I honestly have to give HiFi Corp Ilanga Mall full stars for the service I received. This was one of the most enjoyable shopping experiences I have ever had.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. They joked with each other and included me in the conversation, which made me feel welcome instead of just like another customer.
I went in expecting to overpay for my Soundcore R50i NC earbuds, but the staff member took the time to explain the membership discount and helped me get them for a better deal. I really appreciated that she looked for a way to help me save money instead of just making a sale.

“Subject: Poor Customer Service Experience at HiFi Corp Menlyn
I visited HiFi Corp Menlyn on 1 July 2026 with the intention of purchasing a 43-inch Skyworth TV for my son. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
Upon arriving at the store, it took an unreasonably long time for a salesperson to attend to us and provide assistance. When we eventually received help, we discovered that the price displayed on the television was incorrect. when this was brought to my attention i asked to buy with the price i saw on the come with stories, but I was informed that there was nothing they could do to assist or honour the displayed price.
As a customer, I expected better service and assistance, especially when the pricing discrepancy was not of my making. The lack of urgency, poor customer service, and unwillingness to find a solution left me frustrated and dissatisfied with my shopping experience.
I trust that this matter will be reviewed to improve customer service and ensure that pricing displayed in-store is accurate.”
“On the 17th June I bought a Packard bell laptop from hifi corporation online store and collected it from hifi corporation Polokwane,The device is too slow for basic tasks and the battery life is far below expected.
Their website return policy states: “Laptop must be returned in its original packaging within 14 days for exchange.” I am within this 14-day window and have kept all original packaging.
However, I’m now being told by customer service lady at the polokwane branch that the laptop must first be assessed by a technician, with a 7-21 working day turnaround. This contradicts their published policy and leaves me without a working device for up to 3 weeks.
I request an exchange for an equivalent HP laptop. If the HP model is more expensive, I am happy to pay the difference. Please let me know the next steps to finalise this at my nearest store.”
