Can't deliver Monday because we cut on a Monday and deliver on a Tuesday...... days later..we might deliver Monday...how can you do that...we will cut very early Monday.....but I am organised for Tuesday...ok we will deliver Tuesday.....of course truck arrives Monday and when turf is examined it clearly was cut the previous Thursday or Friday. Grasslands do not seem to understand that CUSTOMERS are not stupid and nobody likes glib fairy stories. The reason I would recommend but with caution is that the price is right and they can deliver with a forklift which others cannot do.

Ordered a ton of "golden gravel", after having a sample sent to us by post, and it seems that very ordinary gravel turned up.

Turf sent by carrier not their own transport. Driver could not move the pellets off the truck. 2 of my builders assisted and evan then it was a struggle. How the driver could of delivered on his own I have no idea. When speaking to Grasslands they insisted they deliver like this all the time!!

Kerb side delivery was not helpful for slate chippings. Order blue slate but looks just ordinary uninteresting grey. Emailed to say not happy with colour but not even a courteous response received.

To begin we got a 3-5 day window for delivery with no update when the gravel we ordered would be delivered. When we called on day 4 we were told today or tomorrow but that was of course because we were on day 4 of our delivery time. When the delivery an showed up with a 1 ton bag of gravel, he had only a pallet jack and would just drop it outside his truck and that was it. Therefore we had a 1 ton bag of gravel on the pavement. The bag blocked the pavement as well as the drive we share with our neighbours who had to get out of their drive in 45 minutes. Them the gravel looked nothing like the photos on the site. Would I recommend? 110% No. Who uses a delivery truck that can barely get it off the truck.

I'm happy with my purchase but not the delivery. It was a 1000kg builders bag of slate chippings. The driver had what looked like a hand operated fork lift, which was supposedly meant to handle 2000 kgs. This could hardly get the bag off the pallet truck never mind move it onto my drive. I was a bit annoyed when the bag had to be abandoned in my drive. Which meant that my 2 car drive was now a one car awkward to get onto drive. I complained to Grasslands Turf that they should use a delivery method which could properly handle the weight and they had no interest at all and stopped talking to me completely!

The product itself was excellent but I paid £15 for 1 day delivery and not only did I not receive the delivery but no-one from Grasslands Turf or the courier company notified me that I would not be receiving the delivery. I had to make multiple calls to chase the delivery and received it a day late. I was then refused a refund on the delivery charge.

Product was good, delivery on time although unlike some companies, they cant get things to you within a couple of days. They sell the same products on a national website >30% more expensive than on a local website and I don't think its treating the customer fairly. There is no difference other than the website. It's sharp practice and they should be embarrassed.

I have purchased at least 4 lots of bissetti bamboos from grasslands in the past 2 months, each plant is different but the last lot of 35litre bamboos was very flimsy as the leaves had fallen off, the pots appear to have not been watered for a long time and were dry, many new shoots(3 shoots in 1 pot) had broken off due to dryness and /0r during transportation. new shots at the root end were too dry to have survived

The delivery company ignored our instructions completely and placed pallets in a dangerous position. The delivery driver asked my wife to help move a 1 tonne pallet. Neither the delivery company or grasslands were helpful when contacted. Very poor and had to spend several hours trying to sort it out.

The website is good and call centre helpful, but my delivery was not when it was supposed to be and I had to leave a dinner to sort it out. When I complained I got very badly fobbed off. I am not sure that Grasslands cares very much and subsequently missed out of a turf order from me - I won't be using them again.

Tried to order 49m2 of their high quality wonder turf well in advance of date required. I was pleased to get a response that I would receive it on the Friday I requested. Unfortunately it never turned up. The reason I have given one star and not none is they did not hide away and did communicate with me via email but every attempt after to get it to me resulted in a no show (after two weekends they refunded with no issue). I am not sure how you can run a online turf delivery business if you cannot guarantee it arrival in a reasonable window as the perishable nature of turf and secondly the planning made by the customer to lay it. Communication was good and refunded after 2 weeks of trying but that fact it never turned up at all and with no real solid explanation is why I have to give such a low rated review.

Unfortunately the gravel I ordered (budget 20mm) didn't look like the pictures. There were lots of larger bits f gravel measuring upto 50mm by 30mm. Bit frustrating to say the least. They maintain its the correct one

We were very disappointed with the customer service we received on the phone from the young lady we spoke to, she was so rude and disrespectful so we had to order on line. When our order of a 1000Kiles topsoil arrived on time, but unfortunately the driver left the Topsoil on the pavement, he said he just couldn't get it into the garden on his own, we were so disappointed because the last time we ordered Topsoil, the service was excellent the driver was so helpful and he put the Topsoil in our garden on his own with no problem.

The quality of the turf delivered is good and the price competive,however the quality of their customer relations leaves a lot to be desired. I found it difficult to establish when the product would be delivered and when I did they only just managed to achieve it.I waited in all day for the delivery which eventually arrived at 5.15pm.When I spoke to Grasslands to enquire where the delivery was I was told that I should have requested a next day delivery at extra cost if I wanted the turf available to lay on a specific day,and that it was a simple job to lay it. In my option they need to improve their customer care and use a more efficient carrier .

Hi David, we do not recommend ordering anything for the day you want to use it, as we all know it always turns up at the end of the day when you are waiting in for it! We recommend ordering for the day before you require it.

The quality if the product was fine but the delivery caused more damage to the drive than the stones I had purchased. A three wheel truck was used, the middle wheel at the back giving drive. As it went up the drive it ploughed a 12 inch furrow in the drive. Even though the damage was obvious the driver continued 75 yards to the top of the drive. We telephoned to complain but the total disinterest at the end of the line was all too obvious.

Hi Andrew, the driver did make you awear of the issue before to much damage had been done, how ever you did have a long drive and wanted the product at the top of the drive. Sorry for the inconvinience.

I ordered a bulk bag of Cotswold Buff gravel. The colour is NOTHING LIKE that shown on your website!! I had selected it to match our existing drive - but had to buy ANOTHER bulk bag in an attempt to hide all the existing gravel. Even the second 1,000 kg bag has barely hidden all the original gravel but I can't afford a third! I am disappointed. It also seems extremely soft and I am worried it will turn to dust in no time.

Gravel fine. Pallets it arrived on were so poor they collapsed before delivery was complete. So there it sat - half on the road , half on the pavement. So I had to go out and shovel a ton of gravel on my own - not easy . 59 years old woman with bad back !! Please improve the quality of pallets used,

Hi Ruth, Sorry that the pallets broke, I believe that this may have been caused by mishandling during transport. I will make sure the quality of pallets used is up to standard.

Some of the following may be due to the recent lack of rain ??? Turf rolls varied in width and thickness. Some of the edges were damaged. appeared to have dead grass amongst the new live grass on some of the rolls. Some of the rolls were so thin in places that they fell apart. Some of the rolls seemed healthier than others.
