Never got my order, it wasn't dispatched over a week after ordered so had to cancel

I was charged twice because your login system and payment screen was playing up. I asked for a refund and was refused. The quality of the product was all. It was all in black and white expect for the last 10 pages or six the print was very small. Coming from a customer service role myself for the past 20 years this has to be the worst customer service I have received.

The worst customer service I’ve received ever.

my order never came for my little brothers birthday, poor communication from this “company” just saw they refunded me. Never will try order again.

Very disappointing! I ordered a personalised Manchester United book for my son in law’s birthday-it was the perfect present. They sent a Manchester City one and couldn’t turn the correct order round in time for his birthday. I got a refund but still not very impressed

Still waiting for order. Very disappointed when I contacted them. Has been 3 weeks since it was supposed to arrived they told me I could pick it up from depot which is a 3 hour round trip for me. I paid for royal mail to deliver it.

The names of the gift recipients were used instead of ours as sender. Despatch was faulty resulting in the gift being very late to arrive.

Atrocious Service. Initial Delivery Frame was stated as '5th - 11th May' on my email order-confirmation, after I had paid £7.50 for next-day Courier Delivery (although I understand the lead time, as it was a custom-made item). Their website order tracker, however, was stating that the order could be expected between 4th and 7th May. I called on the 7th, and was assured by a Customer Service Representative that the item would be dispatched that day - it was not. I was then assured by a second customer representative on Tuesday 12th that the item would be dispatched either on that day, or the following day (13th) - again, it was not. It was not until Friday 15th that I received confirmation that the item had been dispatched and, due to the weekend, I would not be receiving the item until Monday 18th May - an entire week after my confirmed delivery window, and after I had spent extra on next-day delivery. A delay of a week, all whilst being misinformed by Customer Service Representatives is totally unacceptable, and the company has even seen fit to ignore my PayPal dispute. Edit after Company's Response: Is compulsive lying a symptom of Covid 19? Your Customer Service Assistants repeatedly assured me of when the item would be manufactured and dispatched, but these assurances were demonstrably untrue. A -communicated- delay is understandable, but the service I received was dishonest. I ordered the item for a dying woman's last birthday, and I passed your company's assurances on to her; you didn't just lie to me, but you also lied to her. The fact that you then feel that you can use a global pandemic to excuse your inability to communicate transparently is, frankly, despicable. Remember, my issue is with the manufacturing and dispatch of the item - the element over which your company has full control and oversight.

Unfortunately, I still haven't received this gift, which was intended for an 80th birthday celebration, because the promised (and paid for) next day delivery did not materialise. If you are ordering weeks in advance this might be a good product, I couldn't say. The courier firm did not answer the phone when I tried to track down the parcel - I've never heard of APC Overnight and I'd certainly never use them again; the problem is that one never knows whether a company like Historic Newspapers is using a reputable delivery firm or a couple of blokes with a van. I was unable to give my father the present at his birthday celebration and will now have to pay to get the item delivered to him. This is a consequence of Historic Newspapers choice of delivery firm but they have not compensated me appropriately. In light of my experience, I wouldn't recommend the company or suggest that other people use them. There are other companies offering similar services, but who are less far up Google's rankings: I wish I'd purchased from BygoneNews.

Dreadful experience! I ordered a gift for my Aunt in plenty of time for her 80th birthday. It didn’t arrive after 3 separate promises. I changed the delivery address so she could get it direct. The delivery driver took it to the wrong address twice. It’s turns out the postcode wasn’t copied correctly by the company. Communication was good although full of broken promises! Very disappointed. I ended up cancelling my order. I would not recommend them.

Paid the extra £40 for the framing, only for it to be delivered crumpled up half way down the frame. Trying to put an entire Sunday Times newspaper in was either bone idle laziness or just inept. I didn’t have time to send it back so had to pay for the reframing myself on short notice.

Very flimsy magazine which I think you realised because you put a free copy of The Times in with it - with a completely wrong birth date and 100 years out of date!!! As this was a gift it completely ruined the surprise and am awaiting a full refund.

Very disappointed in the packaging considering the price I paid for 3 x Times newspapers. They could have easily got damaged. Also 1 had wrong certificate and it was hard work trying to get correct certificate sent. From what I thought would be a great gift for my daughter for her 3 children's dates if birth I feel disappointed with the whole experience considering cost

Delivery is useless. No help was given to rectify the situation. Waited for delivery 3 times, I was in and they said I wasn’t. Historic papers won’t give permission to leave in a safe place. Asked for a full refund, still waiting for it. The delivery I purchased was next day delivery as I wanted it in time for Christmas, the only option to get it there quickly (haha). Apparently they tried three times and then when going back and forth with historic papers they asked me to pay for another delivery if I wanted the product. This would have been almost £20 in delivery charges in total so at this point I wondered if it was a scam and requested a refund. I would have expected the company to have paid for the delivery and tried to get the product to me. I had already paid £10 delivery at this point. Looking forwards to a refund.

Arrived in bad condition , as if it had been run over. Outer wrapping was splashed with mud.
