I had a great experience at the Autocentre in Dartford yesterday. Big T, Harry and Jordan went above and beyond to help me out after a car accident. They were so kind and meant that I could stay on the road! I’m incredibly grateful

Booked MOT online at Luton Windmill Trading estate. Good price and plenty of convenient time slots. Plenty of reminders given, via text and email of appointment. Helpful advice online on getting vehicle ready for a pass. MOT carried out on time and greeted by friendly staff. On completion all my paper work was ready and car handed over. Very friendly Centre Manager (Mr Fozlu) who complimented me on the cleanliness of my car. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Just awful. I booked a service and MOT online for my son in Gloucester, a student in the area, on the basis that he'd get fair and honest service from a well-known company. First of all, he was turned away at the time of his appointment, having to return over an hour later. The car failed its MOT, requiring new tyres, three light bulbs, and apparently a new motor for the windscreen wipers. There was also a long list of items to "keep an eye on". All of this came to over 800 pounds, which shocked and worried my son. I rang the centre to go through list, but unfortunately whoever I spoke to really wasn't interested. I asked why three lightbulbs - two indicators, one for a number plate - cost 96 pounds, for example, and never got an adequate reply. I also asked that the work required to get the vehicle through its MOT would be done there and then, i.e. mainly the tyres, but (having apparently checked) they didn't have them in stock. I also then requested that the service go ahead, which was already paid for, to which he agreed. I also asked for the manager's details so I could discuss this further. When my son rang later to find out when he could collect the car, after the service, he was told it would not be done - the opposite of what I'd been told. I then rang customer service for a refund for the service, and to raise several issues about the whole experience - the attitude of the staff member, and the service he'd stated would be done, then refused. It also transpired that the centre does not stock tyres, despite what he said, so I have no idea why he did that! I later asked my son to check the windscreen wipers. They work perfectly, but the bottle was empty. I'm therefore unclear why - as an item stated as an MOT failure - they specified on the invoice that a new motor was required, at a cost of 58 pounds. Apart from ringing the centre to get an explanation, I've contacted customer services three times to get a manager to explain all the issues which I prescriptively outlined to them, ranging from the attitude of the staff, the lack of service to the vehicle, the windscreen motor which absolutely wasn't required and, two weeks later, the lack of contact from a manager and an explanation. The vehicle subsequently passed its MOT elsewhere, with new tyres, etc, and the three fitted light bulbs which cost me 20 pounds, not 96. Apart from the poor service, it seems that there's an attempt to add extra items so that the uninitiated feel it's necessary to get it done. I've held off for two weeks to allow Halfords to respond to my concerns, but as I've had zero communication from them, I've posted this.

DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE… Staff are terrible and customer service no better. They have no respect or care for your car, there’s no communication what’s so ever. Say one thing and do the opposite. I’ve tried to be reasonable but now it’s time to let people know how bad Halfords auto centre Andover is. They disrespect customers, they climb through your windows, they reverse cars close up-to each other, if not hitting them, rev your engine for no reason and the list goes on. One member of staff said “I don’t care it’s not my f…ing car”. There work shop is a mess with bins tipped over. My insurance company is about to write my car off due to the damage Halfords Auto Centre Andover have caused. I have video recordings taken while my car was in Halfords Auto Centre Andover covering over 4 weeks which I am about to start releasing on social media, please think twice before using them there’s better garages out their who do care about there customers.

Bloody annoying o an appointment to get my brakes looked at on my Vauxhall corsa 1.4, turned up at the time and the auto centre at Luton knew nothing about it, not entirely their fault more Halfords auto centre and to top it up staff were pretty clueless regarding braking issue so I just left and got the Vauxhall booked into a local garage.

Put my van in to get the front wheel alignment done. They said it had been done so i paid for it. On the road back home nothing seemed to have changed. the steering wheel was still off center by the same amount. I checked the track rod ends to see if they had been adjusted. They had not , they were all coroded with no signs of adjustment. Dont waste your cash with Halfords

Terrible service. All money making. Had a new clutch and fly wheel changed under warranty. Hence why I used Halfords at Hillsborough. 7 months on the third component has broke and leaked brake fluid. Not there fault as they didn’t change that part. If liquid has leaked it will mean having to have another clutch and fly wheel. I have never heard anything like it. Funny how my warranty ran out a week ago. Do not use money makers and poor customer service skills. Use local trusted mechanics.

I've used Byfleet Halford & a saw a turn in management style , money making & lack of manners & value for money .. But Woking Halfords was an all new level . A Manager and outfit clearly only motivated by KPI's , Monthly targets & managers bonus making as much money as possible out of the customer , minimal effort to actually look at the car , clearly adding on every possible , I had a decision on my brakes , didnt even take the wheel off ! Damion the manager even laughed in my face , small minded & arrogant . Avoid like Covid !! Save yourself a small fortune & having your intelligence insulted .

Rubbish, booked for a at home oil change and happily took my money Immediately. Gave me an 8-8 appointment which was fine. Received an email on the morning advising mechanic will be with me between 8-12, still hadn’t arrived by 3 Spent 20 mins on the phone only to be told they’d need to re arrange and, theres an additional charge for oil too. Worth noting they would charge 40GBP if you’re not in and miss the appointment but offer nothing in compensation if they fail to show

Just had a "full" service at Halford in York.. Took well under an hour to do the 77 point "check" and change oil, filter and air filter. Didn't even take it for a test drive. How do I know.. Because the dash cam I bought from Halfords previously recorded it. This is blatant cheating and fraud. I asked if I could hang around and the guy said due to covid I can't.. Ok.. but I am already on the office just like all the other customers.. Does the virus take time, count to a 100 before it infects people? Come on! I will be taking the recordings to Trading Standards, who not so long a go found fraud in their Bristol branch.

Dear Liz @ Halfords Please let me make it clear, I refuse to follow links, and waste any more time & money trying to contact your none existent so called customer care! Do your job and ring me? Furthermore not interest in which side/or department Halfords chooses to split the company up into, YOUR ALL HALFORDS. In the mean time I am quite happy to continue and show people what Halfords are really like, over 4 months and still no phone call? Would you call that a good service “seriously” Liz? !!! Took our car in for 4 new tyres at Halfords ended up with 2 alloy wheels damaged, under-seal ripped off underneath and left dangling, (which according to Halfords was the cars fault? Manager confrontational attitude problem) and to top it all found they had rummaged through the glove box and personal property to find the service manual to check when the next service was due? (Excuse: looking for the wheel nut) was sent down the road to a wheel repair shop who told us it needed a diamond cutter company to repair it? Also: that we were the 3rd car this week with the same problem sent from Halfords. Contacted there head office several times not interested no reply from them at all, what a bunch of cowboys should hold their heads in shame. Spent over 2 days running about / over 100 miles and taken 5 weeks to sort out at another branch and now over 4 months still waiting for them to complete their investigations so they say? Now we have ended up with 2 shiny refurbished wheels and 2 dull ones. Beware people not a professional company with little or no respect of people’s property, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!! UPDATE: Dear Reader Matt, Yes they did give our car back not saying a single word about any of the damage? Plus I sorted the underseal out my-self in the end because even with photo evidence still total disrespect and ignorance of the matter.

The Halfords Autocentre Eastbourne branch have recently MOT'd and serviced one of our cars. This was done very professionally and we are and always have been extremely happy with the service we've received. The advice we were given was excellent and there is never any pressure to have work done. The staff are always polite, friendly and kind and go that extra mile to make you feel like you're in good hands and nothing is too much trouble for them. They do their utmost to fit you in and as I experienced recently, when it is too short notice, Jamie went out of his way to help when it wasn't possible to get my MOT done imminently. They are an excellent team and I could not recommend them enough.
