Zappi product okay. Commissioning and post installation service very poor. Compounded by their action in threatening penalty interest and debt collection action when I withheld 10% of the invoiced amount as a result. See my review comments for further details

Hi Muir and Janet, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that there has been some misunderstanding here. I believe that you were made aware that there were some software issues with MyEnergi and that the reporting would look a little different. You made an informed decision to go ahead with this regardless. There was never any push for the balance of your payment, this is a standard text at the bottom of the Zero statements, and was not being chased while they were helping to sort out the issues. You were aware that they were working with MyEnergi to resolve the issues and the business owner spent 3 hours at your home helping to sort this issue with the help of Taspac and MyEnergi. The Harrison franchise in the Marlborough area are keen to install solar but when there is a breakdown their performance is way below par and bookong an electrician who is going on holiday so cant do it yet sums up their customer service.l

Hi Matt, Since notifying us of your inverter failure on 19/01/2024, our technical team has been working tirelessly to ensure a quick turnaround time. As the guarantee falls under the manufacturer's warranty, we have to adhere to the manufacturer's RMA processes / timelines. The unit was delivered to your property last week and the installation will commence next week. Considering most of our teams are booked out well in advance, this is a very good outcome. They don't cover Southland. You'd think colder regions would be the first they'd have representatives covering. Very disappointed

Had solar installed. Optimizers failed after about a year which I wasn't aware of. Harrisons failed to notify me for almost 2 years so no solar production for that time. Disappointing to say the least.

I reached out to Harrisons for a quote, on the advice of a friend who used them to install a solar PV array, but they refused to meet with us, on our schedule. We are busy people with limited time and I offered them a 2 week window but they just couldn't seem to hit it. My view is that if you can't meet my schedule, them my business must not be good enough for you. I assure you, my money is good and another contractor can attest to that emphatically. Too bad you couldn't meet with us. We never made it past your receptionist.

We put Solar panels on the roof of our Marae, which were promised to reduce the bill. At the time, we were not advised that this would raise the price of the main power that we were billed each month and that without a battery there was no real point of having solar panels. Now, that may make sense now!! BUT this was not explained to us four years ago when we purchased the solar panels. We were promised free to cheap power. This has not happened and since then there was no real attempt to help us with our concerns when our power went up. We would not have purchased solar panels, but the person who sold them to us did not care much for our needs. Made the sale and then vanished!

“The installation was fine, although carried out by Whitburn Electrical. The install was delayed by a few weeks as Harrisons forgot to order the scaffolding. Have yet to receive the Certificate of Compliance for the install (install took place early November). Have received zero fly buy points and there has been no follow up in regards to an app to use to monitor the solar production. I can't recommend Harrisons at all, so save yourself time and stress and use a different solar provider.” I posted this 6 months ago. I was called a couple of days after posting this review by the Harrisons team. They were very apologetic for my experiance and offered to install a hot water timer for me, free of charge! They also set me up on the Ap to monitor my solar. Since that call 6 months ago I have heard nothing further inregards to the hot water timer. I still have not received my fly buys points.

We used the outfit in hawkes bay 2 years ago, i can tell you the job was a balls up, the service was bad and they had to sent somebody new to do the installation all over again as unison wouldn't sign the safety compliance ( the way it was installed was dangerous.) We also bought the catch power to warm our water.It actually wasn't installed and was sitting on 1 of my shelf, we had to call them to get it installed way after the job was finished. And now, aftsr installing a big water cylinder, 3 people living at home, we have enough warm water for 2 showers a day.Noone explained to us how to use it and it's not doing its job. I am very very disappointed with solar panels and with a big bill left to pay I feel cheated, the most useless thing I ever bought in my life and Harisson are hopeless, or at least their subcontractors here in hawkes bay. they take your money and then no follow up (except to suggest we use them every year to clean our panels and give them more money), if I could have I would have put 0 star. I was very pro solar panel,not anymore. I wouldn't recommend putting solar panel and definitely not using Harison outfit.

Waste of time new plymouth branch they won't sell single solar panels to customers they would rather rip you off with an expensive system. They are not rv friendly.

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. RV's, caravans, boats are not our market. There are companies that specialise in this product and they would be better suited for your needs. Our product is not designed for that type of use and to buy a single panel from us would not be covered by warranty and irresponsible of us to sell to you. Kind regards, Customer

What with all the hype, the google searches that state: Harrisons Solar - West Coast | Westport | Greymouth | Hokitika this company offers NO SERVICE to the West Coast region at all; there is nothing, nil, zero. I spent an hour going through the online request-a-quote bulldust, only to receive a call telling me they have no service agents in the West Coast and if one becomes available they will advise me. You advertise as the largest solar provider in NZ yet you walk away from an entire region? What the hell is wrong with sending someone a few times a month from Christchurch, Nelson, etc to provide a service.

We also need to find installers for these regions as well and again this is not easy. We do have Business Owners in Christchurch and Nelson but they are completely snowed under covering their own regions. NO contact over 6 weeks, spoke to agency 4 times still nothing, would not reccomend this company to have any work done. VERY POOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The installation went well however the after care service from Wanganui installer has been atrocious. I have solar wires touching the roof and have been trying to get them addressed since Mar 2023. I have continually following up with the installer to no avail. Am now going to be discussing with head office.

Chose an option from the company’s suite and had the system installed a couple of years ago and it’s still not operating properly in my opinion. If the inverter from day one is constantly ramping up and shutting down is the system operating properly? Once you pay your money then it’s not the product thats faulty but a third party . . . . . or you can pay more to fix it 🙃 Was looking to install another system but why would you🤷

My panels were installed poorly there were holes left in my walls and i had absolutely NO follow up support. I have since contracted another company to "Future Energy" to fix everything so i can achieve my goal of being self sufficient only to find that a lot of the panels do not work see attached photos. i spent $20k with harrisons and I recommend you dont do the same. regards Tony Trotter

We were unaware that you were having any issues with your panels, thank you for letting us know. The business owner has checked your site on line and reported a case to Solar Edge for you. If you deal with Alex Warren assure that you have done some research on energy suppliers so you can tell him what supplier you would like to go with. Otherwise he'll just run on a forecast of Harrisons preferred solar provider Octopus where no doubt they get a kick back and won't disclose this to you. Also be prepared to wait. Harrisons will overcommit and under deliver when it comes to installation. If possible make an agreement to pay less if installation isn't complete by a certain date.

Just wanted to let head office know if you are not aware, this is the worst service we have EVER had from any company. We had the panels and batteries installed before Christmas, paid a huge amount of money and am now waiting for new batteries to arrive, This has been very stressful, we had to do a lot of follow up ourselves before anything happened, we thought everything was set to go and had to let the provider know it was not working, very disappointing, it is now approaching close to two months and yet we still are unable to use something we have paid for. I think is important that you know of the service we are getting under your name. I am guessing once again we will have to chase up to find out about the batteries, it has been 2 weeks and yet no o e has had the decency to update us. I guess once payment is made, customer is forgotten. Payment was basically expected straight after installment. We did you bit. I think my partner gave a good review straight after installment as well because we thought the workers were great, little did we know it was not working and continue to not be. A faulty battery cannot be helped but bad customer service can be, we were even told $100 would come our way to make up for the inconvenience, don't say it if you don't mean it right? Not seen a cent. When asked about Harrisons from friends, family and colleagues, as more people are interested in sar, what am I expected to say.
