While the service and equipment is fine, the complete lack of manuals and diagrams or written information to pass on to future home owners or for my own information is a serious let down. I'm highly educated and fully capable of understanding the material, it is insulting to be told I'm 'not qualified' and 'just an owner'!

Harrison's have a very slick TV advertising campaign and a responsive sales team who book your installation quickly, and send invoices very effectively. However, my actual install, while ultimately effective, was amateur hour. I didn't get a chance to consult with the installer, my questions went unanswered, and I consider the installation to be rough beyond belief and amateur in the extreme. The electrical aspects work perfectly, and they passed the independent testing, but the damage done to my house during the installation is as yet unaddressed. I expect there to be a certain amount of refinishing after a retrofit, but I was dismayed at the shoddy job done in three specific areas. To install the battery, the installer simply smashed off a length of the kicker at the bottom of the weatherboard wall of my 99 year old kauri villa - an action that in my mind, was completely unnecessary, had I been consulted, I would have suggested an alternative. Now, water is free to run down the wall until it hits the raw kauri (where it will soak, swell, rot and crack the timber), and instead of getting kicked off the wall at the bottom, it will soak under the bottom plate. Getting behind the battery to flash and paint the affected area will be a mission. The new switch board was installed sympathetically, however, the massive overcuts were unnecessary, as was the gouge in the wall adjacent. These will require refinishing, which is a shame - I'm no professional, but I have made several similar installations in the house without making such a mess. The installation of the gateway in the loft is effective, but really annoying to me. Without any consultation, the installer simply screwed it to a piece of plywood I had in the loft, and without trimming it to size, roughly (as in split the timber, and left screws poking through) screwed it to the hand rail. After, that is, screwing the floor down in a slightly different place to where it should be, which will of course, require remedying. The interior refinishing, while it's annoying, isn't a big issue. Leaving my house exposed to the elements is unacceptable. When I emailed confirmation of payment in full for the job, I raised my concerns with both the installer and the Harrisons, the installers email came back as undeliverable (wrong address) and Harrison's response to my concerns was words to the effect of "Let us know if there's anything else you need". Ummm. Weatherproof my house and apologise for the shoddy job would be good. I am delighted with my tesla battery system, but I feel the quality of this $20,000 installation is disappointing. A far cry from the swish TV advertising which makes the process look effortless.

Harrisons are a slick company but prospective buyers should check other suppliers first.

We still have not had an inspection and we do not get a reading from either installations via email as we did with the 1st installation.

Communication was acceptable and products good quality and as described. Very professional heat-pump installation which I am very happy with. The insulation installers we required to return to rectify the underfloor insulation to the required standard, which they did so promptly and professionally.

Happy with the product... Not too impressed with the service in general. The first time I arranged an appointment they kept rescheduling and then I never heard back! I reluctantly decided to contact them again and wasn’t impressed with the sales person as he turned up late and assumed we were ok to continue with the appointment without apologising for his lateness... At least he turned up this time!

Hi, things were fine until Monday 25th September 2017 when one of the trip switches shut off power to the kitchen. this happened again on Tuesday 29th August 2017, after which l rang our Harrison's installer, James Elliot told him what was happening..he said he'd get it sorted but hasn't come. The switch has tripped off 4 more times since....Sat 7th October, Sunday 8th October, Tuesday 17th October, and again last night, Thursday 19th October 2017. Signed: David Grant. 09 423 7128.

It is difficult to give a rating when I believe our review is based on two different aspects. Firstly, the customer service we received from Andy in Nelson was great. We had many issues with the set up of the solar due to different factors, however he was patient and persevered until solutions were found, responding quickly and checking in regularly. Unfortunately one of the issues we have had with the solar, is the actual lack of savings we have made, even though we have a ralatively powerful set-up on our roof. Had we realised that the savings would be as minimal as they are during the winter months, we would have thought twice about it. We are still hoping for signifiicant improvement in Summer. Because of the ongoing issues we were having, we were encouraged to seek a second opinion from another solar provider. We were incredibly disappointed to discover we paid $4000 more for our solar than what another company were offering for the exact same product. Politely put, we paid for a brand. In saying that, it has been a steep learning curve for us, a reminder of how important it is to get more than one quote. Regarding the ventilation system we had installed, we could not be happier. Our home is warmer, dryer, has eliminated all window condensation, and generally feels fresher.

Because of Trish I went through with Harrison's as a company. She sorted out the problems and lack of communication that I felt with Yonita. I was about to walk and go to a different company. The insulation guys came later than expected on the day but they appeared to do a good job I haven't climbed under the house to check the corners yet. They were pleasant young men. I feel I have noticed a change in the house and it seems to keep its warmth over night better. So thank you for that.
