“Thanks to Carl Williams and colleagues Sian and Renche in the office at Harrisons Solar, from the first really detailed and helpful meeting with Carl scoping our requirements through to final inspection, we had a seamless and hassle free installation of our 16 solar panels and Tesla Powerwall battery. At each stage in the process from new power meter change, scaffolding arrangements, through to the highly efficient 1 day installation of the solar system components, we were kept informed of progress and the weather dependent contingency plans. Our first meeting with Carl through to final inspection of the system took about 6 weeks. Despite our installation being completed close to the shortest day, we have been really pleased at the amount of solar power generated from our panels even on overcast days and our first power bill since the installation reflects the substantial reduction in used grid power.”

“Amazing customer service from the initial meetings, getting a quote, through to the installation and training. Darryl was informative, listened to our needs and designed a system for us accordingly. We also obtained 2 other quotes from different companies but went with Harrisons both for the quality of the products (solar panels, battery and inverter) as well as his competitive price. The whole process was smooth and seamless with Karyn on the admin side who answered any queries promptly. The instal was amazing and happened very quickly from accepting the quote. Blair and his team were professional and efficient and everything was installed in a day. We have now had our system up and running for almost a month and have had no issues. Highly recommend getting a quote from Harrisons if you are considering a solar instal.”

His solar system installer S4 Smart Electrical Ltd did an excellent install with all the cabling etc. hidden in the wall. We purchased AIKO NeoStar solar panels and Tesla power wall . “Nerum Bonesetter, We are really pleased with your honest recommendations. Before solar power system: Contact Energy bill was $ 300 to 380 in winter and $ 280 to 240 in summer. Fixed charge $ 61 and kwh charge of 18 cents After Solar power system: Winter bill is down to about $ 100. Summers come to about $ 20 and sometimes even Zero. Genesis energy night 15 cents per kwh Day 31 cents per kwh Export credit 12 cents per kwh Low EV  Daily fixed charge of 60 cents or $ 18 per month. Hi Nerum, it has been about 10 months since you installed the 11 panel Fronius solar system at our place. We are seeing a marked difference in our energy costs. Before we used to pay about $ 3000 per year for energy and now I estimate our cost to come under a $ 1000 (mostly because of the fixed line charges). As per Fronius solar app: My peak production was more than 800 kwh in January with consumption coming in at 184 kwh for the month. In May the production was down to 453 kwh and consumption at 166 kwh. So I am producing 3 times as much as I need in winter and more than 4 times in summer. Also since I also bought a electric vehicle, I am saving about $ 100 on petrol per week or about $ 5000 for the year. I have to travel 70 km a day to work from west Auckland to Manukau - about 5 times a week. I usually end up running 25000 km on the clock every year. These are approximate figures as per my knowledge. So I believe by September, when I complete 1 year of solar system install, I would have saved $ 7000 ($ 2000 on power and $ 5000 on petrol). Off course, had it not been for the newly introduced RUC charges, which should come to about $ 1750 a year for 25000 km, I would have paid off my solar power system in 2 years. It should take a few extra months now. But anyway, just updating you on the performance and economics of owning a solar power system. Thanks for persuading me into taking this decision.”
