“Great price and quick delivery. 40 mm slate was more stone like than I expected (rather than thin slate) but that may be my expectations that were wrong as I don't buy this stuff very often. Anyway it does the job and the price and delivery speed was excellent.”

“Delivery driver was incredibly rude. Even swearing in front of my 2 year old daughter. The turf is satisfactory, though and doing well, despite being laid in this cold weather, it has been down a week and is now beginning to root. One roll was a bit naff and fell apart when we unfurled it, but we used this where small pieces were unavoidable between full rolls to patch.”

“The quality and quantity of the soil was excellent. However, I was very concerned for the health and safety of the lone courier ( the company had been outsourced) as he did not have the correct lifting equipment to move 2 large bags and as result my husband had to help him. Someone could have been badly injured. I would suggest that outsourced delivery firms are assessed and monitored for the suitability to carry out the job appropriately.”

“I did not order turf I ordered 20mm Golden Gravel. The product is as described and the delivery charge was very reasonable. It is worth noting that Grasslands sell gravel in 1000kg bags, whilst others sell 850kg bags for a similar price. The delivery driver was extremely helpful, taking his time to place the gravel to my instructions and to make it easier for spreading.”

“I ordered a ton of the blue/purple 40mm slate stones on 16 September, for £87, by far the cheapest price I had managed to source anywhere. They were set to be delivered within 3-5 days. The 3-5 days came and went without a delivery, then after the 7th day, I received an email apologising for the delay as they had run out. They now had more in stock and would deliver the following day. The delivery man arrived as promised with my stones, which are fabulous. They shimmer when wet and look amazing in my garden. I would definitely use this company again as they provide excellent value for money.”

“Order wasn't delivered on day requested and paid for. Not enough notice for change of delivery date. Which has resulted in two tonnes of stones being left on pavement until my husbands next day off.”

“The quality of the soil cannot be faulted. The delivery was made a day early despite my request on booking however thankfully our builders were on site to assist. The delivery driver was not provided with adequate MHE to move the 2 x 1.5 tonne bags and she was going to return to her depot to return the load. The load was also loaded poorly onto the delivery lorry preventing easy removal with the small palletiser available. Our builders assisted the driver with both off loading and locating the load on our drive however without them I do not think the delivery would have been completed. I was disappointed that the forklift promised during the placing of my order was not available. I am grateful that my builders were on hand to assist the delivery driver with her task and find it poor that she was on her own and not provided with the capability to unload her vehicle without help from others.”

“The delivery came exactly when the email had said it would. The driver was very courteous and dropped the load just where requested. The quality and price of the product is really impressive and we have already placed a second order for more of the same product - it really has given great definition to all of the plants and shrubs in our borders and is a great help in controlling slugs and weeds”

“Delivery of the gravel excellent the driver dropped it exactly where I wanted , only downside is I had to contact them to find out what time the delivery slot was , apart from that brill good value for money so much so I have ordered some more gravel from there”

“The service was excellent when ordering. The young lady I spoke to was helpful and polite. I was able to arrange next day delivery. The top soil itself was of excellent quantity. Only two issues I would raise. Firstly, it would be nice to have had a call advising when the delivery was going to be. We waited in all day until the delivery at about 3pm. Also, because there is a forklift attached to the delivery van I was able to get the soil where I wanted it. Sadly, the driver did not advise me what a mess the fork lift would make of my lawn. It really tore the lawn up. I would have left it on the drive if I knew what a mess the machine would make of the lawn. However, overall the service was great.”
