“The turf was fine and the price good. The lorry sent was too long to get round one corner on the approach road which meant I had to move turf quite some distance . could a shorter lorry be offered in future.”

“Ordering on-line was simple. When I had a query my phone call was answered quickly and question was answered efficiently and in a helpful and friendly way. Cost was resonable and product was exectly as described on website. Only downside was that my delivery instructions were misinterpreted and 3 tonnes of gravel was left on the kerbside on a junction of two fairly narrow suburban streets. It happened that the delivery came during the 30 minutes that the house was unoccupied - we could have avoided the problem otherwise. It would help if delivery drivers could phone with on the day with expected ETA.”

“I was pleased with service from Grasslands, from whom I have bought 22 tonnes of gravel to re-lay my long drive; I bought it in 3 separate batches and did it bit by bit, so 3 separate orders. From the top: telephone ordering was polite and efficient. The quality of the gravel was excellent, every bit pretty much a uniform size. The delivery (a particular issue for me) was professionally done, each builders bag hooked on a forklift truck that came on the delivery lorry, so I could specify where to site the gravel bags (and hence drive my car past them until I got round to laying gravel). The only slight gripe was vagueness about delivery day, resolved by phoning. Overall, not the cheapest but worth paying slightly more for the quality of the gravel and the mode of delivery.”

“The grass easily to laid but if you got joint two parts don't waste your time get 4 meter roll. It great if you got an dog too”

“We were very pleased with the overall service and delivery time, even though it was over the Easter break. The prices were very competitive and I think we ordered the items just in time before the prices were increased. The turf was a bit disappointing but has been resolved and would still recommend Grasslands and staff were very friendly and helpful.”

“I had to wait until 5.45 pm for my delivery which was a little frustrating but once I received my bulk bag of slate I was very pleased with the quality, colour (blue) and how full the bag was. I would certainly use Grasslands again.”

“Good service. The ordering was easy and quick and the product turned up within the alloted time sent to me after ordering. All in all the ordering was a good service. The only complaint I have is the delivery driver. I was unfortunately not at home when my order arrived and left instructions to call me to tell the driver where to put the order. He said he was unable to get the bag of topsoil outside the front of my house or the back of my house as he only had a pump truck. I have used a pump truck many times and see no problem to get it to at least one of the places where I wanted it. I am lucky that my brother and sister in law live in my close and said I could put it on their drive way as long as there was enough room left for a car. He spoke to my sister in law and he told her I said to put it on her front garden/lawn She said "i don't think he would have said that" he said I did and was adamant that he was going to put it there despite there being a perfectly good drive to put it on right next to the garden. Even if I had have said to put it there he should have listened to the home owner who didn't want it there. Apparently he became quite irate when she said she didn't want it on her front lawn but eventually agreed to let him put it there as she didn't want to argue anymore as she is heavily pregnant and was feeling unwell as she had to stand for so long speaking to him. He then took about 15minutes apparently to get the bag off the truck and then knocked on the door and was asking her for instructions, i assume wether to turn the pump truck left or right etc. he then couldn't get it on the garden and my sister in law's Dad with a bad hip turned up and ended up helping him push it onto front garden. He also didn't have the pump truck high enough and so left massive holes where the pallet had scraped along the soil and grass on the front garden. Luckily this is being relandscaped as not in a great condition otherwise you would be recieving a complaint from my brother for damaging his front garden I am sure, especially as he was asked by the home owner not to put it there, whom I feel he should have listened to and not the person on the phone, even though I said to put it outside the front of my house and not theirs and on their drive if he couldn't get it outside mine. My sister in law gave the same instructions to him that it was to go outside my house and if he couldn't get it there for some reason then put it on their drive. My sister in law was very tired from standing and arguing and waiting for him to do it as he wouldn't seem to let her sit down as kept knocking on the door for help. I personally think this is pretty poor service having to have a pregnant woman and her dad helping someone that is paid and trained to deliver the topsoil but it clearly not proficent. My brother was going to order gravel from you but is considering not now as his wife was upset and also came home to find a bag of topsoil for someone else on his front garden/lawn. It is a shame as otherwise the service was very good and I was very happy as it is a good product, price and well organised. I did find having several different websites confusing as if i typed in the same address on computer, iPad and iPhone I got a different site on each with different information each time. One appeared to be an old website.”

“Products were very good, communication was very good and the price was very good as well. The delivery was shambolic however, the driver was unable to get the lorry close to my house (other company delivery's have been fine) he then also couldn't move the ton soil bag on his own lucky i was home to help and we just managed to get it inside the gate way after he had originally suggested he leave it on the side of the road some 50 yards or more from my house.”
