but unfortunately the slats it came with had been cut 2cm too long and so the build could not go ahead. We were left with the frame and a promise that slats would be prioritised and customer services would be in touch. However we would now be waiting for monday for the slats to be courier delivered and we would be waiting even longer if we wanted the bed to be built. Not wanting my son to need to wait any longer for the bed, i decided i would build the bed myself once the slats arrived. The build cost of £70 would be refunded. However monday came and by 2.30 i hadn’t heard from anyone notifying me of a time to expect the courier so i called Getlaidbeds customer services. It seemed another error had occurred with the courier and now i would be waiting till tuesday for the slats. Each person i spoke to at the company has been polite but i do feel disappointed by our experience..As yet i am unable to review the bed.

The bed is OK, but for the price I expected better. However, only 18 of 90 (20%) of the screws and screw cups were delivered. I was offered next day delivery for the missing hardware, which meant completion of my son's bedroom would be delayed (bearing in mind everything was timed for during school half term), or I could purchase the hardware myself up to the value of £10. Because there was so many missing, the hardware cost ~£15 and additional compensation has been declined. So, I recommend you don't plan to build any Get Laid Beds product on the day of delivery, or, be prepared for a trip to screwfix and some unexpected costs, frustration and admin.

When ordeing the bed I specified a date as this was a present for my son. Upon delivery only 3 of the 4 parcels turned up. The 4th was lost. It took a lot of emails, phone calls and messages to GLB and Panther. I also had to escalate this within GLB as the responses given were poor. I did manage to get it delivered within the week, but sadly not in time for the birthday. The quality is good, and it was easy to put together. Not sure I would put myself through this again.

There are evident chips in the woodwork. We haven’t built the bed yet but theywere there on delivery. The delivery men were friendly and helpful.

Bed arrived on time, looks like on the images on-line, looks reasonably well made. The frame is too big for a standard king mattress, and there are gaps through which slats are seen on both sides . This is a rather disappointing. The mattress is bang on 150cm width, and the bed is 160 cm. Vexing.

Recently bought ottoman bed - double. We have a 38cm mattress so time will tell if the ottoman bed can withstand this. I've noticed the ottoman bed doesn't stay up and first when it's lifted, but does if I persist? There's no mention of maximum weight or mattress thickness so I thought it would be okay. Let's see..

Happy with bed think it is over priced , also very poor assembly instructions , I worked it out in the end but start to finish was 3 hours

Very disappointed with the initial courier service. Having been advised we needed to stay in for 12 hours to wait for the delivery with no indication of a more specific time slot on the day, my partner had to take the day off work to wait for the bed to arrive. This would have been fine (if a little annoying) only for the delivery to never arrive with no phone call or other communication to tell us the order was delayed. It then arrived the next day just left outside the property. On querying where the delivery was and putting in a complaint I never heard anything back about where our delivery was. I am expecting a refund of the delivery fee at the very least for this poor service. Aside from this the bed is perfect and excellent quality. Just a shame about the customer service and poor delivery service.

Delivery was a day later than what was arranged, and the bed arrived with no screws for the planks. Apart from this everything is acceptable, although I went into this purchase with high expectations due to hearing about the apparent exceptional quality of the company from word of mouth, this was not so much the case. I am satisfied with the purchase although a little discouraged from purchasing again in the future.

I bought the ottoman bed king size two months ago and we were very excited about it. Building it wasn't hard at all but some of the pre-done holes didn't fit with the little wooden attachments and honestly, if I'm paying such a big amount this shouldn't happen. But I let it pass. Now the bed has started to squick, as I said, it's two months old. The whole mattress is resting in those wooden squares that are not even straight because the wholes weren't put in place.

Overall quality seems good. Bed assembly is simple and clearly guided. Only hiccups where when I found myself short of a 60mm screw because one was unusable and also short of 5 washers… sorry to say but that never happened to me with IKEA…

I have a mixed review for the bed I bought. The bed came on the agreed day with no delays and customer service was helpful. On receiving and start assembling it I started notching a lot of imperfections on the wood. Small chips, glue residue, some rough unpolished areas and then the big issue came when I saw that one of the bed legs was not matching the other three. It was from same wood but probably another part/different batch. I spoke to customer service but they advised it can’t be changed as it is not “faulty”. Otherwise the bed frame looks overall nice if I don’t pay attention to details and it is sturdy. So overall, for the price I payed I was expecting a better attention to detail. An average overall feedback. Reading previous reviews I was expecting somewhat better standards and my expectations were high.

Overall ok. Not completely sure on the QC of the bed. Joints were not as good as the price suggested and the finish was not perfect on the 'non best face' areas. Assembly intruction for the Oxford failed to note front to back supports are 'handed' which needed a bit of thought. Under bed storage is overly time consuming to assemble given the cost. Pre assembled would have a been a nice, easy quality touch for the smaller units chosen.

I purchased a four poster super king bed. While the bed is very sturdy one of the posts was split a good few inches at the top but they were very helpful

Very nice bed but the assembly was extremely difficult!! Screws did not go in unless we used so much force. The assembly took us over 3 hours! Really disappointing in that respect.

We unfortunately had an emergency and had to be at the hospital the day of the delivery, therefore missed it. Despite force majeure circumstances, the company insisted on having us pay another delivery fee. Any other company would have tried at least one more time before charging for failed delivery, and the reason we missed would be understandable to most considerate people. I feel I was taken advantage of in a time of difficulty, and will consider this experience in the future.

The bed is well made but the headboard and under-bed storage unit finishes are a disappointment. They don't look the same as they do online. I guess this is a hazard of buying online. We are going to have to get them sprayed. The installation of the beds went well.

The purchase process over the phone was smooth and I was expertly helped by Ellie. We did arrange for assembly, and I asked if the assembly team might help to bring the old bed down. Although this is not guaranteed, I was assured that they wouldn't mind. Not so! The delivery team was rude. Although the bed was set up quickly and well, the 2 person delivery team left without asking for a signature or even bothering to say goodbye. We came down to an open front door to a busy with the delivery van gone!
