Headleveler pillows are hand-made in Montreal by a family-run business and have been recommended and sold by health-care professionals and orthopedic centers for over 30 years. The pillows are hypo-allergenic, hypo-bacteriogenic (washable), and available in 7 different thicknesses for adults in Standard, Queen, King & Travel sizes & 2 different thicknesses for children. “Cet oreiller dégage une chaleur immédiate en appuyant la tête. Pour moi cela devient un désavantage important puisque que je préfère la fraicheur d'un oreiller.”

“The quality of the pillows looks good, but the return policy is very strict and return fees are at the expense of the customer. Although there is an extensive form to customize the pillow choice, it does not work well. My pillow was way too thick and firm. Following my experience, I would favor in-store shopping or amazon supplier with more flexible and hassle-free return policies”

Hello, Thanks for taking the time for your review. Given the personal nature of a pillow, we package our pillows in an "overlap" plastic bag with a safety seal. This allows the customer to squeeze any air out of the package and try the pillow on their bed. The bed firmness has a very definite impact on any pillow thickness, since some beds are softer than others. Exchanges are always completely free of charge, as long as the pillow package has not been opened. A $10 label charge is only for a return for a refund. We see, in your particular case, that your order was not placed through the "customizer" even though you might have completed the questionnaire first on your own. When an order is received through the "customizer", we verify all of the information provided and will contact a customer if the pillow thickness needs to be adjusted. As a family-run business for over 35 years, we truly care about our customers, and it would have been our pleasure to help you with an exchange, but we see you have already opted for a return. Hello, Thanks for your review. If you find the pillow too thick, please do not worry. It will soften up with use during the first few weeks. There are different ways to use the pillow. For instance, both surfaces of the pillow are not the same. One is meant for uniquely side sleepers, and the other surface is for both side and back sleepers. If you need any kind of help and/or explanation, please do not hesitate to contact us. It can also take a bit of time to get used to the pillow. “I like the shape of the pillow but it's stiffer than I expected and isn't super comfortable for a long period of time. I bought the pillow per the specifications suggested by their online questionnaire but it's not quite right for me.”

“Not as comfortable as I hoped. It does support my neck somewhat better than others but tends to compact easily and is difficult to fluff. It would be nice if you could remove or add some of the stuffing. I was especially unsatisfied when the seal broke the first time I laid my head on the pillow to try it! It was inevitable since it was sealed so tightly. As stated, once the seal is broken the item is not returnable. Not very happy about that since I would have liked to try the softer version.”

Dans la boîte de votre commande, il y avait une pochette informative contenant les consignes comment essayer l'oreiller. Si vous trouvez l'oreiller trop épais, vous pouvez l'échanger pour un plus moelleux, si l'emballage n'a pas été ouvert. N'hésitez pas à communiquer avec notre équipe pour que l'on puisse vous aider. “Je trouve que la qualité des oreillers a diminué depuis quelques années, et les prix continuent de monter régulièrement, les clients se plaignent que leur oreiller ne dure pas aussi longtemps qu'avant, qu'après 1 an elle est déjà afaisée... je trouve bien dommage et je songe éventuellement à changer de compagnie d'oreiller fournisseur.”

“Wish the warning that nothing can be opened if there is a possibility of return had been more prominent. I would not have slept on a pillow in plastic in any case. Having done the assessment, I came out a 27. Your staff phoned and highly recommended an 18 so I went with that. I'm not 100% happy with the 18 but a return would be at my expense because I automatically opened everything. Some improvement possible here.”

Hi Theresa, Thank you for your review. We package our Standard and Queen size pillows in an overlap plastic bag with a safety seal that says "Not returnable if seal is broken". The reason why the pillow is packaged this way is to allow you to try the pillow on your bed after squeezing out any air that would be inside of the package. When we first began making our pillows 30 years ago, there was only one type of mattress on the market. Since there are many different kinds nowadays, it is important to try the pillow on your bed, because some beds are soft which can definitely influence the thickness required. We also include a pocket folder inside of the box with instructions on how to try the pillow when you first receive it. We understand that is it unrealistic to sleep with the pillow while it is in the plastic bag, but the idea of trying it on your bed before opening the package is to see if your head is placed properly and you are comfortable. We usually suggest trying the pillow while in the package for approximately 30 minutes to see how you feel.
