Website doesn’t give all the facts. It’s assumed you know everything.Prices just to reel you in. Holiday cost us nearly £200 more than advertised. Complained and was promised a review. Still waiting.

Firstly, I was not very familiar with ‘Holiday Gems’ as a holiday finder. But I can honestly say that from the moment I booked my holiday online, and being a family with a disabled child requiring additional needs, special assistance and room bookings, Holiday Gems have been fantastic. Really looking forward to our family holiday and hope all goes as well as the booking and contact we have had so far with the customer care team at Holiday Gems.

This was the second time that I have used HOLIDAY GEMS I went to Malta in May for 2 weeks and everything went so well,flights on time at Luqa airport,chap waiting for me with my name on a large card he took my case and off to my hotel. I had the same service on my return trip.Most satisfactory all round.

I have used Holiday Gems before with no problems but this time trying to change our holiday was a nightmare. No one to talk to- no reply from the website or email. Eventually I managed to get a lovely girl called Finn who sorted me out.

Had a little problem when booked with no room available, but Geraldine was very helpful put that right at an extra cost of £78.00, got conformation no cases where booked spent 2 days trying to get through to customer service left messages no one even had the decency to get back, so as no help we have had to pay at airport £60 a case that is just there when booked it said cases in the deal nothing was asked or explained so not how I like to travel never had problems in 55 years of travelling before been told we will have a nice room, so just hope we enjoy our holiday thank you

Payment timed out on website, no confirmation on credit card app. Payment taken anyway. Holiday gems say unfortunately to cancel holiday would I cure full costs. Should of trusted the reviews as you can not get hold of anyone on the phone and the email responses are so slow! Looks like we will be going o. The holiday but I wouldn’t recommend this company to book with as they have zero customer service.

Hello James, whereas we cannot comment on the content of your credit card app, the method of payment detail was submitted by you when placing the order and as it did fulfil immediately so the funds were captured. This is explained in the terms of booking that you ticked to agree to when placing the order. The paperwork was then sent to you confirming your booking. We are sorry if you feel there was delay in responding to any enquiry about this, but our customer service team did so within the auto reply timescales advised.

Had never heard of them but they were excellent. Although an online agent there were agents to speak to and help. Compared to the opposition for this particular hotel, Thomas Cook, they were massively superior.

Hi - I found it easy to book my holiday on your website, but when it came to my logging onto my flights with Jet2 to provide passport details and check ini, there was no hold luggage booked, even though your confirmation email and my eticket showed that I had booked 1 suitcase. I phoned customer services today and they said they would rectify it and it should show if I log on tomorrow. I'm glad I tried to add my details early - if I had left it closer to my departure date of 9 September this could have caused an issue.

Tracey we are sorry you could not go on holiday but you are not automatically entitled to refund with us, not least when you inform us after the holiday should have commenced. Your travel insurers should be contacted in this case. The terms and conditions of your booking advise that no refund is due within 33 days of departure.
