“We had a great stay at The Alby. It is a very comfortable, clean and well presented property, only a 5 minute walk from Whitby centre. We really liked the little extras well thought out by the owners for example a toy box packed full of toys and a cupboard full of games which were a life saver as we did not have much packed in terms of entertainment for the little ones. Communication with host and stay was excellent, queries were answered within a matter of minutes. I would definitely recommend staying here.”

“We stayed for 3 nights at white lodge at scalby nice big house but not good to find no mattess protectors and same for the pillows kitchen sink very smelly also lounge very cold radiator not working so didnt sit in it bleach or disinfectant should be left so shan't be staying again”

“We had a lovely stay at the Forest Green Lodge. Everything was clean and modern and the lodge looked very stylish. It was so comfortable and relaxing and the bed was really comfortable too. It was lovely and quiet and the location was ideal within the town centre with street parking easy enough to find, just around the corner from the Castle entrance. We took our 2 dogs and they had a good time also with plenty room for dog beds. Would definitely return again.”

“We stayed in Fauna an appartment in whitby, Great location over looking Pannet park, modern ,clean, comfy beds , well equipped kitchen , and is dog friendly , stayed here in october 2024 ,and just done another 3 days ,will be back ,perfect for our little family.”

“I booked a stay via Expedia with H&S, but after a six-hour drive with a small child, we were unable to access the apartment. After over three hours of back-and-forth with multiple people—some of whom claimed that subletting wasn’t even allowed in the building—we finally gained entry. Once inside, the apartment was in disarray, missing basic essentials like a kettle, toaster, and drinking glasses. Given the poor condition and overall experience, we had no choice but to leave and book a local hotel for the rest of our stay. H&S initially offered a full refund and £110 in compensation. While the refund eventually arrived after nearly 15 days, despite numerous follow-ups, the compensation was never paid. This experience completely disrupted our Christmas trip to visit family in the city. Extremely disappointing.”

“There was no towels, no toilet roll, no soap and worst of all there was no bed sheets for Any of the beds. We got charged for dropping our bags in the day time. We had to ring the emergency number but they couldn’t do anything until the next day. The communication has been terrible. Me, my wife and 4 kids had to sleep on the stained mattress’s”

“We stay at woodland View holmfirth. Lovely and quite for a weekend away, the house was clean ans tidy like a home from home. Bed were really comfortable. We can picture coming back in the summer months and sitting on the terrace looking at the River.”

“I stayed in a Bromyard Road, Worcester apartment. The apartment was fine, could have been cleaned better but not bad. It served a purpose. The customer service was not great though. I was given the wrong code for the key box and spent half an hour on the phone being told it was the right one and I was doing it wrong only to then be told it was actually the wrong code and given a new one to use. Once in, there was no information on the WIFI. I called up and they didn't know what network or password to use and told I would get a call back. I did not get a call back so called them back after half an hour and spent yet another half an hour on the phone before finding out all the details. Things like this should be made available on checking in or physically displayed in the apartment.”

“Stayed at Badger cottage in Pickering. No hot water for 3 of 5 night stay. Difficult to get it sorted with multiple calls although was a simple problem. No refund offered until eventually 10% offered but never paid as yet(6 weeks.)No parking on site. Only one small upstairs bathroom for 4 bedrooms, other bathrooms is off kitchen”

“The Connell apartment was fantastic, the beds were so comfortable. Loved having tv in both bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was a real plus. The views from the lounge are very special to Whitby, love the west cliff area. This has probably been the best apartment we have rented in Whitby over the years. Thank you for a lovely stay.”
