“Updating my previous reviews. I'm so sorry that hadn't seen other reviews before ordering from you because I certainly wouldn't have done so looks like you are sending so many people the wrong items that were requested will say it again I definitely know I ordered the Daily Express born on the day newspaper I received a large book with front pages of various newspapers. Mostly blurred print I have emailed them twice for a refund. Or the paper I requested. this has cost me over 60 pounds which I cannot afford to lose”

“Book looks lovely, but it is missing 21st August 2024! It was ordered after that date. Now I have to try and get a front page for that date, as it is a gift for August of next year!!!”

“Ordered on the 5th for a special birthday on the 16th,,, have had to order a replacement on 14th which obviously will arrive after the occasion,, apparently the first order got ‘stuck’ between source & delivery?? Disappointed”

“I bought this for my sons 21st for his birthday. His autistic aspeergers. The print is really poor and faint. I'm so upset because I paid so much for it. Really disappointed. Definitely will not be giving it to him as a present”

“For $96.00 I got a newspaper wrapped in tissue paper (with what looked like a computer printed certificate of authenticity) in a gift box. Cost way too much to return. Not worth nearly $100.00 Would never order from them again.”

“This was the second time that I ordered from them and both times it took forever to receive the gift. And the excuse was (both times) that they were lost. I sent several messages to them and received one generic message saying they would inform me about it. After I received the package I received a message that they had emailed me that the package was lost. I will not order from them again!”

“Great disappointment. I ordered a birthday book as a gift for my brother’s 60th birthday celebration in Las Vegas. It took nearly a month for the delivery and what I received was the wrong book. It had someone else’s name and birthdate embossed on the cover. I am now scurrying to find a gift at the last minute. While I was issued a refund, I am totally disappointed with this experience with Historic Newspapers. I would not recommend them to anyone else.”

“I tried recently to buy a copy of the Daily Telegraph from 1st Jan 2021 having missed buying it on the day. Order taken ok, money deducted from my account ABout a week later received email saying that they didnt have it in stock and asked what I wanted to do. Asked for a copy of Times, same date. Another email exchange -- out of stock Now getting refund So the really surprising thing is that both these papers and dates are still showing as being available on their website -- so other people will experience the same issue Surely they should accurately portray at the time of ordering if back issues are available or not !!”

“I ordered a Calendar and the most important news date was missing, I asked them to send the replacement as a matter of urgency as the person the gift was for was coming in the next afternoon and then moving away. I was advised that the replacement would take the same length of time. I have since asked to cancel the order and be refunded. No apology received.”
