I purchased a wedding and engagement ring set from this jeweller, expecting it to last. Unfortunately, after around three years, a diamond fell out of the wedding band. Given that this section sits underneath the engagement ring, it’s not exposed to knocks or daily wear in the same way, so this was surprising. I paid over £100 to have the stone replaced, only for another diamond to fall out less than a year later. Because it was a different stone, I was told this would not be covered and I would need to pay again. The ring was sent away for inspection and I was told there is “nothing wrong” with it. However, in my view, losing two stones in such a short period suggests an issue with quality or setting. I’m very disappointed with both the durability of the ring and the aftercare service. Based on this experience, I would not purchase from this jeweller again.

I went to H Samuel in Huddersfield to have my engagement ring cleaned before my wedding. They did such a good job and my ring looked so sparkly and clean. I ended up buying the products they used so I could touch it up the morning of the wedding. When I’d done mine, I offered to do my sisters’ rings and my mum’s with their products and it made such a difference. This is a pic of our hands, all wearing rings cleaned with HSamuel products.

I ordered my son a watch for his 18th birthday. Royal mail apparently left the valuable item outside and a signature was not required but not parcel was there. An investigation is now to be opened After calling them as soon as I got the "delivered" email. The lady said she'd send me confirmation of the case investigating number and I got nothing. She said she'd call later that day to give me an update and still nothing. No call or email. I called again to be speaking to a rude woman who hung up on me and then called back. I asked to speak to a manager whilst getting spoken over and said a manger weren't available. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE. I've now have to go through my bank to get my refund. Disgusting company

Visited H Samuel in Elgin and during a conversation I explained I had tried to get my 21st birthday watch bracelet repaired . I had links taken out 50 years ago and needed them put back in. I had already contacted Rotary watches but they could not assist me. Paul in Elgin branch said to bring in my watch and he would look at it. The watch was then passed to your Dundee repair shop who quickly called me with a quote, repaired the watch and I can now use it again after lying in a box for last few years. Didn't know you repaired vintage and antique jewellery items. First class service and my solid silver watch can be worn again. Thank you

I was in H. Samuel ,Inverness , Eastgate Shopping Centre on 2/3/26 at 16.21. I was served by a very pleasant, helpful girl called Samantha. I was looking for an item of jewellery for my niece's 18th birthday. I had a few ideas in mind , & with Samanthas help , I bought a very pretty necklace . Samantha could not have been more helpful from start to finish. She has obviously received very good training in her job , & Im sure will continue to be a very reliable member of the team.

In November 2025 I visited our H Samuel in Newport Isle of Wight because my watch had stopped working and needed a new battery. I do have an iPhone but that isn't waterproof or is too valuable to risk even if it does survive the odd dunk. So I always wear a waterproof watch. It needed a new battery and Sue T helped me and put a new battery in. She warned me it wouldn't be water proof but I've added nail glue and nail varnish to the back and so far, so brilliant. Thank you so much. I would have bought a new watch as well but sadly I have very small wrists and they are all too big to be comfortable for me. So sorry it's taken a while to write this. My 5 year old daughter had her ears pierced at the Guildford branch yesterday. Ben made her feel at ease, was very friendly and calm. We were seen earlier than expected as we were so early which was grateful appreciated too. Many thanks, Ben!

am very disappointed with my experience at H. Samuel. I purchased insurance for my watch for two years, expecting proper coverage and support. When the glass became badly scratched, they refused to fix it, saying it was wear and tear. I paid for insurance to have peace of mind, so this was very frustrating. I feel the service did not meet my expectations and I would not recommend their watch insurance.

I WENT INTO SWANSEA STORE! NEVER AGAIN THE STAFF MOST PUT OUT WHEN I INTERUPTED THERE LITTLE CROWD OF FOUR SO CALLED SALES WOMEN CHATTING AND DOING NOTHING ELSE NOT INTERESTED IN ANY COUSTOMERS .WHEN TO F.W. HINDS INSTEAD AND GLAD I DID I D SACK THEM ALL IF I OWNED THAT SHOP PAUL.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Long story short I had just proposed to girlfriend of 13 years whilst on holiday I rushed to get the ring from another shop and they didnt even ask me size they said check on your finger hers be same. So my fiancé's ring was 4 sizes too big. We went into your middlesbrough store after seeing the ring she wanted online And instantly the girl who served us helped us and listened to our story and seen I was in trouble. Gary the manager over hearing this story said came to assist further they both were so amazing not only making sure jess had the right size that she was okay to come back Saturday as we were waiting on a refund for the 1st ring which could take 3 days. My partner obviously wanted the ring there and then which Gary advised is possible ill see if we got it in your exact size and we can have a look at abit of finance. He took us through the process which was so straight forward I was jungling my 2 small children at the time and he could see we all were stressed after been out shopping for over 4 hours. I think the girls name who also served us was bethany, i could be wrong but she wore beautiful glasses and was forever smiling and asking about our girls and the holiday. From start to finish the whole team in middlesbrough store treat us like royalty they clearly know their job inside out and understand how to make people feel special. My future wife is now so happy again after my failure and the other store which I wont name but its wasn't hsamuel so dont worry. It really was a dream and we will 100% be back for future jewellery and even our wedding rings to compliment the beautiful engagement ring we now have that fits perfect. Many thanks again chris, jess and our girls.

We went into the Scarborough to choose a replacement engagement ring. The customer service was fantastic. A big shout out to Alison. We bought a ring and also sent my wedding ring off to be cleaned and re-rodium plated. We also insured my wedding ring. The whole experience was stressfree and at no point did we feel obliged to buy anything. Alison was very knowledgeable and made our experience a lovely one. Thank you 😊

Not sure where to start, we ordered an engagement ring online on the 1st September, to be told the estimated delivery would be 26th - 30th September; fine, no problem we settled down to wait. Two weeks after the order the funds which had been reserved (but not taken) by H Samuel were returned to the bank with no explanation or contact. Due to it being a weekend, their customer service line was closed so we decided to call into the branch to see if they could pull the order up and confirm the situation, three advisors later and we were no clearer. We then contacted H Samuel Customer Services on the Monday (15th September) to be advised this was common practice as they could not hold payments for more than two weeks and as the order was not yet ready they could not take payment. Dates of 26th / 30th September were re-iterated. On the 26th September we have received no further update so again reverted to H Samuel Customer services who advised they would email the manufacturers for an update and would call us back, as this was a Friday we had to wait until the Monday; no update was received so we called again, to be told they still waiting a response from the manufactures but would email again. 30th September and still no update as to dispatch, we pushed for the matter to be escalated as three days had passed without any response from the Manufactures. We received an email on the 30th to advise that the order could take 4 / 5 weeks; we were currently on 4. We followed up AGAIN on the 2nd October as we still had not received any firm update as to the order and delivery times to be advised they still had not received any response from the manufacturers. We begged that this be escalated further and it was unbelievable that they could not make a call and had to simply rely on emails which were clearly being ignored. We received call from H Samuel on Friday 3rd October to advise that the ring was expected the following week and should be shipped 10th / 13th October. As the online tracking had not been updated and we were now wary we requested a further update on the 7th October and were advised the ring had been received from the manufacturers and was going through final quality checks before being dispatched. 8th October we received an email to advise the order had been cancelled! We called H Samuel to try to find out why - to be told "they would look into it" At this stage we told them to keep the order cancelled, they had wasted enough of our time. We will never use H Samuel again, what was supposed to be a time of happiness and joy was turned into an absolute farse and caused a lot of un-necessary stress.

I have tried multiple times to order a particular item which as advertised as in-stock online. My money is taken and my order is accepted only for it to be cancelled a few days later as the item is unavailable.
