“The bed is fantastic, the delivery was awful. We’re so pleased with the bed that has been provided to us, but it was very much overshadowed by the mess with the courier. Firstly we were given a 2 hour window, which we planned our day around; the courier arrived 2 hours early, so we had to rush home from a breakfast we’d just bought. The courier then refused to deliver the mattress to our room, despite there not being an angle greater than 45 degrees, which was the criteria provided for not delivering. My wife and I had to get the mattress and frame up the stairs to the bedroom, instead of trained professionals. It’s a shame to see such quality bedmanship paired with such poor service.”

“The wood material is lovely and it was easy to put together However the bed is incredibly noisy and we have had to put towels at the back to protect the wall as there were parts missing as protectors for the screws should have been provided. It feels flimsy and moves and therefore we are having to try and secure it ourselves Disappointing for the price”

“The bed is solid and customer service has been fantastic (very quick) however I was not expecting to have to build the bed entirely from scratch. I expected a headboard and footboard to be pre made and then I would just need to add the sides on and the base however I had to make the headboard and footboard myself as well. Having spent over £1000 I can't say I'm thrilled as it felt more like an IKEA experience.”

“The product is of high quality. Very easy to put together and I expect years of use. The reason for the three stars is the shipping company. I used the wrong post code and when the bed did not show on the designated day I called Get Laid Beds. They were very helpful and we immediately solved the problem with FedEx. It took FedEx three additional days to deliver the packages,they tore open one of the boxes,and just dropped the product off in our driveway. No knocking on the door to let us know they had finally delivered the packages. I have used FedEx in the USA countless times and they are fantastic. They are poor here in the UK and would use any other delivery service available such as DPD.”

“Felt the website should have given more information on putting the bed together plus what tools were needed. Also think a little more help could be given eg on my old bed all the slats were taped together so screws only had to be inserted at the ends and in the middle. Here every slat had to be screwed individually with no markings where they should go. It would have been better if fittings had been inserted into the wood to make construction easier rather than having to use brute force to get screws in. Blisters will take some time to heal!”

“Bed base and mattress good Unfortunately the mattress protector was the wrong size, a little disappointed as I then had to drive to your office to collect the right one although I had paid for delivery. Having one sent by post when we are local seemed a bit of a faff”

“The product is good value though there is room for improvement in regard to fit and finish. The bed I purchased was delivered in two lots with several days between the two drops. That was a poor start.”

“Bed frames arrive nicely packaged - no damage to packaging a number of parts of the bed frame arrived quite damaged - not sure how they could possibly have passed inspection. Bed frames are solid and robust, fairly easy to construct.”

“The bed itself is fine, but I specifcally ordered your bed because it showed black screws were used. Mine did not come with black screws but I had no time to request them as the bed was needed immediately. I also specifically ordered the mattress from you so it would fit the bed. In fact, it's an extremely tight fit which means making the bed takes a lot more effort. I've got used to the screws not blending in, but I regret the mattress fit every time I make the bed as the mattress is very heavy. Had I seen the fit before buying, I would not have bought your mattress. The bed is used for Airbnb guests and I'm 78 with a heart condition. I could really do without having to wrestle the sheets onto the mattress everytime.”

“The bed looks nice, but it is different from the picture on the website. When ordering the "Platform Storage Bed," I expected it to come with the under-bed drawers shown in the online photos. To my surprise, a bed costing £400 arrived without any drawers at all. It turns out that each drawer costs an additional £99. I feel misled by the product description and images, and I am not entirely satisfied with the customer service.”

“There were issues with the delivery that I was not notified about, which lead to me taking a day off work for my dleivery, which did not come. Then having a frustrating series of phone calls trying to resolve the situation. Eventually the bed was able to be delivered the next morning. When the bed arrived there were a few pieces with some minor damage. Not great for the price of the bed.”

“I'm a little conflicted here. The bed itself is beautiful, well made and sturdy and looks great in my room. However, I had a bit of difficulty putting it together. It would have helped massively if the pieces had any indication of where they should fit. The parts were not marked as per the documentation, the frame had no indication of where to fit the slats, and worst of all the (Deco) headboard had no markings at all to guide where the frame should be attached. It was all solved by my getting out a tape measure and ruler, which is fine (the headboard is a little off centre but I have decided thats a quirk) but would have been much much easier if markings on the pieces had been provided.”

“Firstly there was no option to book a engineer when placing the order, secondly when the parts arrived all the screws for the posts and slats were missing, thirdly 2 of the slats did not fit and we had to cut these down. As we are awaiting our mattress we are yet to complete the ottoman assembly, so hopefully there are no further issues. Also it should also be noted that the bed is not completely black as shown in the website pictures, so overall not highly impressed and would not recommend to others.”

“It was not made clear how much effort was going to be needed to construct the bed i.e. the headboard and tailboard were not single pieces, this bed is truly a flat pack of many pieces all needing to be assembled.”

“I wish I could give 5 stars but they had to come out three times before they could put my bed together. In the end it looks great and I love it. I think they have some communication issues within the company though.”

“Strong study bed but the paintwork was disappolnting. It had lots of pitmarks on most of the paintwork. We had to try and put the best of the panels where they would be seen, and use others elsewhere which wasn't always possible.”
