“We love the look and feel of Get Laid Beds, and, for self-assembly, they are relatively easy to construct. The customer service is excellent - quick response, a real person to talk to, adaptable and helpful. The only downside is we have had a couple of little faults in the wood of the two beds we have ordered - a large splinter was on the recent one. The company always replaces which is great - so its just the extra hassle.”

“I have bought 3 beds from here over the years, so overall I am happy. Some small paint blemishes on this last one, maybe more obvious in white than other finishes... Generally straightforward assembly but I do think the instructions would benefit from adding text instructions step by step. Also, having just built this 3rd bed from scratch I now realised that the second one I got, 2 years ago, must have been partly assembled then taken apart as I can now see that the headboard panels were not put together snuggly enough. The headboard had come fully assembled so I didn't know at the time. I think if you are selling something that has been assembled and then maybe returned to you, you need to at least check that the assembly is good.”

“Pleased with final result, however self assembly instructions were not clear. Not impressed with delivery company - we selected a date. Late on chosen date we were told delivery would be 3 days later. Then the following day bed frame delivered with hardly any notice.”

“The quality of this bed is excellent. The wood wash colour is not as dark as I would like. An option to go darker would be perfect. We'll pain it ourselves now, as this was not an option. Also delivery company would not enter the house. Bit ridiculous when you're on your own.”

“Great products that live up to their promises, however the assembly instructions were pretty poor and the showroom was a bit pointless as they only had double beds on show.”

“The quality of materials is pretty decent, but the instructions provided with the bed could have been a lot better. They're printed out on A4 paper with grainy black and white images and look like they've come out of a cheap printer. If you're spending £1,000+ you'd expect this to be a bit better. It did make the overall experience of putting it together a bit frustrating.”

“Good quality solid beds however one star lost because of poor delivery, 2 out of 8 boxes arrived 5 days later. This isn't acceptable. I was told this was unusual by customer service team but it's clearly not as other reviews have mentioned issues too. Get Laid Beds are the ones who choose their 3rd party suppliers for their deliveries so it is very much in their control to set SLAs and manage them if they are consistently failing to meet the set standards. Offering a refund of the £29 delivery doesn't really make up for the inconvenience and stress to customers, far better to use a reliable courier and charge for it.”

“Bed is fantastic, very well made and sturdy. Delivery was on time. Instructions for assembly could have been much better. A spare part was included in the package and this was not made clear which was very confusing.”

“Very pleased with the company itself. I had to correct something about my order and the lady on the phone was accomodating, which was a relief given the expense a new bed is! I also like the range of beds available, which meant that we went for the Oxford bed. Finally, the free samples were good to have an idea of what would work in our bedrooms. My only piece of criticism, where things could be improved, is on the quality checks. There were parts of our bed that had a small dent, or the paint had bubbled (thankfully on the back of the headboard rather than the front), or there were spots of wood not covered in paint. That I wasn't very impressed by, as had I actually checked for quality for Get Laid Beds, I would have flagged this and sent back to the warehouse to correct. Since the defaults were small and the bed looked good overall, we left it at that.”

“The bed is of really a good quality, well made and arrived promptly as advised. I would definitely have given it five stars were it not for the obscene amount of plastic used to wrap the mattress. Three layers of really thick plastic sheeting, which I've done my best to recycle responsibly, but there needs to be a rethink about how the mattresses are transported, for the sake of the environment.”

“We are really pleased with our new four poster bed and it was made and delivered really quickly. The assembly did take us the majority of a day but it was straightforward enough once we understood the instructions. One thing I would say is the posters do feel quite rough and we will need to sand them slightly to prevent splinters/cuts etc.”
